One last GT Mode multilapper event race before BC starts. During the coming weeks we will mostly run arcade races so that racers who take part in BC can dedicate much time to BC races without having to skip the WRS.
As opposed to week 55, pre-qualifying is not possible in this race because it's not a championship. And to test the lap time posting we discussed recently, there is a special rule this rule that allows it.

W00t for Civics!

This one I actually like, as opposed to the Vette last week (not so much the combo, I just hate Vettes in general).

And since school is out Wednesday, I'll have more time to do it.

thought there would be more time tonight to put sum miles on the vette but with this awsome combo..... NO CHANCE

".... who's afraid of the big black hood...":nervous:

Yay, time for some rice. 👍

This'll stop me using the throttle like an on/off switch. :D

Edit after next post: I've just noticed that too Neil. I'll be using the '00 till I'm told otherwise.

Cyril!

The Spoon Civic Type R (EK) in the tuning section/spoon is a '00 not a '98!

Is that the one we need to buy? The Hp matches with all allowed upgrades.

If it's right.......

Here are the first splits for the board:
L1
T1 36.152 (still getting the start right)
T2 1'03.115
SF 1'36.451
L2
T1 26.812
T2 53.466
SF 1'26.267
Total 3'02.718

Neil

Yeah, that has to be the one.
I had the pics ready but I had forgotten to note down exactly the car and track name, and I'm away from home this week so I couldn't check before posting.
Thanks Neil for being so vigilant ;)

".... who's afraid of the big black hood...":nervous:

hehe...lets see if i can put some quality time on this combo!....looking forward to have some serious competition with you!...of course with other d2 guys as well

Took mine in yellow, I don't like white cars much. :P

Lap 1
T1: 38.039
T2: 1'05.744
T3: 1'41.156
Lap 2
T1: 27.388
T2: 54.913
T3: 1'28.422
Total Time: 3'09.578

Recorded the time intentionaly as a slow one. Did it with stock drivetrain and the sport suspension included with the car. Now to work on proper racing...

Just had a quick go, still not got the understeer dialled out yet. :(

Total time 3'01.721

I'll put the splits up later. Or a faster time, whichever's first.👍

Board Initialised

Dunno if I've gone with the best method but it's easy enough to maintain, I have a spreadsheet that works it all out for me before it goes into the leaderboard 👍

Then it's the best method :)

Edit :
Colby, you mention 'weight : any' in the board title, but there's no way one can reduce or increase the car weight : 820kg it is, and 820kg it'll remain whatever you do.

Hmm we can discuss total time...cool.

I'll mess around with this when I get back; I don't have to study very hard for my final 2 exams tomorrow (engineering and social studies...both my easiest classes).

Btw, I love the sound of this car.... :sly:

A hybrid is using a cheat device to combine parts of cars to get advantages. An example I've seen on GTP is a Mini body with an F1 chassis, suspension, and engine. Obviously this is unfair, but if you don't have a cheat device you can't do it, so don't worry about it if you use GT4 by itself.

EDIT: I'm not afraid of the big black hood; I like the carbon "ricer" look :)

:ouch:
And so it ends... Test Schmest. :(

Hope the new system works well (even if it isn't official yet).
At this point though, I just wonder why a poll was even offered.
It seemed to me that the field was pretty split and in each poll there was a large group of "no voters." A group of no voters of that size killed the G/S/B idea atleast 2 times in the past. :(
In any case, the WRS as I've known it for the last 3 years has just died. :(

Oh well. :D
Doesn't really matter.

Any way, best wishes to all of you with the new system and leaderboard style.
Hopefully this will just add to the character of the WRS and not do as I feared- take away what made the WRS unique.

Come on, you old man... Nothing's final till something's final! :-P

Anywho, this sounds like a fun race... :sly: I'll see what I can do, not sure what, but I'm quite glad there isn't a major power increase, oh yes I am... 👍 Cyril!

Tried a few laps...my settings suck horribly....(probably because they're derived from my '04 Civic Type-R drift settings :sly: )

Best final of 2'59.2xx

It's all in the settings....I think

All I have tonight, last 2 exams tomorrow.

Oh, don't put my time on the scoreboard.

this is my first result after about 5 starts. i hope you guys know that interrupting a race and restarting affects your win ratio in gt mode?

t1 - 36.542
t2 - 1.03.574
t3 - 1.37.320
t4 - 27.466
t5 - 54.502
t6 - 1.28.496

wow you have engineering class in high school...nice...

good luck with your exams!!

Guess I'll post the first set-ups:

18.0/18.0
78/89
7/7
3/3
7.0/5.0
0/0
6/6
NO LSD (I don't know how to tune that part yet.)
This set-up is for a late trail-breaker, so this one isn't for everybody.
And can someone who knows tuning tell me what they thimk of mine? This is my first tune I feel good with, but I'm not sure if can be better.
Best lap in testing:
0'26.291
0'52.997
1'25.883

Now for real splits:
T1 0'37.788
T2 1'05.261
T3 1'38.590

T4 0'27.281
T5 0'54.160
T6 1'27.066

T7 3'05.656
Goal: t < 3'04.6xx

getting plenty of 2'59s but am struggling to tune out all the understeer, at the moment, with the settings i am using i will struggle to get into the 2'58s... :(

well, the setup is crap, putting it bluntly, due to the extremely high camber values, with an ff car, u want to reduce the camber, dunno the exact physics of the camber settings though

That filter between thought and speech still on the blink there Dan :sly: I'll help you out:

"Your setup is great but could use some minor tweaking with the camber. For a front-wheel drive car you should try lowering the camber a little 👍 "

[/DAN'S-MISSING-FILTER]

trying to help out filizola. i did some tweaking in gtvault so this might help.
a spring setting of 18/18 is somewhat high, i'd pick anything in the 10-15 range.
3/3 for rear shocks ... i'd say try 5/5 first.
a camber of 7 and 5 is, as dan so politely said, strange. if you dont understand how it works leave at default (2/1).
6/6 for the stabilizers can be ok but might be stiff for such a light car.
tcs should be set if you hear your front tyres spin (which i do using the ds2). if so, set to 1 or 2.
lsd: still dont understand much, but i understand lowering each value a bit works.
you can also set the brake balance, try 3/3 for starters since the car is so light and stops quite easily. if you want some oversteer (back braking out) set the rear brakes to a high value. if not enough you could consider picking harder tyres in the back wheels.
gear setting: do the tranny trick first. i learned this at gtvault and it works pretty well. first, set the final to max. slide auto to max then to min. now go back to final and slide back to where you want it (eg 3.3). i always begin at a value where the last line in the graph points at the upper right corner, and adjust to higher/lower if the car doesnt accelerate enough or if topspeed is too low. i always look if it maxes out at the end of the longest straight.
dont ask how but it works well on gear ratios.

me dont have filter:dopey:

I have to say i'm loving the car. I've actually got the same shape and year civic as this in RL:

I'm hoping to do the old girl proud although it's going to be tough  :
Anyway here's my first splits:

T1 - 35.262
T2 - 1'02.029
Lap 1 - 1'34.263
T1 - 26.203
T2 - 0'52.862
Lap 2 - 1'24.900
Final - 2'59.163

Can i just check; are we allowed to drive on the area to the outside of the white lines in the tunnels? I think we probably are but just wanted to check anyway before i waste time perfecting what could turn out to be illegal lines through some corners.

*Edit*

Just ran a 2'58.351 but not sure if it's clean or not as i'm still not sure if the area in the tunnels is legal?

New and final (probably) times from me!

L1
T1 35.983
T2 1'02.668
SF 1'35.631
L2
T1 26.496
T2 53.137
SF 1'25.788

Total 3'01.419

With these settings

Susp:
9.0/10.9
76/89
--/--
4/4
6/6
2.0/1.0
1/0
4/4
Brakes:4/9
Gears:Auto 6 (no tranny trick as IMO (and other's) it doesn't work in GT4)
LSD:5/30/15
Driving aids:0/2/2:crazy:

Don't like FF cars, they don't suit MY driving style.
