I had to stick my head in here, cos im touting the big blue message in the bottom of my sig.... and any UK GT'ers would be welcome...

Its nice to see the WRS still going, but unfortunately it seems a lot quieter in here than it used to be back in the day....

Nevermind....

I had a quick go at this combo last nite, and i find the car very challenging to drive, though a bit wallowy through the bends, and i dont think i'll be submitting (forgotten how to!), but if someone comes up with a combo on the other ring soon, please let me know!! hint hint

@CHIPS, good luck with the BC, shame we havent chatted in a while, and @ Dave George, i hope you're back from being chained to a lampost naked in time for my party mate!!!?

Good luck to all, if i get a time that is worthy of being in Div 1, i'll submit.

:irked:👍

btw, nice play on numbers with the title there Cyril!

Anyone using 1st gear at all? I doubt it, but the right after T1 seems veeery slooow in 2nd. I'm probably not doing it right though. :grumpy:

I'm definitely using 1st gear through that corner... Of course, my times are pretty darn slow. :) Just have to be careful getting back on the gas -- too fast and you'll spin the rear tires and slide all over the place.

What I've got so far:

26.702 (saw 26.40x)
1'01.606

Finished pretty well but I want a bit more.

well used small fryz advice and had another go at the combo, this time using 1st gear for 3 corners and it worked well for the 1st corner

26.479
1'01.253

and took .12 off at the line;)

Meh, I guess I may spend some more time on this before it's over...

Wait, so you ONLY used it for the first corner? Or also the other place or two that it seems useful?

I used it around the first corner and then right after T1 when I did my short session on Monday...

New splits:

T1: 0`26.794
T2: 1`01.956

I'm now using first gear for the first corner and the one after T1 👍

you guys are crazy. I am making progress, in my own right, but nothing compared to everyone else! :dopey:

28.043
1'04.022

or maybe it's the excess of wine.... 💡

EDIT: better times

27.806
1'03.703

that´s interesting. maybe that´s why i was so slow... i had this splits tonight, but using second gear for those hairpins

26´610
1´01´598

i was going to post something like: "i hate this car" "don´t drop bellow 60kmp, otherwise you die"

so now i have to try this 1st gear stuff to see if it works

T2: 1`01.956

I'm now using first gear for the first corner and the one after T1 👍
Pffft, now WHY would you do something like that? :dopey:

I've tried using 1st gear but generally just sent the tyres to smoke. From the little testing I did I found it to be even par with holding 2nd gear.

I might have to try it a little more though.

2nd gear is way too slow. I never even thought about using it, the car doesn't have enough power to pull from it. You need to use 1st for the first corner, the corner after T1, and maybe the uphill left before T2 depending on how fast you can take it.

My times aren't fast but the only place I would contemplate 1st gear is the tight hairpin.

I'm having no problems with 2nd in turn one, or in the long hairpin before T2. :odd:

thats what i did casio, but 1st gear only has huge benifits on the first corner, for the one after T1, and the uphill left b4 T2, i used first gear, but 2nd gear works just as good if not better, if u thread the needle with it that is, but 1st is more consistent and probably better in the long run;)

update on paris quest, paid for my plane ticket in full today;), all i need to do is tidy up the passport, and its set in stone;)

I will return to the WRS next week, I have been gone for about a year but I am on summer break from college and I am ready to return ^_^.

see you next week Div 2.

Welcome back Circa86. I remember you had the 'No Doubt' avatar back when we raced, and we had some great battles too 👍. I look forward to racing you again.

New T-Times
T1 - 26.599
T2 - 1'01.507

You're damn fast this week Brad but I might just catch you if I get T1 right :sly:

T1: 0`26.852
T2: 1`01.775

Game on 👍

my first time in lap 6

i ve got some free periods :)

0:26,729
1:01,940

edit:

00:26,438 :scared:
01:01,549

sucked up that long corner befor T2 :nervous:

Decided to run a few here also 👍 ... great track but the car is heavy as hell!

anyway so far I'm at 26.474 / 1'01.540 in my best save, ( seen 26.431 / 1'01.499 ) losing lots between T1 and T2 it seems ... will try some more laps later in the week :)

Laters
Ron.

Just had a few laps in my first WRS race and I'm really enjoying the car - big, heavy and powerful to chuck it through the lovely Autumn Ring corners :)

Best times so far...
28.057
1.04.813

Which I'm very pleased with looking at the Division 3 times on the Leader Board so far.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong in the second sector, but I manage to lose alot of time compared to a fair few of you guys. In T1 I'm doing low/mid '26s then I get to T2 and I'm at 1'03 or 1'04. :indiff:

Welcome aboard, darkblueturbo!

T1: 28.757
T2: 1'06.030

Making little progress but that only means I gotta work harder. At least these new splits gets me within a 5sec gap to Holl01. :)

Damn, Rob -- how am I ever going to catch up with you if you keep improving? ;)
 It's early days yet. There's plenty of time left to catch up and overtake me ;) I can't see myself going much faster than this, if any. I just wanted to get below 1'02 for T2 so now i have i think i'm probably done for the week.

New splits after another hour last night,

T1 0'28.051
T2 104.027

Doesn't move me up but at least it's closer. Lots of time to find by the looks of things, I'm having a lot of fun with this one. I usually do 5 to 10 lap stints, I looked up at one point last night and I was on lap 28! :dopey:

I'm off to look into that first gear thing, I could do with shaving a few more seconds off. :dunce:

First splits..

T1: 26.773
T2: 1'01.865

Am able to beat my ghost to T2 but that last bit's tricky.... chasing you this week MrW:) 👍

You and me both mate!

I think I'll have one more push and that'll be it - I don't think there's much time left out there for me now. :indiff:
