having a hard time catching holl01 :yuck:

ive seen a 1.00.6xx b4 but i have no clue how i got it and i havnt been able to get close.

theres only 1 turn where i think drifting benifits you, and its the left after the hairpin after T1~

heres my T times

T1 : 0:26.194
T2 : 1:00.809
( slower then my last 1 grr... )

have 5 laps that are within .070 of my best lap, so frustrating

Luvky that this car's in arcade mode.

I'm not so good at this one :indiff:

T1: 26.906
T2: 1'03.289

Having huge troubles in T2 with some understeer

Look out for those D3 guys :scared: 👍
Some serious fast drivers in D3 :D

Quick 10 laps netted the following

T1: 27.296
T2: 1.04.119

Losing lots of time between T1 and T2 right now, but I think I can fix that with time.

Benedict
I am sorry about this I havent had the game long, how many days exactly is it until you can open autumn ring? because i havent got it yet :indiff: thanks
Hi Benedict, welcome to GTPlanet and welcome to the WRS.
After a quick search on Google, I found on ABCCheats.com that Autumn Ring unlocks at day 281.

Just ran a 45 minute session, best sectors so far but not during the same lap.
T1: 26.567
T2: 1'01.666 "did that after a 26.850ish T1, still didn't get T2 right like I think I should be doing"

Still getting use to everything after T1. I have T1 almost down to where I'm very happy with the times i'm getting through there. I might be able to do a 26.4 if I get every corner just about right. I think I can get a T2 of a 1'01.0xx or 1'01.1xx.

All 3 T2 corners are very goofy corners with this car. The evo is just bleh  under braking for those corners. So easy to get the rear end to swing right around on you.

had so much time to play today, because i locked my keys in my car :grumpy:

such a nice day in vancouver too, and i couldnt go cruisin~

anywayz got myself a time i think im pretty happy with

T1 0:26.134
T2 1:00.561

hope thats close to ur lap holl01

word of advice to everyone who is using the DFP for this race (in particular Hot6o...), try the DS2, it just gives u superior control, particularly in the opening T1. i tried it with the wheel for about an hour and i couldn't even get near the time i did with DS2.
Also, to hot604, i try not to drift at all throughout the lap, in particular that left hander ur refering to, drifting makes u loose precious exit speed.

Oh yeah, and that T1 of 26.060 i did, dont worry, i'll never do that again, i can assure u, it was one of those one in a million runs where you do every thing perfectly.

The secret is- breaking as late as possible, thats what i found improved my times, and avoid sliding, exept in T1 where u have to be really be agressive with the car to the point of almost loosing it. I'll probably never repeat the lap i did even if i get T2's in the 1'00.5xx cos i produced a stunning finish which i'm yet to repeat.

Hope my advice was useful, from dan

A question.

If you jump over the grass, all 4 tires are over the grass but you never hit the grass, is that ok?

Also If you jump your car 4 wheels in the air, but 2 tires are still over the road, is that ok?

Hmmm cutting the esses at the end of T1 a little close, are we? Cuz I was wondering the same thing, even though my best lap didn't have such an....um...incident. Didn't write down the sector times, so these are rough guestimates.

T1: 26.6xx
T2: 1:01.9xx

Div 2, DS2, and......automatic

thnx for the advice holl01

im gonna go try using the ds2 for a bit, hope my gt3 skillz can help me out here

i do understand that drifting my slow me down, but ive noticed that when all 4 wheelz of the 4WD are in a straight line, i can accelerate alot faster

so getting my car to certain angles allowed me to get pretty quick sector times with the DFP.

im drifting only in 2 corners, pretty drastic drift on the left turn after the hairpin
and another smaller drift at the long uphill left hander leading to the bridge

but i will try doing sum clean lines too.

My times

T1: 0'26.941
T2: 1'02.024
Div. 2, DFP

Good fun combo 👍

If you jump over the grass, all 4 tires are over the grass but you never hit the grass, is that ok?
I would say no, that is still shortcutting.

Also If you jump your car 4 wheels in the air, but 2 tires are still over the road, is that ok?
I would say yes, that is ok

But I will leave it for CFM to decide

Definitely third gear small fryz, because you want maximum tourque.
I have a question for u people about rules when driving. are you allowed to cross over the white line after you exit the first left corner after T1, i'm still on tarmac but i'm not sure if ur allowed to or not?

I'm glad it is considered part of the track, since using it is the only way to get full speed through that corner :)

After 20 more laps I got it down to:

T1 - 26.495
T2 - 101.664

I'm in div 2.

I think if I do everything perfecty I can extract another .5 ....

Yay!!

T1: 26.295
T2: 1'00.875

.1 of my ultimate lap if i chop 'n' change T times

Got some more seat time for another 20 lap session...

[T1] 0:27.832-----0:27.259-----0:26.866
[T2] 1:04.139-----1:03.214-----1.02.012

Slowly but surely I can see this coming together. Seems like there are a lot of ways to go fast around this track with this car. Just need to invest some more time and figure it out.

27.094
1'02.927

Thus far. Tonight the car and track started to settle in a little, a few nuances and corners became more obvious and overall I felt a little more comfortable. I don't actually like the combo, but I believe I can shave a good second off my T2 time there and maybe more. I'm shooting for TWO seconds by the weekend.

Div 3, DFP.

After my second stent i'm sitting on a lap with these sectors:
T1: 26.458
T2: 1'01.088
SS/SS tires
👍 I'm pretty happy with that lap.. I might do another stent later this weekend to try to gain what I think I lost during that lap.

I think I have maybe a tenth to gain, Beyond that I don't see anywhere else I can gain time while doing 4OTF.
I lost a few hundredths in the right hand hairpin after T1. Got a little to hard in and the rear end slid a little to much scrubbing off a few extra mph and bogging the engine down some. I still hate the 1st lefty after T1, no matter what kind of line I have tried the rear end always wants to swing right around.

Has anyone else seen falling leaves after T2 in the left right kink and right turn after that??? Never noticed that until now  Saw some falling leaves and I looked at them instead of the apex for the next right hander and completely wrote of that Evo

You guys were right about this Lancer being confused.. It never makes up it's mind about oversteer and understeer, I wish I could make some suspension changes =/

T1 - 26.883
T2 - 1.02.274

I've slowly been chipping away at this, happy so far, but i fear im close to tapping out. Think there may be a few tenths more to find, just hard to find the little buggers. Trying to keep everything very clean and straight, I am having probs with those T2 corners, so if there is some kind "fast" soul about who can offer a few tips they would be more than welcomed by those of us who are velocity diminished. TIA 👍

Steve

My new times are :

T1 : 26.964
T2 : 1:02.371

So made up 1 sec overall on my previous best ... going to try the DS2 tonight and see what happens ... cause with the DFP I can go no faster ...

This thing flies very nicely as well if one hits those rumble strips ...

Yes i have, Its a real nice touch hey 👍, im sure some get kicked up from your wheels as well .

It must be hard for you to get a good T1 and T3 with 4OTF :banghead:.

Its hard enough being fast and keeping 2 wheels on the track 🤬.

I think ive reached my limit, only one tenth to be gained from my mix'n'match T times lap, will see what happens when i try some more later on today. :mischievous:

Falling ?
There were fallen leaves on this part of the track in GT1 (I think) and GT Concept (for sure), but I never saw them actually in the process of falling.
Or is it me who misunderstood your post ?

After 10 more laps, best clean T2 at 1'03.421. Barely worth mentioning :(

Just had a chance to get on the ps2 and give this a quick 5 laps.

T1 - 26.762
T2 - 1.02.004

Hopefully get some time over the coming weekend to get stuck into it, if not this time will do...

Div 2 (DS2)

Man you dfp guys must be getting sore arms.....

Cant wait to get my dfp tomorrow :)

Ok I want my VII back .. sigh This VIII SUCKS!!!!! :yuck:

I loved the Evo VII and could run it great in GT3, thi VIII just drives like a rock by the feel of it. But maybe after I get use to it more, will like it again. :P

Anyways ~ got a second memory card so I didn't srew up my GT Mode, and advanced the 100ish days I needed for the Ring. T-Times are not worth mentioning right now. Hope to work on it tomorrow after work.

flat-out

Falling leaves from the trees above! Indeed, there are tons of leaves covering the rumble strips and every once and a while a leaf or two will fall from the tree to the pavement. I've only seen it happen once though. Thats what caught me off guard and made me pay complete attention to something i've never seen in GT before.
