the fiat on looses the rear and the car goes sideways which then causes the roll (this is not what happens in the gt5 roll vid)
Hamonds bedford rascal is not realy a good argument tbh as its nothing like the fiat 500 the fiat is a city car with rwd and rear mounted engined so car physics say it would understear, Plus i never said van's cant roll i said cars.
I'm realy Dumb ! duuh i'm not the 1 comparing a 3 wheeler to a car.

Well you are the one that came in here asking why a small little peanut car would flip over while going over 80kph making erratic turns at that speed, so yeah...

She's doing about 45mph trying to make a 45 degree turn in a top heavy car. Sure it doesn't look as it should have rolled, but take a look at the wheel. The first roll she gave it more than a full turn, and the second roll she was rocking back and forth, causing the weight to transfer. I'd say that's enough grounds for a roll.

No backtracking needed, read you'r own post i said any CAR not vans. and the reliant as defence is just laughable.

I've rolled a go-kart at a national c'ship race purely from tyre grip and I've posted a video of a high centre of gravity automobile () flipping so what more do you want?

Denur, do you know if this will be the full game and not a demo? If this is so, then maybe we can expect hands on reports next Wednesday and possibly the first Reviews by then :)

It's not yet clear if this launch event will feature the final and full game, the final build but a cut down demo or a non-final build demo. I'm inclined to think it will at least be the final build as it is the launch event for the press but we will have to wait and see. According to Official Playstation Magazine UK, they'll have the game's first review up on the 27th of October so I'd be surprised if we see any full reviews before this date but I'm sure there will be some "hands on" reviews from this and other similar events.

That surely is a good recipe for rolling over, but I don't think the car had N tires.
Well, I guess we'll find out when the game is out. There are plenty of cars in GT that would roll over easier than an old Fiat 500.

I didn't ask anything, I said the rollovers looked badly done, and that it looked far too easy for the 500 to roll over.
In real life to roll a car incl a suv you have to go hard from side to side.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZF8N9NItHI
as you will see the first one does not flip and it has a far higher center of gravity than a fiat 500. The 2nd one does but needs to be thrown right then left to do so.
But supprise supprise all the fan boys come out not wanting anyone to have an oppinon on gt5 unless its positive.
At least i can read and understand previous posts and not re-interpret them to be something there not.

Yup, there certainly will be more! Looks like Kaz has it in for the new drivers. Time for them to learn a thing or two about real-world physics, lol.

By the way, on the rollover subject, here's an interesting vintage video on a familiar circuit:

1) How fast where they going?
2) I think suspension engineering has improved over the past 40+ years to be comparing the two?
3) The second time she rolled, she was throwing it right to left(check the wheel).
4) It really is hard to tell how the Fiat performed just by looking at the view from the bumper cam.
Check the speedo, watch the wheel/driving line, listen to the tires, imagine what should happen under those conditions in real-life

Oh great so we need to have another 7 pages of ROLLOVER talk or compare what is possible or not possible in cars rolling?

Thanks guys...
Great reading :grumpy:

Look people its a game!!!
The women turned the wheel more than likely too sharply at too high of a speed for the corner and the car tumbled.

What mode was the game in, what tyres?
Does this mean all cars will tumble so easily?
If its too unrealistic for some or annoys them, fine choose to buy or not buy the game, choose to play or not play the game.

To judge the physics engine based on that is a little silly and anyone with a bit of common sense could question it sure but we DO NOT NEED to take it any further, do we? Judge the full game in a few weeks with proper playtesting by actual gamers, not from videos of noobs who cant drive straight never mind take a corner and have likely very little expereince with past racing games.

OMG.. as the launch date aproaches we see more and more haters posting in this forum.

I can't imagine what is going to happen when GT5 hits the stores.

I think of myself as objective, and as i see it, there's a lot of evidence being shown contradicting your claims.. But how often do we see someone admitting they were wrong? On the Internet in particular. It's the instinct called the ego which denies people from changing after they have argumented for something.

Actually, i agree.. Sorry :)

most are going left then right but the best defence for the gt5 vid is at 6.50: as the beetle has the same RR layout as an old 500 but you cant realy tell if he clips the raised rumble strip.
The people in the beetle cabrio were very lucky, they should have that music in gt5 :)

Sometime I believe its the Forza fanboys hating on the forums, then I wonder...are there GT fans flaming Forza's walls? Nah! We don't have the time nor a reason to.

I end my part in the Rollover discussion here.

Yeah, the car quickly reaches 1g when it tips so yeah not N tyres.

I imagine the rollover is very likely for a stock (besides tyres) original Fiat 500 if it could turn and pull 1g plus in real life too.

But, apart for the discussion, i wonder if it would be possible to drive like in that arab vid in GT5? Could create a whole new GT5-sport.. :)

My 2 cents on rollover...the girl driving it was too light...throw a bag of cement into the passenger seat and rollover problem would be solved :)

Well, we have tire-lift now, so we should be able to pull it off. I can't imagine how hard it would be to do so?

I dont even own an xbox i'm not a hater either, I cant wait for gt5 to be released but to me the roll over in the vid looked far too easy with little understear /no impact/not a high speed.
Wish id never expressed an opinion now there are clearly people on the forums who just want to argue about anything and name call other members.
I am also done with the rollover banter.

I wasn't quoting you, sorry if I sent the wrong message. I was trying to be comical and bring up the the thought of GT fans flaming Forza's forum walls. But agreed, we'll end it here.

Saudi-Drifting or Arab-Drifting was possible in GT5 Prologue, so I guess it will also be possible with GT5s refined physics engine.

It would be very entertaining if someone can do this every corners in GT5

No idea, I'm not invited (not press). But I expect some more info soon. I just hope that those attending will not be held to a NDA (non disclosure agreement) until the official launch in Spain at the 28th.
