All this talk of more delays has really worried me!

good job i havnt quite booked the day off holiday!

im off to bed in a minute, i hope when i get up tomo we find out its all rubbish....

So that's a confirmation they have seen the full game?
Or not necessarily?

It means that they've seen all the content that the game has. So it could've still be in the polishing stages at the time that they were reviewing it. What they essentially have is a reviewers copy of the game.

Sleep well, for as until i know the answer to this, i shall not

im even tempted to stay up a while to wait and see! god whats the world coming to....

people need to stop coming up with things "missing" from the game, i bet KY keeps delaying so he can add these ideas in, so everybody keep your mouths shut!!

I believe one of the requirement to get the classification (from the Australian OLFC) is that the producer needs to submit a copy of the game.

Taken from the Australian Government Classification FAQ:

- a copy of the computer game
- the prescribed classification fee ($630.00)
- a detailed written description of gameplay
- Attachment One of the Computer Games application form. This details particulars of any contentious material in the computer game and the means by which access to that material may be gained. Contentious material is any content or incidents within the computer game that might attract a classification of M or above. The Guidelines for the Classification of Films and Computer Games provide a summary of the type of classifiable elements that might result in a decision of M or higher
and
- a separate recording of any contentious material and typical gameplay.

My ipod touch is charged so It will be by my bed and I will be checking it throughout the night untill the solution to this is found.

Well, if the game does get delayed again I hope they just take a year and make all cars premium, and add a livery editor.

I know nobody will agree with me, but I'd rather have that than uncertainty and vague information constantly being fed to us.

Yeah it keeps the game interesting and mysterious, but there comes a point (3 weeks from release) when you need some hard information of whats going on. Or at least I do.

Yeah I mean SCEE specifically, only certain regions may be delayed if that Russian site is feasible.

(To Above) well Of course SCEE will know if it is delayed in Europe...
Well, most everyone with SCEE will be out of the office now (it's late evening in Europe), hence the reason I contacted SCEA in California.

Thanks, wasn't aware of all that!

There's a point where 3 weeks from release delaying it for any long period of time would be very strange.

If it is delayed now for a long period of time to add more features will it need to be re-ceritfied and any short delay wouldn't leave enough time to do any major changes.

Also we are basing this worry on what??? So far all I have heard is it is something to do with a russian website. So we trust this russian website however when I post a pic from the french official playstation magazine no one belives it.

Quick thinking, Time Zones hadn't even occurred to me haha.

I'm not trusting it, just considering it as a possibility. It seems like a reputable site and so it would be silly for them to damage their reputation by spreading silly rumors.

And here we go again. I´m worried that if there are some problems (bugs), PD won´t be able to fix everything in 30 (?) days. Just no 2011 please..

i dont think its going to get delayed, UNLESS the review copies went out and there was a blatant bug or glitch overlooked, and rather than do a patch, they just decided to fix it before release? (be better than adding loads more features and taking another year!)

They've been rated by several ratings boards which means that they can't add anything additional content without having the game rated again. So at this point if they're still working on the game then it's just for polish.

maybe they are having trouble translating all the wording etc? especially if its for lots of different languages ie, russian... could make a few unexpected delays?

maybe i'm just hoping though!

The whole thing seems a bit suspicious to be honest, you would have thought that if it was being delayed in Russia due to the game not being translated that they would have been aware of it some time ago?

I'd be very surprised if it was true but the main thing is I'll be buying it in the UK not Russia so it doesn't actually affect me.

...uh, why would an obscure Russian website have delay info posted before anyone else?
I dont think its wishful thinking to say its unlikely they would know, or have such news before the major english speaking website world would. I dont know how you say 'poop' in Russian, but I'm sure this whole thing is a load of it.

After the looooooooooong dev time... And all of the statements stating, "if we are going to set a date, we are going to stick to it". I have a hard time believing this will happen, and if it does happen then it most likely just effect a couple countries. However, I am still worried, which is probably unwarranted.

Being on time is so very important for the PR of this game.

Seriously, the time to add new ideas is long gone, anyone can suggest whatever they want for all I care as they should know they won't delay a game for one suggestion.
Only when an idea catches on and is shared by a large group and discussed over a long period of time there's a chance they'll take it into consideration.
Don't exaggerate the importance of one individual opinion on a forum in the context of a game sold to millions, they might like a particular suggestion made by an individual themselves if it really is a good idea but then again they won't delay GT5 simply for adding one or more ideas ( even those which are shared by a majority ) at this point in time.
Suggestion time is over, don't worry they simply can't afford to have a delay due to adding more content.

It's де**** :) or better го***.

I honestly won't be surprised if it's pushed back. I'm not going to get angry. What's the point? It'll come out when it comes out, and when it's in my hands I'll be so happy.

Well sure ...if a North Korean website claimed the release was bumped up by 2 weeks, what would you do? Move to North Korea? :) nah, its all ok. Number one rule in the news business is know your sources, and this Russian angle is left field all the way.

I can confirm SCEA is aware of the Russian article, but they did not have any further comments to confirm or deny its contents at this time. I'm not going to do anything with the information yet - we'll see what comes out of SCEE tomorrow morning.

Quick question.

The photo mode malarky.

Is it possible to take pics and put them to memory stick for printing off a pc.
I've heard there 18 megapixels or equivalent.

If no one knows then I'm not surprised lol.

That was the case for GT4, but for GT5 I imagine it's saved to your ps3's harddrive, requiring you to take the extra step to export it from your Harddrive to a usb, then to your pc.
