That is DEFINITELY Grand Valley. Gran Turismo's signature race course gets a next-gen makeover, and it looks great. That Toyota is looking great as well. It's rare that any newer images of any GT doesn't draw a "wow!" when seen for the first time. These images are definitely deliver a "wow!"

Those are captured from the toyota's promotional movie in HD format and from the photo mode of the same recordings+that old city setting.
Car details and lighting/shadowing/reflections=AWESOME!
Enviroment...not so much, in fact, it's pretty barren and lacking in details compared to the cars sadly... I hope they add more detail to the immediate surroundings on the track to make it more interesting and get better sense of speed!

Agreed! I'd love a real alpine twisty road (not just a series of hairpins) but the sides of the road don't impress me too much on these screens. Just some trees next to the road and than a completely empty field!

Yeah i agree too great lighting effects & of the modelling, i also think we ain't seen nothing yet.The background of the old town, that is from the menu of the E3 demo.

For real especially the last picture, thats not a WOW, thats a DAMMMMNNN.

I'm sure that isn't grand valley.

Grand Valley is a wide track with lots of spectators and it's some type of GP track. The one showed above is obviously a mountain pass track (looks boring with no one else around IMO), and it's probably one of those new tracks PD is making. Remember where talking about PD here and when it comes to making race tracks they are one of the best out there (in virtual). I'm sure GT5 will have tons of surprises. ;)

Just as a joke... its like in FM3 "they modeled the lug nuts"... but in GT5 "they modeled the reflection of the world in the lug nuts." These screens are amazing. The position/animation of the driver is very realistic in the first pic. The G forces are naturally pushing is body to the outside of the the car. The effect of lighting and reflections is also amazing. In heavy light the car has less reflectiveness due to the light muffling the reflections and in darker light the reflection are more noticeable since there is less interference.

Not just the lug nuts.

I think they even modeled the entire engine of the car, suspensions, and the break calipers accurately!

Edit: Anyone here notice the FT-86 wheels bend while drifting? 👍

OK why is there water on the ground? or thats normal?

I wonder what the black background was from in some of those pics on the website...the ones with the smoke in it? Looks epic. I would love to take some photomode shots with that background...

I think the G37 shot in red is amazing. Especially since you can see the incredible details of the car. And the reflections...
