Yes i am running xp the home edition. I think the drive is not being recognized. I dont know. There not open on sunday so i will call tommorow. If you have any suggestions i will try them. thank you for the help.

I know it sounds obvious but does your USB port work? Because if you're running XP I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't work. If you have the opportunity, try it on a different computer. The Maxdrive just works like any other USB key/Pen Drive, etc. You plug it in, and the computer goes 'Blup-Blu-Blup', and a little 'New Hardware detected' sign pops in in the bottom right.

Unless you're on a user account where the administrator has disabled installiation of hardware, or use of USB ports (Such as my school)?

Anyone Canadian here who got and ex/max/sharkport know how much they are and where to get them. I know we are supposed to keep port talk to a minimum here but it just seemed easier, and i like easy things.

Im telling you T2 in the supra is so challenging.

Tryed the 300ZX lets jest say its alot faster than the 99 skyline V-spec N1 . Over 200mph on the straight. Here are the new splits.

My times on the board currently are dont in the N1 which i find much easier to drive than any of the cars right now, including the ZX and supra. If you need seetings for it ill be happy to help, i think i got it down pat pretty much.

I'm just trying to avoid there being five cars that are capable of 800hp+ making the rest of field uncompetitive. I dunno, I want to expand the field of cars that can be competitive by limiting the maximum power of a few that have extremely high outputs. Perhaps we could simply allow everything except for Stage 4/original turbos?

I just think that by opening the floodgates as far as power upgrades are concerned. We are limiting the number of cars that can keep the pace of those select few.

I have yet to find any 800 hp / 6 cylinder cars in the used car lot. Maybe I should look for the turbo powered cars.

It seems to me that it might be more important to look for the car with the best power / weight ratio. 💡

i hit my goal time, and its clean... but hopefully i can find time monday to find the time i'm leaving on the track. I've seen 21.2/41.6 before... then understeered into the wall before the tunnel >:E

no, its called a product monopoly. It's the only easily available tool to get data from the ps2 to the pc. Welcome to niche market marketing.
Its an overpriced, under-developed rip-off... but its worth it since its the only thing that does what it does.
(the dex-drive for the psx was soo much nicer, and 1/2 the price)

Had a spare hour tonight so gave this a quick go. 👍 Using a Supra RZ '97, loaded with everything available except NOS, and 23K on the ODO. I tried the stage 5 turbo, but didn't like it. Too much torque=push. So I ended up with the 859 HP version.

Since it looks like these splits are near the top of the board, here is my setup for any interested.

I dunno, I'd hate to think that I'd have to use another car with 1 day left. But maybe I'll spend a few hours tomorrow and see what the Supra is all about. But I'll probably end up driving it into the walls constantly considering that I'm use to the lightweight of this group, the TVR Cerbera.

And more weight & 300 more HP & all the stuff that goes along with that combination, it might take me a while to break 41.5/42.

My DS2 has died. I don't have another at the moment, and probably won't before the end of the week. Today I managed to find my old PS1 controller and I'm using that.

So no pressure sensitive buttons for me this week (Which wouldn't be so bad, if the car didn't have 800hp+)

Oh and the top buttons don't work. So I have to use auto too. I've remapped the change-up and change-down buttons to Circle and Triangle respectively so I can try to hold it in gear sometimes.

Problem is there is very little chat about the actual race. Most posts are just split times, apart from the odd maybe 3 people who post set-ups.

Anyway. The cripple has new split times.

It's crippling for me. Not only can I not regulate power, braking, or lock. On mine I can't even change gears!

the no shoulder buttons is kind of a pain, but if its a DS1 you've still got the analogue sticks... thats all you really need.

if its an actual "playstation controler" and you have to use the 4-Way Direction arrows... eesh, you're screwed.

Sigh...this is why I don't like GT mode weeks. My 300ZX lap is WAAAAAAAAAY better than my Supra lap but I just beat my 300ZX lap by a second:

T1: 0`21.011
T2: 0`41.505

And those splits are crap compared to what I saw, there's at least another 0.5 out there if I nail it as sweetly as I did with the 300ZX.

I hate tuning.

Chill out man, this is the way of things.

The track isn't difficult, cars are fairly straight-forward (thanks to Cyril for posting the complete car list), there are no AI to fight past.............apart from the odd settings (thanks guys:tup: ) post and splits, what else relevent to the combo needs to be discussed?

No problem mate. 👍 I hope the setup works for you. I didn't spend much time on it at all, but was able to muck my way through for a halfway decent lap. BTW, a little brake tap before entering will pull you through the esses quite nicely with this setup.
But anyway it's good to do a WRS event again.

I'm looking for the papers where I had that lap there... PS2 is now out of reach, and the deadline is sometime today... Will I miss out the week where I landed 3rd-in-splits for my Division, and was faster than, say, Cyril? Disaster.
