You got that right. The Supra has the best colour scheme ever. That's the only reason why I choose it. Who wants an ugly NSX or a chubby Skyline?

Wooo! OK here's the deal everyone. No one post any more T-Times for the rest of the week. I'm sure Flat-Out was going to mention that in the rules but it slipped his mind. And Koly, if you wanted to change that '?' on the leaderboard for 'DS2', you can at any time.

I would, but something about Luxy's code BARFS when we do multiple lappers ... go back and check previous weeks ... the controller is fine for single laps, always defaults to "?" for more than 1. Nothing I can do, sorry ... it's Luxy's domain :(

Did I hear some trash talking? Or was I just dreaming? Nah, it couldn't have been from Nat could it? Wish I could say for sure if I am gonna put in the time. I'll let u know laters.

Well... I can tell you that if you DO race, you're going to get beat by a Div. 2'er... So maybe you shouldn't race...

I'm going to be using the '01 Loctite NSX, because I like the way IT looks the most. And I like MR cars. Sadly, it's overweight you say? Oh well... I'mma give it my all(time permitting, which it won't be very, but we'll see), this'll be my first time really going at it on this track, but it's about damn time I get the whole thing down. I might be able to squeeze some laps in when I get back from my other job.

Cyril, AWESOME layout for this week's race man, definitely 👍

Splits from a 30 minute session with the au Cerumo Supra:

T1 - 35´084
T2 - 58´925
T3 - 1´19´460

T1 - 28´375
T2 - 52´471
T3 - 1´13´119

realistic goals for me are 1´18´9 and 1´11´9, based on what i lost in those laps...
great race, too bad its my first time in motegi full, still have no idea what´s a good lap there... only race in motegi short i think... the week we had the civic...

Don't really feel like unlocking any cars, so I guess I'll pick from the apparently short list of cars already available in arcade mode. If I don't like the looks of them, I'll try to go unlock something I guess.

Awesome 👍
I will definitely find time to run this one...

Time to take the Denso Supra out of the garage, just for the sake of good ol' times :D
(my first WRS race ever was run in the Denso Supra, at Complex String II - Week 100).

I don't care if the other cars are faster, I know what I will be racing this week :sly:

The Wizard.

nice combo again flat OUT. i'll probably be testing most cars tonight and see which car gives the best T1 split. but that may be pretty hard to work out. but still gonna be fun combo this week!!

First clean race.

Nissan xanavi hiroto GT-R '01. Just 'cuz it sounds so cool! (Plus it's only 990 kg.)

Lap 1
T1: 35.259 (ouch!)
T2: 58.896
T3: 1'19.372 (this should have been in the mid 1'18's)

Lap 2
T1: 28.420
T2: 52. 018
T3: 1'12.456 (better, but still losing at least .5 or more!)

LOTS of work to do on this one! Missing brake points, turn ins, and shifts all over. :ouch:

JGTC is really not my cup of tea. I have trouble feeling what the car is doing for some reason. That and wide open tracks spell mediocre for me usually. But it should be interesting to see if I can improve. 👍 Got some free time coming up, so maybe I will have to give it a more serious go this week.

Ok, I take that back... My time this week is limited to tonight(I didn't get enough sleep last night either), and tomorrow afternoon. I don't know what time I'm getting off of work, but it's sooner than the normal 5, so I should have some time to run before Pat takes the PS2 down to California where it will reside permanently... :(!!!! So, that'll mean no more GT4 for me, at least not nearly on a regular basis. I'll see how often my friend uses his PS2 and see if I can borrow it... Meh. Sad.

can't you get a second hand ps2 pretty cheap now-a-days?
especially with the launch of the 360, people gotta be selling them like hot-cakes to raise funds for the insane-o price tag.

Maybe, but I don't really want to spend money on one... But I just might... :-D

Pat's leaving? Bummer :( I thought we were all going to hang out for a little.

Now you need to entice Jerome into living with you :P j/k

No, his kids are in Cali, and he's just giving them the PS2... He's going to be down there for Thanksgiving. Then he's back up here, without the working PS2. We'll still have another PS2, but it has problems reading anything...

And, I took out the Loctite... Then took out the Penz. Zexel Skyline, then the Castrol '00 Supra. I liked the supra the best. The NSX has crappy brakes compared to the two other lighter cars, and I need good brakes the way I drive... Hahah, especially when I have to deal with AI that doesn't realize it isn't the only thing on the track. I have one clean race, and will hope to get a few more in tomorrow, maybe in a '01 Supra if I can buy one. See how that works out.

Casio
Thought I better get first in. But I hate posting first, I don't know how bad these are!

Lap 1:
T1 - 36.252
T2 - 1'00.410
T3 - 1'21.378

Lap 2:
T1 - 20.447
T2 - 52.817
T3 - 1'13.522

I'm using the Castrol Tom's Supra GT '00 , with Gears at 300.

This will be my car the whole event, I havn't tested any others, but I like the feel of this one.

i beieve that is a 30.447 and not a 20.447...

1st clean lap

LAP 1
T1: 36.926
T2: 1'01.887
T3: 1'23.918

LAP 2
T1: 29.579
T2: 54.639
T3: 1'16.549

viciously slow at the moment... due to 2 things, one being i haven't driven this track bugger all, and two i am a little bit drunk at the moment... :sly:

Ok Guys and Gals.

Don't know if anyone has done the maths yet, but here is food for thought.

The Honda's are all MR and p/w is around 0.4831 hp/kg at 500hp (except the Loctite & Mobil which are 0.4811 hp/kg at 498hp), ALL hit 1035kg

The Nissans are FR and ALL are 0.502 hp/kg because they can only hit 497 hp and 990kg

The Toyota's are FR and all are 0.505 hp/kg, ALL hit 500hp and 990kg

So the p/w ratios suggest that the Supra's will be slightly better for accel, but the NSX's are MR so they are better balanced but suffer from the dreaded rear-end-snap effect we all endured in the NSX race at the top of the series (can't remember which week it was, but it was early on)

Not sure which i will use but it will probably be a supra, cos i like 'em!

Neil

The Supras really have the best brakes as KLR142 stated, so I'm going with one of them.

..Ok, have plumped for the Esso Ultraflo!

Nice handling, excellent brakes, it's a Supra so it's got the higher p/w ratio!

A.I. set to -5, and medium tyres!

weight -10 (990kg)
power +8 (500hp)
top speed set to 270
tyres RSS
No aids

L1
T1 36.234
T2 1'00.812
T3 1'22.141

L2
T1 30.378
T2 55.213
T3 1'16.486

Totally clean, took me 6 or 7 tries to get away from the AI bumping me in the ass for passing them.

Lots to find, messed up a little in the second lap, missed a gear-change,missed a braking point, BTTW too early in one corner.............usual stuff!

Neil

Very nice combo, Cyril. 👍

My first WRS race back in week 42 was also in a Supra. That time I chose TOM'S.

This time in the ESSO Ultraflo Supra:

Lap 1: 36.448 - 1'00.738 - 1'21.606
Lap 2: 28.624 - 52.734 - 1'13.301

Anyone found a good AI combo? I've tried a bunch now and they're ruining the race for me :(

Man, these multiple lappers KILL me when updating the board. I think I have everything done, but if I've missed someone or made a type, just shout out.

Casio, please check your 20.xxx time ... seems a tad fast?

I'm having success with this:

Difficulty 5, Hard Tires. Gives you the XK220 in 5th place which can slightly hold you up in the first corner, but the rest flow pretty well (I can't remember what 4th was, some yellow car, then an RX8, RX7 (?), then a Fairlady or GT-R).

My first week in the WRS was also a Supra... That's what my "Supraman" comment from earlier was an allusion to.

Guess there aren't many of us old timers still around since it seems no one picked up on it.

Week 1 was titled "Supraman."
That must have been about 3 years ago now though. :boggled:
No wonder my comments were over-looked.
(of course there are other reasons for that as well ;) )

In any case, I ran a few laps in my Blue Calsonic since everyone seems to like the supras.
Didn't manage anything special and only pulled 1'14 or so in the second lap.

I suppose it will be later in the week before I can really say where my times are... That first lap is the hardest one to get down. :banghead:
Getting a good lap there is always harder than getting a good lap on the second go-round. :sly:

Back later with my results, but until then,
Y'all have fun.

Later. :D

Erm, i'm new and I was wondering where can i find this board?

hmmmmm. I'll take a look at the lineup tonight. Maybe I got lucky the first time out???? But I just went with the old standard AI on RSH @ -10.

Passed 5th on the starting straight, 4th on the first righthander, (had to go a tad wide)
3rd just after the turn exit, then drafted 2nd and 1st and nipped both at the end of the straight just before the left, without a problem. Just had to take the corner a little weird by approaching from the inside.

I hope I get the same joy again!! :scared:
