I also have the 91 N1, and it is not set at the same ratings as Rob's... But anyway, no one has mentioned torque yet, the newer cars have more torque. But the older cars are lighter, but the newer cars ... :indiff: :) fun stuff

I think that would be considered over the limit. 500.000000001 is still more than 500 which is the limit.

Damn...I guess I'll run lower hp knowing that I won't get disqualified rather than the opposite. :(

Weird... The replay shows the lowest HP rating as far as I know... Have you done an oil change yet? Maybe you're planning on not doing so... Who knows...

TheWizard knows:

TheWizard
The power value shown on the Replay screen is the amount of power the vehicle would have once the engine has experienced the maximum power drop due to mileage (which happens to occur at 8500 miles, while the power drop process itself starts at 650 miles), with clean oil.

I'd suspect ROB256 didn't get a 6.2 mile N1 from the used lot, and his mileage is well above 8500. An oil change should get him back to 500HP, according to TheWizard's thread...

Well, when I just watched my replay, it said I had 499 hp, and my car is a used car(1999 N1), fresh oil change...

New times, this time I did NOT use the VCD or the Limited slip stuff, and went much faster on my second lap :indiff:
T1 31.807
T2 59.809

Off to work(real work, not lap work) with me!

yeah ... mines a high miler ... ~56K or something. done an oil change though. there's definately something strange going on with all these hp, bhp and ps values. it's confused the hell outta me!

ok i've got another n1 that shows 500hp in the settings graph, but 501hp in the replay!?! i'm assuming from CFM's rules that this is ok?

I'm not in the WRS yet (sent my qualifier tonight), but I thought I'd give this a crack anyway.

Got a GTS-t Type M '89. I decided on this provisionally because it's relatively light (1071kg after the stage 3 weight reduction), it's rear wheel drive (so it's FUN to drive) and lastly because I prefer the R32s. What I didn't realise when I bought it is that it's not as upgradeable as some of the others (I believe it doesn't have a turbo as standard, so you can't fit the Stage 4), even fully modified it's only got about 440 brake. Anyway, that's not a huge problem considering the weight.

So far the best couple of sectors I've done are:

T1 31.828
T2 1:00.302

Big room for improvement obviously, but since I don't generally use the Skylines I'm getting my practice in. Anyway, off to bed, exam in the morning :(

Good luck :)

Trying the same car amp. It is light. Ran T2 1:00.541

Also trying the 89 GT-R (R32). It's sitting at 1215kg after the mods and 498hp.

I only have tonight to run, so I'll be making a choice fairly soon and taking what I can get.

Later,
Dak

@ DAAN

Hope you are using that thumbnail only as an example.

That particular skyline ( Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec LM Limited'96 (road going version)) is a prize car!
*edit*
I think,
there's a '95 one in the prize car list, but with name changes etc between PAL & NTSC/Japanese versions not sure
*edit*
Only pointing it out so you don't waste any time in it.
Neil

Thanks daan for posting that pic.👍

As long as you have the units set to HP in the options menu, and the graph shows 500 HP or less like in daan's picture, then you are OK.

New T's for me!

T1 31.951

T2 1,00.888

Still finding time every lap!

Same here, man. The new ones don't turn and the old light ones are all over the place.

Don't ya just HATE it when one of the d1 fast-un's complains about the car being a pile of crap,

and then,

in the same post puts up faster times than you just have!

Ya don't have to bouy up your ego's by complaining about the car, and then completely OBLITERATING most of our times at the end of the week.

We Know you are fast, in most of the cases very fast compared to us.

Don't rub it in

Neil

think i'm gonna join Vexd in being vexd! lol

I've managed to find a nice compromise bewteen Tank like 04 Skylines & Banana Skin 89's with the '96 GT V LM in Blue! Although i'm not sure where i am going wrong, T2'ing at about 1.03 :(

I guess i've had an Unfortunate week this week! I hate that course & i REALLY dislike driving skylines! lol Ah well, its all variety and its all good :)

I see a lot of potential cheating from this race but i think CFM is up to it. This is just what DLR ordered. I hope everyone has the right morals and keeps this competition clean. You have our word that DLR WILL NOT be cheating in any kind of way. Prereviously me and my cousin have challenged eachother in a skyline based competition just like this and hopefully that experince paid off.

I bought the Purple and got it to 500hp deadon ... GOT to have Purple! But the damned thing turns like a bloody battleship and brakes just as 'quickly' ... I'm really not sure I can use this thing!

Mind you, my bloody racing line is AWFUL at the moment.

What's everyone's setups to make this fat pig tolerable on this track?

So far: T1 - 32.080 & T2 - 1'02.XXX

*Wished it was an NSX-R instead* :guilty:

I haven't even STARTED to tune this thing yet; it typically works better for me to get as fast as I can untuned and then start tinkering a little.

I think i have mine nice & tuned, but as with all AWD's one bit too much on the corner and your sliding out sideways hitting start>right>x>x in record time! lol Still, i'm cutting down time every 2 or so laps, hopeing to have a half way commendable race down in the end, just 3 or so corners are giving me a lot of trouble :(

Mine was just bull-tuned, suspension/LSD/gear ratio-wise. :indiff:

I still can't find a clear cut racing lines and braking points yet, but taking 2 secs off in T2 was a good start.

T1: 32.183
T2: 1'00.761

After about an hour of laps I've got:

30.824
58.737

Using the white one with the black hood and 498 hp 👍.

If you saved the replay of you best lap you can see the T-times by viewing the replay in replay theater 👍.
