From what I remember GT4 used a DVD-9 but there was much space left, and a great part of the used space was due to music and movies. So I don't think there were any cars left due to space reasons.

From what we know, Standard cars in GT5 should only be returning old ones from past games. I imagine that many race cars in the CM could be different liveries/paintjobs for standard cars, however. Not sure.

Hm I just got an idea. You see, there are a lot of cars, which are basically the same but only with a different livery, and then some, which "should have been in GT4", like the Chapparal because there have been 2 other, rather similar Chapparals in GT4. I just thought that these all could be standards, because they were all modeled for GT4 already but have been left out because of limited disc-space and because the left out cars had good alternatives, just an idea. (Because I can not imagine them all to be premiums because of time-limit you know?)

I spot my favorite car in the world, the Toyota Soarer/Lexus SC300!(JZZ30)

The silver rounded car with the rear wiper. This gives me hope, probably will be standard but if its included I'm happy.

There's nothing to say any of this is representative of GT5's car list. GT2's case cover used the McLaren F1's dials, and the PSP commercial used an E39 M5. Were they in those respective games? Nope.

ID'ing cars is fun, but there's nothing supporting the idea this is indicative of the actual game's list.

has it been confirmed that all of the toy cars from "I love cars" commercial will be featured in GT5?
or are you guys just assuming?

Just assuming but going by what's there and how much PD obsesses over details I'd say there's a good chance these are cars we'll be seeing in-game

As someone stated pages back, it's either this or bickering, plus its fun.
 
Ok, after reading 15 pages of cargasm, I need a cigarette. :D I mean, you guys are good. Anyway, the optimist in me wants to say these are confirmed. Of course we all know that might not be the case, but what a cool way to reveal cars if that was their intent.

But, what is so weird, is that these random new members kept coming in with random complaints about GT5, I mean, I'm not one for conspiracies, but who does that? :odd:

Also, someone mentioned what the intent of the advert was...

To that, just let it be. It is Japan and their advertising is totally different from western countries. Just search "wtf japan" on youtube. :lol:

Don't know if this has been posted, but this is the page from the company that is making the scale models cars for the collectors edition of Gran Turismo 5. I asume that the cars from the "I Love Cars" commercial are from this company.

Thanks. I just wonder why some of the cars in the commercial is not on their site. Maybe it's a mix of model cars from different manufacturers?

Do we know for sure all of the toy cars will be represented in GT5? So far no Porsche, as well what about different racing teams that we did not have in previous GT games?

DMSB is fine i guess. It's what the miniature has on it's descriprtion.

Plus i made a mistake after. I meant to write DTC (Deutsche Tourenwagen Challenge) not DTM. But keep DMSB (any german members can explain what that means?).

i'm 90% certain it's not c63..it's either an E or S, i'm leaning towards an E, watch the vid carefully and you should see a bit of split between the front headlights but because it's kind of blurry, it might just be one piece..

DMSB is the abbreviation for "Deutscher Motor Sport Bund", which translated means sth. like "German Motor Sport Alliance", as I understand it, it has not necessarily sth. to do with DTM itself, DTM stands for "Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaften", or "Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters", which translated means sth. like "German Touringcars Championship", which some of you already probably guessed, I guess. :P

Edit: Oh nice my 700th post, wondering right now if I'll get the 1000th 'till the GT5 release haha.
