I promise you if there was a combo of Motegi East Short Course and GT Mode SLR McLaren allowing any modifications and tuning I would get for sure in the Top 3. :dopey:

Well, there are ALOT of weeks to go, so I'm sure you're going to get your chance in the spotlight :P

700 cars and lots of different tracks to pick from. It's a slim chance a combo with those numbers will happen.

He was promoted, yes ... it must have been done quietly, but check out the D2 listing.
Indeed, but this wasn't mentioned in any result thread. I'll PM Todd about this.

Well it wasn't ~ but when I looked at Div 3 listings to update our Leaderboard, I noticed we was moved the same week, just not verbal.

This was an accident on my part, I must have grouped Villie in with the other 3 that got promoted last week. Villie's still in Div.3 for now. Sorry for the confusion.:dopey:

Well that throws my leaderboard off, but he hasn't raced in a while, so I'm not going to sweat it; I'll add him next week.

No Problem CFM... that why we have a driver archive page too.

@Nat.. moving him to active list

I just did some modifications to the first post.
- moved the board on top of the post
- changed the rules into FAQs and moved them to the end of the post
- put titles on the different sections
- re-saved all boards in the archive from PNG to GIF format for a wider browser compatibility (IE old versions)

(Being now a sticky, this thread has to look good :D )

Just read the 1st post, its brilliant, great job Cyril 👍

Leaderboard has been updated with week 6 results.
I again did some minor changes : the arrows which were used to indicate the ranking evolution have been replaced by the number of positions gained/lost in the week. I find it much more accurate in this way.

Thanks for the promt update flat-out, like the numbering format, makes it clearer on movement up and down the ladder 👍

Steve

Wow, finally I got some points :sly:

Seriously, great work Cyril, this leaderboard improves constantly 👍

OK, I've really enjoyed mixing it with the elite GT drivers of the world :) and am proud of my (generally) Top 10 in Division 2, but I'm probably going to take a hiatus for a few weeks, while I concentrate on progressing in the game... I have only progressed a staggering 0.4 % since I started doing the WRS six weeks ago , but I have undoubtedly become a better GT player because of it... in the last week, I've golded S-16 (first attempt!!), and completed Mission 34 (third attempt!!), pretty much because of week 6 at the Nurb 👍 👍, but in order to maintain the pace required in Div 2, I'm totally unable to do anything else in the game.... :( I'm dying to do some enduros, and to start collecting some motors... but my first priority is to get those 29 golds I still need... So it looks like I might have to suppress my 'WRS gene' for a while (see below... :sly: )

I'm trying to work out the best strategy... since your leaderboard rating is based on your 6 best out of the last 8 weeks (is that right??), i'm probably best to take a break rather than just do the odd week here and there??

Anyway, cheers for the racing thus far... respect to everyone who submits their times, and thanks to everyone who has helped me out by posting their settings and discussing their split times... I know what is expected of a Div 2 driver now :scared:

edit
: posted this in the D2 pit thread, but wanted to say to Cyril, is there a way you can be marked as 'AWAY' on the leaderboard??? Great job by the way... 👍

Basically, the WRS is an open-minded series. You can simply come in or go away any time you want, people won't bother and they will always warmly welcome you when you're back.
That has always been so as far as I can remember (april 2004).

Since you won't run for a few weeks, your name will drop on the board, then after week 14 results are integrated, you'll be marked as 'OUT' with zero point, and the next week you'll disappear. I don't think having an 'AWAY' marker would be of any help.
I'm also 'AWAY' since I can't put enough time in the WRS to match the required div2 pace so I'm busy playing in GT Mode (licenses : 31/42/7, GT Mode 69.1%) and I'll be back when I'm bored with the few remaining licenses/missions/enduros, or when there is a combo where I know I can be rather fast without practising for several hours.

The board has been updated with week 7 results.
And you now can see the effect of the 6/8 rule :
Let's take Small_Fryz as an example.

He scored 30 / 14 / 50 / 35 / 60 / 35 over the first 6 weeks, making a total of 224 points.
He finished 8th in div 1 this week, so scored an extra 35 points.
That makes a grand total of 259, which is displayed in the 'Total' column.

But since only his 6 best results are considered to work out the current points ranking, we must discard his worst result : 14 points for week 2.
His current points total is then : 30 / xx / 50 / 35 / 60 / 35 / 35 = 245 points.

Only people who scored points in all 7 weeks are concerned by this rule, and that means only 8 racers : 5 in div 1 and 3 in div 3. Nobody finished always in the top 20 in div 2.

Nice job Nat, this makes you jump directly on top position

Wow. That leaderboards really looking good. 👍 Did notice a tiny mistake though; in your key the loses x positions/gains x positions are the wrong way round.

They look awesome flat, thanks for taking the time to do them.

It's a small thing - and not something I'd bother with for this week - but personally I would have put Steve above me, even though we're tied for points, simply because he had more overall.

Nice work Cyrill. I always wait yours, so I can see what might of been calculated wrong on ours in Div 3....

👍

@Koly.. Ladies first :P
