Gt5 bathurst leaked?

After abit of googling and alike I found this it was on an iracing forum titled "gt5 to get Bathurst treatment"
* * * * ** They're filming up on the mount next week, not sure what exactly, but after getting a confirmation that they purchased a licence to use it in their game recently looks like they're getting straight into it.
Makes me wonder just what exactly it is they're doing up here, whether its just a lap of the track being filmed and they're going to build the track from that or whether its something more intricate. Perhaps iRacing should take note.

So might have stumbled upon a hosk or something that might have some merit.

iracing has laser scanned tracks so those are 100% accurate. On the other hand, all tracks in GT5 have at least one major flaw and corners are not perfectly done, suzuka being the best example.

Also there's the fact elevation changes and bumps are very badly done or not present in every single track, even in the nordschleife.

Any proof of that? If you think because a car and track was added that PD browses these forums...I think you are mistaken. Unless you can show me.

If I remember correctly (I may be wrong on the details) I seen a article in the news section of this site (GTPlanet) saying that PD have said they view these forums and there was a pic of somebody (I think Kaz, again may be wrong) holding a GTPlanet t-shirt.

I may be confusing a few different stories and pictures (and possibly dreams )

Will go and check now.

Go back to November 7th 2011 in the news section and you will be proved wrong. He commented on the feedback from this forum and was given a special shirt.

I hope Nissan use the GTR but it hasn't
Been confirmed yet. Not sure but I think it has to be a 4 door rwd V8 production car.
It's believed that Nissan will use the Altima. They are hoping to confirm their choice of car some time on or before the running of the Clipsal 500, which is next weekend.

But they certainly won't use the GTR.

I would;d love Bathurst, but looking at GT5 history of tracks it still seems to me that the next track should be silverstone. But 1 thing is certain what ever track it may be, I believe that it will be a old historical track!

I don't understand how a licsence can be purchased as it is a public road and owned by the bathurst city council. And to "book" the track you go thru the council as they give notice to the residents etc

take today for example the Bathurst 12 hour is currently on and has roughly 26 minutes left so the track is in use all day and a majority of the privateling owned houses and the wine yard driveways go onto the track. they would have had to been given at least (i assuming no truth in the this figure) a week notice.

Hmm maybe should ring the council chambers in bathurst on monday to confirm if you require a licsense and if so if any were issued.... lol

If memory serves me correct, Isn't Circuit De La Sarthe also a Public road when its not used?

The track may still be WIP but given how talented and dedicated developers such as SMS and Turn10 are, I don't see how PD and a dreamy Kaz can hold on to their console throne in the near future. And guess who the winners are: us!

Considering how good Spa Francorchamps looks in GT5, I reckon a Polyphony'd Mt Panorama would look much better than the version in that vid. For starters, almost all of the ripple strips in the vid are wrong (mostly much too flat, and some too narrow).

And others where there actually arent any at all (Exit of turn 2).

I think the best version of that track so far is on grid. As even the ps2 v8 supercar games are a tad lame. But I suppose it is evolution as didn't code masters do gird?

I remember as GT5 was still in development, there was screenshot of a PD computer that showed a list of folders with reference pictures of various tracks. Back then it was a huge deal, because there was a folder of Spa and later the people were surprised as Spa was not part of the GT5 release. Now as we got Spa I wonder, was Bathurst on that list?

Edit:
got it.

Yes, but it is only allowed to be a track for a single portion of the year. You can't race or practice on La Sarthe during the rest of the year.

As is Cote D'Azur...

Cote D'Azur is the name of the french riviera and the name of the fictional track in GT5 because they dont have the license for the circuit de Monaco...

Ive read somewere here that technicaly the Circuit de Monaco was indeed named Cote D'Azur wich is a lie...

Sorry for the OT

Now as for the OP is there any reliable and official info on Mount Panorama yet?

Of course it requires a license as does the circuit de Monaco (also a public road) as does circuit de Le Mans, etc, etc, etc... but they can always model it change a few things and give it a fictional name... like they did with Cote dAzur

The people who want it so much are mainly Australian.

Seriously, its a great track, but there are SO MANY more popular tracks around the world that arnt included that I'd much rather have.

I would rather they put in Zolder for instance.

I'd also like to have a more Tarmac rally stages (col de turini PLEASE!!!)
