dude i didnt say that the only way for people to advertise cars is in GT of course Porsche havent bombed because there not in GT have they missed out on getting there product placed in a game aimed squarely at there next generation of customers.. yes they have.. if your in a GT game your putting your company brand in millions of homes and its going straight to the people who are intrested about it.. fact thats a sales departments wet dream..
and where did i say you test cars out in GT.. its brand awareness, if you like it in the game as a child/teenager you end up remembering the brand just in the same way in the old days if your dad had a ford you liked ford because thats what your dad had..
So true. Its an absolute "no brainer" for a car co. to have every model possible in a driving platform sim with potential sales of 10 million or more.
Not only that but in GT, the one with the best reputation out there. (Thats why NASCAR is in GT5)
That kind of exposure is invaluable. Or as you put it, (forgive the paraphrase) "a marketing dept's best wet dream".
I can't imagine Porsche letting this opportunity get away under any circumstances.
