That sounds fun:), one thing I want to know before I go out and buy it is
can I make the car steer all the way to lock at any speed like Forza.
Because right now the car will not steer enough at high speeds,
and too much at low speeds.

i wont bother answring that question, just go out and buy one!

submitting my laptime to cyril.
almost made it to my first div3 gold this week ...
never mind, can't upload a replay anyway.
can't wait to see what flatty has in stock for us this week.

Won't be submitting my time this week, hated the combo too much and was a pain in the ass to improve time and time again :yuck:
well bram i must say now i don't like you anymore too much. but then again as your nickname is toyota you won't like german ubercars too much ...
👍 :)

Struggling to keep up with the D1 (and D2) guys at the moment :ill:
When I first started I just couldn't understand where the time was hiding - I was getting high 1'10s and low 1'02s. I had a proper session last night though and the time started falling – I saw one 1’08.9 and fairly consistent 1’00.8s but nothing lower even on dirty laps.

I guess one crucial section is the fast right-left before T2 – not letting your speed go below c.195km/h (maybe the top drivers are going through there even faster?), which I don’t manage too often because I'm generally too conservative there.

Might have a last go tonight if I have time, but it’s not looking good. Might try throwing the car around a bit more aggressively and see if that helps. :scared:

Stay real close to the inside of all corners and let the tail slip out just a tad by using half throttle around the sweepers...iceman's settings are gold too 👍

I'll answer that one for ya!

Yes the DFP will let you lock-lock at speed, however and it is a big however, the main benefit of the DFP is the 900 degree function!
Lock to lock is 900 degrees!
Therefor you will have a job doing it cos of the F.F.

You can, if you would so wish, put the wheel into the 270 degree mode and go lock to lock very easily. But it's way twitchy, cos even minute movements of the wheel result in strong steering inputs.

But I digress,

The input of the DFP is very linear to the game input, it's very accurate.
Therefor your driving will become smoother, more consistant, and as a result faster.

In essence, in conclusion, and to so as not to procrastinate any longer...........

Do what Holl said,

Just do it!

You will have to adjust slightly, but it's much better.

Minor update. I'm now just getting pissed, on how my 2nd lap time is more than a second slower than my fastest hotlap, same goes for T2 on that lap as well.
In hotlap mode you don't have tire wear, your tires are already warmed up to their maximum grip levels, and supposedly there isn't the extra weight of gas??? Hotlap is always faster, period. You're pretty flying if you ask me... I haven't gotten my T1 to T2 down anywhere near what you're doing, so who knows about the T2 to T3... May I ask what settings you're using? I haven't had a chance to play since last time I did earlier this week, and I'm not sure how much time I'll have tonight...

That's the car, not the steering. If you turn it to lock you'll just scrub a ton of speed and understeer like mad. The point of the DFP is using LESS steering than you would with the DS2 because you're smooth enough to get through the turn... My roommate doesn't like the way the DFP drives because he says it doesn't feel right when you slide...? Anywho, the DFP isn't for everyone. If you have enough time, and have the skills hidden within you, it can be a tool to maximise your speed through the turns, but it's very, very hard to do.

If you have a time, why not submit it?

If you have a time, why not submit it?

One of the most sensible remark I've ever read.
I would have ***clicked***, hadn't I already repped you recently. :)

Amen to that. I'd give you one as well, but alas, I haven't spread enough to do so again yet...

Seriously though, if you have a submittable time, there is NO reason what so ever for ANYONE to not submit it. There's nothing wrong with coming first in your division either, it shouldn't be hard to get a replay device... Even if you don't get a replay device, there's nothing wrong with being disqualified, you still see what you are capable of doing compared to the others and can guage your improvements that way.(if everyone submitted anyway and spent the same amount of time each week as they normally would)

+Rep for that (#130), you're spot-on :)

Which is why I plan to take a winning spot in DIII even though I have no way of verifying it :dopey:

New splits.

Lap 1
T1 0'23.370
T2 1'10.180
Lap 2
T1 0'15.109
T2 1'00.867

Probably be the times I'll submit as I can't see me beating those. Used Neils (BTTW's) set-up with a few minor tweaks here and there and MisterWeary's launch technique, (floor it as the lights change :) 👍).

Fancy a nice Bratz dolls 'tar for next week Neil?

Thankyou everone:), I just need a little more cash and I can go get one.
And I sent in my time, I can see a faster time but the wall pulls me in:(.

I've submitted now too 👍

Oh and by the way Brad my friend...if I happen to extend my winning streak to 2...this is your new avatar :sly:

OK then - I got a bit closer to the pace last night but now I've run out of time again.

23.329
1'09.219

15.077
1'00.453

Time submitted.

Thanks to all those who shared settings - I tried all the options I think and tweaked a few things which didn't help me much and finally settled on a combination of Iceman's and Randy's - thanks fellas. 👍
I also wasted an hour running with VCD at 45 and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting within 0.5 of my previous best splits - if you accidentally hit the control/standard dropdown selector instead of the button to the right of it, it automatically resets all the values to their defaults. 🤬

The last thing I did was to change the ASM understeer to 5 :guilty: and put some pretty random LSD values in and immediately gained about 4 tenths, but by that time my eyelids were drooping...

Good luck everyone.

Um guys. The deadline is still 11.5 hours away, it's not over yet.

So **** you Andy, and **** you Colby.

I thought I'd go easy on him, can't go escalating the feud too quickly...that always ends in tears :sly:

Well in that 11.5 hours Brad I expect quite a few tears and the end result is only gonna be disappointing for ya, why don't you just submit what you got and wear your avatar like a man

haha... i'm going to get so owned this week.
i woke up early today and had just barely enough time to slap on some guesswork settings, take 3 shots at it and submit.

23.680
1'10.270

15.105
1'00.761

off to work...

AHHHHH!!!! I wish I had more time on my hands these days!!! I just had a quick session and turn the ASM Under on (2, 3 scrubbed to much speed), and I've found over a second and a half! But, I have to go, and will have to settle with a measly one second improvement... I saw a 1'08.5?!? Submitted time has a 1'08.6 something, but I slow down for a turn that I shouldn't have just after that... :( Submitted and late for work!!!

shockwaveracing
Barbie looks manly enough for Brad already...

:D

Board times about to be submitted, was going to try a last ditch attempt tonight but can't be bothered. New challenge should be up by now so I guess I'll be getting on with that instead. :)

20 minutes remaining and 16 times in so far.
Podium spots are still easy to reach.

Notice :
Sorry, I'm one hour in advance...
Didn't notice it was only 8pm GMT and I was one click away from posting the results... Pheeew.

Just submitted a race that was faster than my 'board splits' lap, but not by much.

Thank god you managed to catch on to the extrat hour.

Neil

Darren and Neil, there's only .231 between your times... But you will only know in 15 minutes who's ahead :mischievous:

P.S. : I'm aware that I'm likely to be repped down for that teaser, but ok, I just couln't help. :)

Of course it is.
You can disapprove someone, and that removes points from his rep score. When someone goes below the cut-off score, he loses his badge.
Don't think it ever happened though.
