I believe the Supra will yield the fastest times, that being said I might give it a go with it. I just love the sound of the GTR.

Renault is a french company, so yeah, the Renault F1 is a french car. Your point about drivers' nationalities is just irrelevant : the fact that you're driving a Cordoba (even a Turbo V8 one) doesn't make Seat an australian maker. And perhaps people in Oxfordshire are cheaper than in France. :D

I was trying to make the point that it's kinda hard to restrict a Formula 1 team to 1 country, because there is so much diversity, nothing now is ever done in 1 country.

Bugatti cars have been made on french ground since 1909. The brand belongs to VW since 1998. If that makes it german, then so are Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Seat, Skoda, Chrysler... and Aston Martin, Volvo, Mazda are then american. :mischievous:

Is the Veyron made in France? The point is I don't think the Veyron is even designed in France, it doesn't contain any French parts as far as I'm aware of, it's just pumped full of VW and Audi parts and slapped a Bugatti badge on it. I consider my Seat (It's still a V8 Turbo, yet to be washed), German.

Man alive, that Datel's Maxdrive is the biggest piece of crap on the planet. I Rocko and I just got it and the thing wont work on any of our PCs(3) and Is already falling apart. Gave my laptop a virus and froze all three PCs multiple times.....Im sorry but if the Maxdrive is that big of a hassle, id rather get DQed every week than deal with risking my PC's life. IS there another company that makes them maybe?
 
Just brought my Supra, is an absolute muscle building excersise with the wheel around the track drifting and counter steering all the way!!

Splits so far...

I get the max drive windo open and the directions say to drag and drop the save into the drive but the drive is not there to drop in to.I am going to call them tommorow.

What version of Windows are you using?

I'm assuming you're using Windows, if you're using Mac or Linux then I have no idea. If you're using any MS-DOS based Windows (ie, you're living in the stone age with 98 or even 95, or someone managed to get ME on your computer.), then you'll need to install drivers because it won't recognize it as a plug and play dodad (If you're on any NT architecture apart from XP, ie, Windows 2000, Windows Server Edition, then I also have no idea)

I've got XP pro, and just built my new rig, just plugged in my Maxdrive and it comes up as a removable disk. Which it should on yours too.
 
Yes Casio is correct. For transferring GT4 replays, you do not need to use the software that came with the MaxDrive. You only need to use it as a removable disk, or USB memory stick as they are more commonly known.
 
got a minor health issue here so we are delayed in our trip to france.
which means the old ps2 was turned back on.
altho i submitted friday i guess cyril might allow a second one this time.
or then again - maybe not: my t2 is .006 faster than his ...

But improving a time is always good...

Yours is half a second faster... Then I have to find out yours to know where I'm standing...
 
have reduced the power of my car so that on the replay screen it appears as 849hp or less, and in the settings screen it shows 843hp... i think that should be enough power... ;)

this way i stay under the 859hp for my car (coz i am too lazy to go and wait for the car to appear in the used car yard)

Yes i am running xp the home edition. I think the drive is not being recognized. I dont know. There not open on sunday so i will call tommorow. If you have any suggestions i will try them. thank you for the help.
 
I' having some trouble getting the kind of turn in with the RZ that I expected from a RWD car. With the supra my T times are 21.3xx and 42.3xx so basically im losing a lot of time in T2.

Here are my settings:

Does the weight balance "add" weight to the car to the front/rear when the balance is offset or is the wieght just trasnfered to the front/rear?
Any help would be great.

p.s.s. I'm using DS2 saving up for a nice new upcoming killer wheel from logitech for GTR2 :D. BTW, those are some damn fast T times from the top guys, makes me wonder how many ppl are waiting to post their times, you're all a very mischievous lot now aren't you.

which revealed a T1 21.064 but again lots of time lost in T2 due to massive wheel spin, and ahem..... bad driving etc etc, i need some mechanical grip. Then again I'm dealing with a 859hp street car, sigh.

Check the settings link i posted above, but change the tcs to 1 instead of 4, then there will be no wheel spin at the hairpin, unless your extremly trigger happy. Also, 859hp is with the stage 4 turbo, go to the tuner villiage and pick up a stage 5 turbo with less hp but more torque, it cuts times down a treat.

In answer to your prevous questions, you need 100 (i think) posts for a custom avatar, and 500 i beleive for a custom user title. The weight balance only adjusts the ballast weight distribution, and not the cars. 👍

I tried the TCS setting and it turns out I'm much slower, I guess i have to moderate throtle as best I can. Interesting point about the Stage 5 I will give it a try once I reach the maximum with this one.

Tryed the 300ZX lets jest say its alot faster than the 99 skyline V-spec N1 :D . Over 200mph on the straight. Here are the new splits.

T1-21.860
T2-43.357
 
If you're running the Supra Colby. I'll have to too. Although, at the moment my controller has died (It randomly cuts in and out and rumbles all the time....), so I don't know what to do!
