Still working out the rookie kinks. The difference in shifting a 5 speed and a 4 speed makes a world of difference here for some reason.

This thing is just sitting there waiting to jump up and bite you. Miss a shift here and your cutting grass, airborne, or carving doughnuts.:nervous:

T1 - 20.328
T2 - 1'00.398

Still plenty of room here for improvement for me at least. I just need to decide on which tranny I want to bang the gears in.

Yes, finally a week with something interesting, very interesting actually. This'll be my 1st week with a DFP, can't wait to hone my skills with the Shelby.

Okay, using a DS1 is really beginning to kill me. :banghead: No progress thusfar. :irked:

Cheers,
Jetboy

the wheel makes it so much better. Of course once you get that you should build a custom cockpit. I have a prototype in wood I have been working on. (just added a dead pedal) The next step is the steel frame. I need an excuse to use the new miller welder... :sly:

I hope to get a chance to run this on the weekend.

Well, after spending a very frustrating session on Tuesday night (unable to get below a 21.2xx T1) I decided to go back through my setup just to make sure I had the softs on, the right HP and so on - it was then that I noticed that my soft tires had (S3) in the box :ouch:. So, after switching from Sport Softs to the correct Racing Softs I took 15 seconds off my previous best lap time :dunce:.

So now that I don't have to think that I've lost all hand / eye coordination these are my splits:

T1 17.944
T2 54.871

jimeez, nice sig. Glad to see I'm not the oldest member - you've got my by a couple of years

Because I cant drive with DS2, never use it and I can't see myself trying it for the same reason that I wouldn't use a controler instead of a steering wheel to drive a real car.

Yeah I know what you mean, I feel the same way about driving with 100% full throttle in a real car. :sly:

lmao ... thats a classic reply  👍

I would like to drive a real car with a DS2 hahaha ... that would be hilarious ;)
and dont forget the surf board style roof rack to get my kiddy view :sly:

Buy a wheel! 👍
I wouldn't be playing GT if there was no wheel for it :scared:
I would had I the means necessary. :(

 @ Mr. P

Update: Still can't touch my old lap, but I deffinitely know there's more time out there. I just keep biffing the hill-turn around T1. :ouch:

Cheers,
Jetboy

Same here! 👍

The point is that I wouldn't have even try to play GT4 if there wasn't a steering wheel avaiable, I bought it because my son asked me, but then I try it... so here I am now playing it after 2 years

You'd go faster if you shut the door Ron....

You're loosing in aerodinamics mate :D

The front view is my favorite because it gives me a better feel of the car, I use to do Karting races so its also the view I'm use to :sly:

New splits:

T1: 18.066
T2: 54.624

I'm definitely not getting the most out of the first and last sectors, but I've put in 300 km so far and I'm just pushing it too hard for the moment.

A small update:
18.344
54.790

Always fun to watch the replay and even more for this combo.
Very cool car.👍

First: sjaak, thanks for the advice. Love slamming those gears and getting better at it. Won't even consider auto any longer.

update here:

T1- 19.965
T2- 59.968

That middle section is tough for me for some reason and the RIGHT just before "T1" well.................:banghead:

First splits:

T1: 0`18.173
T2: 0`55.226
