1'01.395
1'33.398
25.690
51.445
1'23.427
2'56.825

If i could improve my 1st lap times I would be making some real progress.

I'm surprised I'm doing so well this week. I don't remember being this close to Niel.

Not any more! ;)

New splits!
L1
T1 35.087
T2 1'01.455
SF 1'33.878
L2
T1 26.254
T2 52.596
SF 1'24.998

Total 2'58.876

So I lied! Gonna keep going, starting to get the hang of this combo!

edit:
One thing that is really puzzling me is that I am 1.5 approx seconds quicker than Dan up to T2 on both laps, then lose 2.5 seconds in 4 corners to be a second behind at the line!
I going through the corners at more-or-less the same pace as he states in his run-through, using the same method, so how am I losing that much time?:grumpy:

OUCH!!!! Sorry to hear that man! What's the plan of action?
Thanks. I plan to feel sorry for myself for the rest of the day. Then tomorrow i'll probably go buy another memory card, download an ubersave and hopefully get back to this weeks combo.

Casio
So, before this turns into a couple of weeks ago.

What's the go with qualifying?
I would quite like to know this too.

Had a 1 hour session, notable things:

Lap1:
Saw a 24.733, 1'00.9xx, and a 1'32.8xx a few times

Lap2:
Saw a 1'23.548

If I could put them together, I'll be a happy person.

I'm taking a break for today, maybe have another go later.

I would quite like to know this too.

It's not a championship, only a set of 5 individual races, so there's no possibility to qualify so as to start on pole position. This is mentioned in the first part of post #1 :)

I hate FF cars...

3.04.362 is my best so far...
T1 - 36.747
T2 - 1.03.655
T3 - 1.36.843
T4 - 28.376
T5 - 55.036
T6 - 1.27.519
T7 - 3.04.362

T1 - 36.364
T2 - 1.03.119
T3 - 1.35.800
T4 - 27.247
T5 - 53.593
T6 - 1.26.933
Overall - 3.02.733

Well pleased with this time. No idea where that first lap came from. My final sector of the 2nd lap is very untidy - got all sideways coming out of the fast left and scrubbed off loads of speed before the penultimate bend.
I've tried a few more times but I can't replicate that first lap and beat my overall time...

Good splits for Div3 there. Hope more Div3 guys post splits soon.

@Niel: I expected you to get faster times. I only ment that except for Week51 I haven't been in the Div2 range.

Using hollo1' s setup 👍 with LSD Accel set to 45, my splits so far :)

T1 - 35.683
T2 - 1'01.815
T3 - 1'34.424
T4 - 26.172
T5 - 52.202
T6 - 1'24.441
Final - 2'58.865

Board Updated

And by the way Neil, holl01's splits are not actual splits, he only posted final lap times. So to avoid having the leaderboard put bizzare inifinity symbols there I put token splits. Same with shockwaveracing 👍

Well thanx for completely screwing up my sense of reality!

Wondered why both had the same splits.................Screwy MoFo!

It was weird that they had majorly slow splits and buggery fast final lap times!

Maybe the rules should state that FULL SPLIT/LAPTIMES should be provided!

And SF/final time only provisions should be ignored, as they are fantastical, and too open to interpretation.

If Lap-times are going to be included, then CORRECT split times HAVE to be provided also!
Dan was all for the inclusion of full lap times as well as splits, so he should include them in his post's

Anything else is just stupid!

Neil

Somebody suggested that you start in 3rd at 4 thousand rpms. I did this and cut a full second off my first split.
35.723
1'02.585
1'35.445

26.277
53.011
1'25.611

3'01.061

If you give the front more camber than the back it gives you more traction when comeing out of turns right? I put it on 2/.5 and ran this time. I dont know if it was just a good run or helped by the camber. This run was almost a half second faster than any previous ones.

My original goal was sub 3 mins. and I just Got it:) . I am really satisfied with this time so this could be it but who knows
35.260
1'01.879
1'34.630

26.251
52.800
1'25.107

2'59.737
and MisterWeary im in division 3 for your leader board:tup:

2 Laps...meh.....AI...Ugh!.....Track Not Bad....Car...👎 👎 Not gonna waste anymore time in this POS. But hey, everyone's opinions vary. Haven't tried changing any settings and I'm running about 2:59.497, see ya's next week maybe ;)

You gave up too soon Jerome... That's all... AI can be gotten around before the first turn... And yes, the car takes some getting used to with it's slippery FWDness, but once you get the hang of it, it isn't that bad. I hated it when I first sat down, but I told myself that there's no way a Spoon handles this poorly, and I learned to drive it.

HHmm...perhaps, but atleast soemone else thinks the car handles like a steamy pile...lol. Prolly should be helping with our testing anyway :ouch:

OK, i'm back in business with my memory card thanks to some help from Dion. 👍 Got some splits similar to the ones i got the other day. Settings are my own.

T1 - 0'34.920
T2 - 1'01.516
T3 - 1'33.892
T4 - 0'26.092
T5 - 0'52.365
T6 - 1'24.388
T7 - 2'58.280

I think you misunderstood my post, :sly:, I think it handles well! It just takes some time to get used to the driving style required... SO, GO SPEND SOME TIME ON IT BIATCH! And then get to testing some BC6 proposals too... 👍

New splits. I had a very close call with one of the AI off the line but after watching the start from a zillion different angles I'm confident it's clean:

T1: 0`34.904
T2: 1`01.016
L1: 1`33.146
T1: 0`26.102
T2: 0`52.232
L2: 1`24.202

Finish: 2`57.348

Maybe 0.2 - 0.3 on the second lap but the rest is near my limit with Dan's settings I think?!?

Board Updated

Actually, Colby, I'm pretty sure you can shave off more than just .2-.3 on your last lap with your current settings and what not... Look at the speed of your first lap!

Also, try out a lower LSD accel setting. I haven't had a chance to compare yet, but I think it may be better... I'd love to see what you think of it if you could try it out.

did some practice, but I can't see myself going sub 3

T1 : 36.422
T2 : 1'02.985
T3 : 1'36.425
T4 : 25.997
T5 : 52.345
T6 : 1'25.177
T7 : 3'01.602

Switched to holl's settings:
T1-0'35.192
T2-1'01.913
T3-1'34.452
T4-0'26.082
T5-0'52.368
T6-1'24.962

T7-2'59.414:tup:
💡 Now I think I can get a sub-'59.

Well I decided to have another run and I changed the LSD to 45 like you suggested Kyle and whether that helped me or something else twigged I dunno, but now I have some pretty nice splits:

T1: 0`34.960
T2: 1`01.135
L1: 1`33.104
T1: 0`25.843
T2: 0`51.802
L2: 1`23.705

Finish: 2`56.809

Still another 0.2 - 0.3 in lap 1 but I'm pretty happy so far 👍

Board Updated

First splits for the week

T1: 0'34.742
T2: 1'00.960
L1: 1'32.986
T1: 0'25.835
T2: 0'51.845
L2: 1'23.554

Finish: 2'56.540

Pretty happy with splits but i'm no civic fan:yuck:

at KLR142

Yeah you may be right about PD modelling smaller tires on the rear, but that would be suprising.

I think the lower grip tires on rear gives the car better corner exit speed, but I think you might be be right about braking.

It would be smarter to setup up the car to get corner exit speed and keep the better braking.

and I realized i probably can't race this one anyway :) to damn busy again, hopefully next week, it is a shame if I can't because I love the Spoon EK.

Tis a shame indeed! Can't wait to have you back and racing again!

Glad to hear you went back to the track Colby... :) I told ya there was more in it!

I might get around to racing some more tonight or tomorrow sometime. For now though, I need to just kick back for a while, I'm pooped.

Well check out the Volvo I posted in the pit stop thread while you're kicking back, it's gold :sly:

you guys would S*** yourselves if you knew my setup.

Hopefully I can get this MAXDRIVE straightened out soon, and be eligible for this week. in the 2:56 bracket right now...prolly the best I'll do too.

EDIT: I'm .023 behind someone, might have to go for that.
