Well, my last WRS was week 40 something... :(

Finally tinkered with my laser, its working for the moment...

I'm shockingly bad at GT4 after that much time away from it though! :(

EDIT: I'm PAL and can only get 864kg with -10%...

Oops, there was a typo my T1 is 25.237, T2 is correct.

are u using medium/medium or any other setup?

Yep, RM/RM, 230 gearing. No special tricks, all over the curbs, very close to 3 wheels off the track.
Unfortunately the finish wasn't so good. I think I lost about .3 from T2 to finish compared to some other runs.

oh ok. i think i have to swallow the hate for this car and keep on trying;) good driving mate:tup:

I tried this last nite and I have to say that I have never driven a FWD car with
so much oversteer before:scared:. Anyways here are my T's.

T1-25:545
T2-59:448

I think there is more time in it, But it's going to be hard to get it.

Edit:
Also I'm using a DFP.(in my sig)

First 30 min so far and man what a combo, its like the best of both world's Cyril; Rally on pavement, everyone's happy :D

Top Speed 220 R3's all around No TCS, I may try tcs but it prolly wont be as much fun:

T1 - :25.325
T2 - :58.870

LB Updated :)

230 is the trick. 👍

25.416
59.103

DFP

going to try 220 now..

Well I tried 230 gears like everyone else, and now see it is indeed faster.

TCS/ASM = OFF
Driving Force PRO
Division Two

T1 25.580
T2 59.087

That's one of the more goofy splits I've seen, it's obvious I'm terrible on T1, and fairly quick from T1-T2. I just hope my T2-Finish time is decent!

On T1, are you guys flying over the rumble strips (and barely keeping two wheels touching) to cut down distance? I tried this, but the suspension seems too stiff, and just upsets the car too much. I'm barely touching the outside of each rumble strip and keeping a nice flowing smooth line, and some decent speed, but I'm wonding if jumping the curbs is faster....

Well I am division 3 and that is how i got a good T1 time.

DAN:) sorry,, not clear. doin' jumpy thing

New times...

T1 - 25.772 (-.178)
T2 - 59.524 (-.502)

Seem to be loosing too much time before T1, happy with the rest of the lap though. Possibly another .2/.3 left in it for me.

Well I may try 230 again and perhaps 240. I tried some with TCS but it feels wrong, takes the fun out of it, no challenge to control the wheelspin on a ds2 :sly: which is needed on; almost all rumble strips (I HIGHLY recommend staying off all rumble strips except in the choppy chicanes in T1) and needed after exiting turn 1 (if your car has lots rear momentum it will loose grip while exiting I've found) and sometimes tries to swing wide into the left strip. I also found throttle control is needed for the downhill hairpin after T1, just as the car peaks on the little hill it tends to spin and I haven't decided to either shift into 5th or give it 90% throttle as both seem to be about the same, also throttle contol is key on 2 other turns; the sweeping left after the T1 hairpin I usually need to give it 80% throttle here too and finally the double rights after T2, mainly the later of the two the car likes to get up on all 4's easily but doesnt always help to maintain speed, but its really fun! 👍 Just some random tips here I guess, I'm sure Dan will give his great walkthrough if requested. This was just fun...oh and I couldn't seem to beat my time I got in 30 min, in the following hour, ggrrr....lol.

25.468/59.337 and a decent finish :sly:

Nice times guys, again a very tight competition :)

getting a little bit quicker now, but still i find myself at places in the track i don't want to be :nervous: and still on 220-at-tcs i'm afraid.

26.395 - 1.00.976

GREAT to have such a big div3 grid this week - thanks for that a lot friends 👍 👍 👍

Board Updated
i see the stewards have arranged for some luxy-aid. great you're helping out michael!

Got to sit down at the PS2 for a bit...

T1 25.806 (Managed as low as 25.3 so far.)
T2 59.657 (Personal best T2. 👍)

Not sure if my finish was as good as it could be but there's plenty of time till the deadline. Using RM's all round and 230 gearing, no aids either. I tried TCS but it cost me a second or two per lap even with my arthritic thumb operated DS2 traction control. :D

Need to sort out some RL car problems before getting back to this now though. :grumpy:

Darren.

ok i will give the race a few hours now:) finaly foind some time.. cheers

hmm! i realy dont like this one:(

some new splits

T1 25,242
T2 59,440

but on oter hand this is after 20min of driving! but i lost interest of both car and track after 5 laps:(

15 laps in:

T1: 0'25.687
T2: 0'58.971

230 gearing, using 3rd for the hairpins (turn 1 and turn 5? after T1) and 4th for the 270 turn.

The easiest way I've found to get a decent time is to brake, turn-in to get the back sliding then wait, almost coasting while sliding until the front-end is pointing to the exit, then accelerate. I feel sorry for the ds2 users this week because I've found I get good traction with about 90% throttle initially, before going 100%.

Hey sjaak, I have been trying to best my current splits but to no avail... I just hope I can keep you off my bumper! :sly:

Smokin fast lap for revelli... his Qualifier lap puts him 40th in D2 but he's just as fast as Dan this week? I guess he's the master at FF. Good racing, dude! 👍

yeah, seeing our splits we are racing with a "front bumper difference" at the moment.👍

Oh god!!

First i want to say hi and im realy liking it here on gtplanet. This is my second race and its kind of rusty for being new, So i really have to apologize to all for not reading the rules for this week race enough. I talked to my friend SimVision that i just recived a PM about my splits. So he ran me down on my settings and he asked about HP, Then it striked me that i was running +20% on Hp as i was used to in week 87 race. So im so sorry people, Im at it again and will get u some real time splits next time...

Hey guys this is my first race, I sent in my qualifier race to MisterWeary, haven't heard from him for 48 hrs (PMed him on xmas, just being patient and all, seeing how it was xmas), dont like to brag but I could end up in Div2.

So anyways I just let myself in this thread while I am waiting and tried this week's race, after 3 sessions (A,B,C) I learned alot about this track, the part I hate most is the rumble strips with the leaves on it after the T2 they tend to throw me wide in the turns, and

the best apporach I think to T1 is going low as you can go in the turn before the T1, so that ur body is centraly above the inside rumble strip or have ur two right(inside) wheels on the rumble strip that way you have a faster exit/approach to T1, course that means giving up some speed and rolling right before so you can go deep in the turn.

Alright enough backseat driving :indiff:
Here's what I got:
T1-0'25.639
T2-0'59.983
L3-X'XX.XXX :sly:
Lap 11 Session C

DS2/NSTC
RMs - TCS only :embarrassed: - Auto :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :dunce: - 220km/h
I did my session A with TCS and ASM but in session C turned off ASM so I got to go faster in the turns (no lagging), and how in the world are you guys getting 0'58s :bowdown: its incomprihensible, anyways I guess I'll have a go at more sessions,
and be a man about it(manual/no-aids) :ouch: :P.

I'm running with no tcs this time :)

25.040 / 58.166 👍

seen a few 24.7's and .8's :ouch: but thats my best T2 ... still another .2 for me to get my ideal time then I'm happy :dopey:
