Looks like i won't be submitting any time this week. Working 8 days straight and never felt like playing GT4... Did do 1 hour earlier in the week but no lap was clean and judging by the leaderboard, i'd only be mid-low D2 with a high 16.x T3.

Oh well i'll just keep convincing myself that rally just isin't my thing :)

hOt6o4bOi
(0'16.624 my fastest t1 so far )
bahhh didnt save the replay nm...

thats fast but i'm faster :sly:
best t1 is 16.568

i had one last go to see if i could extract anymore time out of it and i did, but only .069 secs.

T1 17.03x (lost .25 at the start cos i only hit the start line at 135km/h)
T2 43.03x
T3 1'13.281

and i finished better obviously. i had a T3 of 1'12.920 once but couldnt quite hold on to it in the last corner, i clipped a wall, nuts! that would have been the ultimate lap. time submitted. i will give some tips now:

use 310km/h top speed
stay close as posible to the walls in T1 to maximise corner speed, drift the car around the long right hander just b4 T1, full throttle.

aproach the next left in gear 4 (no need to go higher than this gear throuout the lap) start turning in full lock just when the fencing on the right ends, brake down to second when u hit the inside apex, hit third and accelerate out as soon as u can.

veer out as wide as possible for the next left and start turning in at the kink in the grass, tap the brakes soon after to drop speed down to 180km/h and take the corner full throttle, trying to get as far to the left as possible.

start turning in to the transition corner early, then when u approach the inside apex, brake down to 160km/h to take the corner.

go over the bump, trying to hold on to it as best u can, and induce a drift at the fast left, hugging the inside wall, should take that corner at 160km/h

brake really early for the next right, down to 70km/h, making sure u hug the inside wall in preperation for the next left (its important to think ahead in this combo, car position is important) hug the walls closely as u flick the car from side to side, making sure u dont get out of shape for the upcoming IMPORTANT hairpin corner.

brake down to 2nd sooner than u think, and u can only take this corner safely at 40km/h so dont push the car to much, aim to miss the left wall by inches in order to get the best angle in for the hairpin right which leads to T3, try and stay as close to the wall as possible and use half throttle for this corner or else u'll loose traction and drift out wide

okay, T3, position the car as far right as possible and turn in at the kink in the apex on the right, braking down to second as u glide inches from the left wall.

induce a slide, and tap the throttle to keep it at the appropriate angle, accelerate out and into third as u approach the fast right, take it with full throttle (125km/h) and change to fourth as u jump over the bumps, first bump, hop to the left (i know its strange) and start veeiring to the right as u approach the last corner, cos ur gonna need to flick the car around the fast left- turn in earlier than u think and take it at 130km/h, trying to keep the car in good shape for the last corner, hopefully u'll cross the finish line b4 u crash into the wall on the left

remember, 310km/h is the best setting by far, and only use gears two three and four, the more gears u change, the slower u r. any questions just ask

Are you from Earth?

:grumpy:

I got a better time, Luxy, we are still on for the bottom of the div, yeah?

I dont have the exact splits, and i reckon im not going to bother getting any faster, even though i know i could, and i know my T3-finish was crap, all i remember was:

T3: 1'15.3something and that was enough for me.

I went as fast as i could and then i stopped trying after this lap and havent touched it since.

My pointers are:

I used 220KPH and noticed me pulling mega distance out of my ghost straightaway in terms of straightline speed.

Using Holl's suggestion of Top Top speed setting will give you a faster car, with less gear changes required, that DOESNT KEEP AS TIGHT. So provided you can drive drift, you will improve.

However, if you are hopeless sideways, then perhaps it isnt for you.

I wouldnt suggest NOT trying it though, hell if he saw a 1'12 T3, then he's alien.
( ;) )

My last pointer is this:

The s section before T3 is the killer. There is only one way you can get round this without losing 3 or 4 seconds everytime.
Do a good T1 and T2, which shouldnt take too long to master, then as you come over the hills towards the very tight left into the S section, SLOW DOWN.
Its simple.
If you enter very slowly, keep it tight, and try to push without sliding the car too much, you will instantly see by keeping to the inside walls thru the left and the right, that you are quicker, which will inspire you straightaway.

There's nothing worse than doing a good fast lap, then crossing T3 and seeing 1'17.7 when you know Holl has hit a 1'12. (thats unnatural btw Holl) So, try my madness and go slower thru there. Its the only way.

Last thing i want to add.....

I would like Californians Favour Missionary to make it compusory for any replay posters using a DFP to change the steering display in their race options to ON before they submit a replay into the thread.

I for one would love to see the amount of steering input required to do a 1'12 T3!!

Please make it happen Cherry Flavoured Mates. (UK nationality req'd for this pun)

:grumpy: 👍

I wish I could press you harder TeamLosi, but I've learned this week that Rallying is something that completely escapes me ... try as I might, I can't seem to figure out how I can run faster! Nothing but a well acknowledged nod of the head from this side of the track :P

thats just how i felt with the bently last week chick!
just stick it out and put some kind of time in. i think it shows more guts to put in a time you've worked hard to achieve than to not put anything in. i HATED the bently and le sarthe with a passion, and only just submitted a lap in time. it was the ONLY clean lap i did. but i felt good for having done something. you can do it too. *opens arms for a girl only hug!*

ok....walls..not good...accent banged up, tyres all broken! time for a pit stop to re-asses this :P You couldn't have given us a 4WD could you CFM? :P you still coulda made a witty name!!! :)

T1 16.800
T2 43.104
T3 1'13.767

I got this yesterday and have spent my last two sessions trying to beat the damn thing with no joy so far. :( Best T1 so far was a 16.532 from a session some days ago, but now that I'm on a new top speed setting of 240 I doubt I'll see that time again (fast start, slow finish).

Anyway, I'll plod on and try for a bit more, if I'm lucky :)

T1: 17.214
T2: 44.056
T3: 1.16.847

And yes, .....I know I suck......Can not tell you how many laps I had to throw away....some even on the final stretch over the 2 jumps, ''touching'' the bleeeding invisible walls...
overall a very frustrating week..........

Finally got some runs in after someone stole my Rallye Car. 5 days missing. I have good T1's & T2's, but the section before T3 is killing me. I'll try what holl01 and vexd were talking about and see if that will help.

T1 0:17.871 <------------got 17.4
T2 0:45.913
T3 1:19.055 <------------I hate this section :yuck:

Thanks Ex ... yes, I'll definitively be submitting, no worries there. I also managed a 1'16.1xx T3, and - I think - a half decent finish, so it'll not be a bad time.

Now, enough of this sliding tosh ... give me some asphalt!

well then you'll have left me standing. submitted my time already so no chance of catching you now. and here i was hoping for a good finish this week :ouch:

well done girl. you go get that premotion! :)

Uh ... nothing etched in stone yet, chicky ... still +/- a full second to be lost or gained after T3 and it was never my strongest point ;) I would not be surprised to see you ahead of me, that's for sure ... and you damn well deserve it!

As for the promotion ... well, to be honest, I was hoping *NOT* to get a podium this week; I think I'd rather be promoted after I put in a performance like last week, rather than the anti-climatic boring combo from this week (imho).

Ive ried beating my time but i did not have any fun trying to do it. So im stopping. I plan to send in the time soon. The only thing that has me nerveous is on one of the straits I come very close to a wall, I still helive that the lap is 100% clean with no wall touching so ill send it in. I will be picking up a max drive. GREAT RACING EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. i tried both 370 and 220 and did not like either. my peronal top speed was 200

Guys/Gals,
I said I was going to run one more session tonight but if I do I will be letting certain drivers down in other OLR comitments that I'm supposed to part off, they've already given me an extra days grace :guilty: , so it's time to call it a day on this one and make good my comitment to them.

As I said at the start of the week, this is my last WRS for some time. I just don't enjoy it as much as I used to, even though I do appear to be getting closer to my old GT3 level but trying to be faster isn't the only reason why I'm here, I can try to do that anywhere.

I'm sure you will continue to have lots of fun and I wish that many podiums come your way in the future.

Remember, posts/sigs free from vanity together with a little more modesty will get you everywhere. Enjoy. :)

Well, I am begining to like this combo as I get faster... it finally feels like it has a flow to it. My T3's are terrible but oh well.....

WOW! you guys are "Flyin'" Guess I did TOO much GT3 Rallye & have NOT done enough GT4 style! The new physics still seem a little "Strange" & with my aged & decrepit reflexes this Accent is a "Handfull" :scared:

Best after two short sessions, I'll try to get in one more before the deadline:
T-1 = 18.021
T-2 = 45.775
T-3 = 1'17.885

Good Luck ALL! 👍 ...O.G. :D

Time submitted :D

Sorry to hear that sphinx. :(

The rest of you... Good luck and god speed. :mischievous:

Also, just to let you all know what is in-store for the results...
My final lap T3: 1'23.0 :mischievous:

t1 - 0'16.891
t2 - 0'43.201
t3 - 1'13.924

really slow last sector... wut a shame

got 2 laps that are .3 faster both with t3's of 1'14.27x
but 2 times in a row i didnt save the replays.... pathetic on my part lol :dunce:

I see you're shooting for a podium then ;). Maybe I should submit my lap with a 1'25 t3

T1 0'17.541
T2 0'44.741
T3 1'17.104

DS2

420km max speed... I think the tall gears helped me keep traction under full throttle.

Unfortunately, I got my fastest lap pretty early on and spent most of my time trying to top it. Fastest was around lap 50 out of 150.

Did you put in 15 laps last week when you pipped me to the post? :yuck: :ill: :indiff: :guilty: :scared: :ouch:
Let's see...a 45 minute session at 10PM Monday nite, divided by 3 minutes per Lap, less a couple of "Reviews" to make sure they were "Clean"...more like 10-12. Running "Endless Laps" doesn't work for me. Once I run two-three slower laps in a row I quit & submit...O.G. :D

 Sure didn't take you long to get a smokin' lap Bob ;)
Looks as if the Old Geezer has gotten younger by a few years :D

Well bugger ... I think I put in ... hmm, lesee ...

2 hours each night, about 6 hours on Saturday, a further 3 or 4 on the Sunday, an hour before deadline to try and squeeze out an extra .5 or something miraculous ... divided by 3 minutes a lap and a gazillion shorter restarts ... I'd say I ran 400 laps?

*cough*

*shuffles into another room where, some time later, the short rapport of a small firearm is heard*

Well, I must admit that CONFIRMED news of Le Sarthe actually being in GT4 kept me "In the Game." I was so disappointed with SONY/PD :indiff: & their endless delays that I was ready to list all my GT stuff (Cockpit included) on E-bay! :guilty: I've been a "Fan" of the 24 hour races for many years & still have about 20 1/43 scale models representing Winners form the mid-60s to the mid-80s.
As soon as the tracks were "Open" that's all I ran for about a week! So last week was just kind of a "Refresher." Even so...the REAL "Fast Guys" were "Smokin'" at Le Mans! ...O.G. :D
