Ran this a bit this morning ... it's fun, but I'm feeling slow ... have to be so careful not to touch anything. And I haven't a clue what I'm doing in the last sector :dunce: I think building up rallying skills will be a long-term goal ... yeah, that's it ;)

Ill try some laps tonight. Ive been at work all day and then after that i went out to the lake for a little bit of fishing :)

Man everyone is very fast Ill be lucky this week to pull off another top ten in div 3!

You're currently WINNING div 3, or do my eyes deceive me? You plan on dropping 10 positions in the next 48 hrs?

If you're struggling to be in the top ten, I'm going to struggle to be in the top twenty.

I have found out this week, without a doubt, that I am *NOT* a rallier. Put me back on terra firma anyday, thank you very much. As much as I enjoy rallying, I am just pewp at it :(

Let's hope that this week isn't my worst week ever.

You have no idea where I'm coming ... and it is *NOT* at the top of the pack :P And, try as I might, I just can't seem to get any faster ... nothing I do is improving my lot at all. Ah well, at least I've learned something about my capabilities on the gravelly stuff.

This is the worst thing you can say.

Think about it... if this week, where you feel bad about your performance, is your worst week then every week after will be better.

However, if your worst week is still ahead then, well, you will have a week worse than this.

:sly:

I will be back once I have some news but the bottom line is, I suck.

Wow, never quite had it put into perspective like that... sorta makes me feel better about myself with how my weeks going.

I've yet to do a clean lap. :scared: I keep braking to late at the first bridge and end up getting caught up on the pole. So even if I could count it as a lap, the time is still slow since I took 5-10 seconds getting off the wall and back up to speed. I'm just happy we aren't using the Escudo(Finally won it, used the new Evo Rally Car! 👍 ). It's tamer than GT3, but still a beast to handle.

For kenny and MR8, if you guys can beat this, go right ahead. Was going out of my mind before I put this down, and it's as clean and as fast as I'm gonna get...

T1 - 0:17.240
T2 - 0:43.803
T3 - 1:15.108

Well, it's all up to Kenny now. I've given up on this week's race since Friday. Now I'm just wasting time running the weeks I've missed. :dunce:

Oh, BTW, great T2-T3. 👍 It will probably come down to who has the faster T4, again. Just like last week. ;)

You have a point!

I'd duck out of rally combinations in the future, but it's not in my nature to quit ... I'd rather embarass myself by illustrating my stunning grasp of how not to drive a rally car.

Probably gonna submit it as I beat my old time by a full second and then some. As for hitting those slanted walls, I had been doing that too kenny, just not on this lap. My interpretation would be that its good to ride up on them just as long as you dont bump off of the invisible wall thats at the top of the mound. Good luck guys, hope you get a clean one that beats that, don't try too hard though ;)

Oh man, I don't know if I can top that! Amazing time! 👍

I took off a bunch myself though, even though T1 was ghastly

T1 - 17.692
T2 - 45.165
T3 - 1'15.569

I think it's all about throttle response, more than any other week. You absolutely have to PERFECTLY use the gas in order to achieve the desired line. Try using 1/2 power momentarily when you predict you are going wide or loose...It's also pertinent to know when the car is under your control and not, you gotta be able to drift the car with confidence. Hope that helps.

Well, I finally just relaxed and tried getting clean laps. I went down to 17 sec T1's and dropped about 4-6 seconds off my finish time. Let's just say that I had a 17.199 T1. Unfortunately, T2 and 3 didn't fare me so well....

I haven't driven in the past 4 days (good grief has it really been that long. work is something else this week) but I started using the brake in the corners. I'm actually better at controlling it this way. Now if I can use more gas in the corners as well to cut some time out.

okay, i just bet my time by .610 seconds using top speed of 310 km/h, i will submit this time definitely, i absolutely fluked this lap, i cant believe i did it, heres the splits

16.817
42.874
1'13.235

its probably the best lap of gt i've ever done, ever.
c ya later

Wow, some of you guys are putting up spectacular times, awsome driving!

Well I wish I could say the same for myself but its not going to happen. I am having trouble with my line, where to brake, acelerate, and lastly where the walls are. Oh well its still fun.

Here are my new splits
T1 18.285
T2 45.193
T3 1'18.598

Hopefully with these I will not be last in D2 anymore.

I'm Sorry, but I must to quit this Race without a big improvement
unfortunately my arm make problems again :indiff:

Thats my result :
T1: 0.16.956
T2: 0.43.489
T3: 1.14.645
-----------------
T4: 1.XX.XXX

Good Luck to all

Girl, that's freaking AWESOME! Carry on like that and you'll be looking at a podium position!

Seriously ... could you possibly give me any advice, because I am just not 'getting it' and this whole track is leaving me utterly cold (it did when I drove it in a mini, too ... something technical about it that I'm just not figuring out!).

mmm not sure what to tell you honey. its a bonus for me to get a compliment like that from you!!

all i can say is read the write up by vexd. thats where i started. of course i do have the extra bonus of watching how he does it too, but his instructions are the place i started.

i just had to persevere and learn how much slide was in the car at certain speeds and try and relate that to the tightness of the corner. am using the top speed of 220mph. again at the instruction of vexd. i know thats not the same for everyone, so opinions must vary.

sorry i cant be more help. i just find it easier to sling a car into a bend on dirt than worry bout a race line as much as you have to on asphalt i guess??!! :dunce:

kennythebomb
haha - never took either class, just graduated from Niles West High School

check out what's coming my way

jeeesss kenny that doesnt look good. how will your car drive on dirt and in all that rain??

guess when you read this you could be wearing wellingtons and up to your knees in water?

lets hope it slows your racing time alittle just so some of us stand the chance of catching you!!! :sly:

I didn´t even tryed this on these last 3 or 4 days LOL, im seeing people are geting catch. I was working mainly on a lap at nurburgring, outside WRS, so i will practice a little tomorrow in the last day, and see if i can step a 1"13 or 1"14 on T3. Let´s see. :D

Whew! just got some fresh splits in:

T1: 0:17.093
T2: 0:43.675
T3: 1:15.455

I am happy with these times, I improved in every sector. There may still be a couple of tenths to be gained. T1 for instance can be faster, over the past few days ive been able to get T1's in the 0:16.755 range but on those laps I made a mistake elsewhere.

Well if you improve those first two sectors then you'll definitely have me. That's incredible how you made up that much time in T3!! I couldn't imagine hitting 1:15's after only getting 45 in T2. Keep at it!!

I'm incredulous ... you're turning the screws like I did last week ... it's revenge, isn't it? :P Stunning splits ... extremely well done!

Thanks Kolyana! I just dont want to get complacent with my times. I know I can do better! I am looking forward to the updated leader board!

There is a great race brewing in Div 2

but the reason why Im not too satisfied with my time is that there are alot of people who have not posted sectors (which does not bother me at all, Posting times are always optional). Plus Solarac, Exelero, Standard, and any one in div 3 is quite capable of blowing my times away!

Personally, i'm not actually running this week, for a number of reasons.

1- I HATE most rally events.
2- Have been busy elsewhere.
3- and have been ill for the last 4 bleeding days after a bad buffet whilst playing pool on wed

Hense, not posting any times!

Neil
