I really hope standard cars will look better than this...

I wonder if we will have any control over replays? Could we set camera angles, add filters (as with GT4's photo-mode), slow-motion?

 jpro, if you look at the replies on their forum, they're mostly annoyed that it's a repost of old news. If you missed it, the details have been out for a while. It's done the rounds on GTplanet too. ;)

Ok, ok. I get it I made a mistake :banghead:

Remember the Ferrari California trailer and some other trailers had drivers with no helmets/race suits.

I wonder if we can have/make avatars?
Also whats with the roof up/down will we have a choice or will such cars have active animated folding roofs?

There was a Volvo picture where the guy sitting in it wasn't wearing a Helmet so highly likely.

iPod touch is too slow :(

Try an browser alternative to Safari. I use Perfect Browser (right now actually) and it is faster than Safari, plus you can lock the view so that accidental rotation doesn't wreak havoc on your viewing.

It looks like Catfish But its engine is a monster

Definitely looks like a catfish.

uhh only 25 1/2 days till premiere ...

WTF ? :

I was thinking that it looked like a sandwich, but the flies are giving me other ideas.

Monday, exactly three weeks before release and the official GT website pretends like it couldn't care less. A little life sign wouldn't harm at this point. :grumpy:

I would think that the GT website as we know it will be dead and buried very soon. Don't be surprised if the next update to website is a complete shutdown, ready for the massive number of new features and integration of GT5.

I agree. 3 Weeks before release I don't think there will be anything more added. I bet they're planning a new website layout for GT6 as we already know work on GT6 has already begun! :D

What makes you think that? It should be possible to add GT5 integrated content without shutting down the website.

I wouldn't think so, of course they will hold some things back to surprise us but I'm sure we'll get some more cars/tracks/menu screens/etc. in the next couple of days/weeks. I'm just waiting for some 1080p direct-feed gameplay videos from Polyphony itself, it's pretty strange that there are some for games like InFamous 2 or Killzone 3 which come out next year - and GT5 which comes out in 3 weeks has just a bunch of trailers., all those other videos are taken by fans worldwide.

Whenever there are big updates on the site (updates that bring big changes to the website) they do shut it down for a few hours.

As above plus, it raises hype. Everyone starts wondering what's happening, people get excited, and so the media frenzy starts.

The new features seem to be very compex and have a large part to play in the future of the GT series. I personally expect nothing less than a complete overhaul of the entire website, with a complete revamped design to complement the menu style within the actual GT5 game.

When the GT5 launch comes near, the media 'blow-out' will soo huge that the GT5 site (and gtplanet of course) will be swamped. Sony will want to make sure that the GT5 website is not only working 100% with all the game features but that it conveys the scale of GT5 and will encourage even more sales.

Ok, but he said that the current website would probably be dead and buried soon. I don't know what they plan to do but I don't see a reason to replace the entire website just because some new content may be added.

I was just thinking that the current website fits the GT5 look very well. Not identical of course but there definitely is a shared visual identity.

It's not just new content. It's the integration with the game, being able to view your garage etc from your web browser.

https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-5s-my-home-online-features-discussed-at-tgs/

Gran Turismo Anywhere, being able to access 'my home' from the web.

I do agree the current design complements the game to an extent, but if they are going to all the hassle of implementing new features, they're best giving the site a fresh look.

Pretty sure the game is already gold and pressed to disk.

I hope it is atleast gold, or we probably won't see it November 2. As far as all already on the disk, probably not all, but I am pretty sure that they have started putting them on disk and started packing them, and packing the special editions. I am not sure how long shipping would take, but I would assume they will probably leave PD next week in order to be to the retailers on release day.

I see your point but I don't really expect anything major happening to the current website. I find it more likely that the integrated features will open in a new window which looks similar to the game. Sort of like a mini website. There's really no reason to make the entire website look like GT5's in-game menus. For basic internet use, it looks sufficiently mint already. Let's wait and see.

I think Sony will be taking care of the distribution to retailers etc. PD is probably already busy working on a patch as we speak.

OMG Im sooo happy !!
Here in KSA , There a store called "WAITING LINE"
They say they'll have GT5 before the release date by 5 or 6 days
How awesome is that , Im sooo getting it ^^

That's not unusual. Question is if they take the risk of selling it early?
