Problem: Well, no DLC of any other games are tied to just one account, and by witnessing the community reports on the lock, I'm not looking forward to october 25th now for the NA's release. GT's content being tied to just one account means that I can't keep my brazilian and german accounts. I solely have these for GT purposes only, as the game itself doesn't have an option for the user to select a desired nationality within the game, regardless of the nationality of one's PSNID, which means, a PSNID of the desired nationality is needed. So, with the brazilian one, I represent my own country, to race online under my own flag, and to pay tribute to a dear idol, a country-mate of mine. The german one, for other reasons of my own. I do not use the american one for online racing, and also, I have a totally separated (american) account for DLC purchases, which means not even my main american account would be able to access the content bought with the DLC account. With any other games, this is not an issue. Since the brazilian PSNID has no access to the PS Store whatsoever, what PD is saying is "yeah, you can't represent your own country and identity anymore", and this is totally not cool for a racing game. I don't care about nationality of an ID for games like Modnation, Portal 2, or similars, but for a racing simulator, I think nationalities are a factor, as many of us love races for several reasons, and these are almost always passionately tied to idols, patriotism and other motivations. Not to mention another issue, which is forcing families to buy the content for each member. Seriously thinking to give up the Gran Turismo series altogether from here onwards. All the other mistakes PD made didn't bother me as much (or even at all), but this one now, with the DLC ? In a word ? Unacceptable. It's the last straw.
Regarding multiple accounts (a side note): Whenever one account has a suspended endurance or championship race, I have the other to join friends online. Now I'm being forced to have just the american one, 'cause of the DLC lock ? So nationality and financial factors are not the only issues for me, and I bet others feel the same, in a way or another.
