I somehow doubt that it would be delayed so close to release. It should have gone gold already, and I don't think, even if it was delayed, it would be an entire month. If delayed, I would guess maybe a week, but I still doubt it. From what Kaz was saying last time he was asked was that the game was pretty much finished and they were just doing the polishing while they waited for Sony to give it the green light to be released. If it's delayed, then it would solely be Sony's fault, and with a game this anticipated, another delay this close to release would be crappy. Let's hope the next official words from Sony about GT5 is that it's gone gold.

Tuesday afternoon in Belgium and Wednesday in the Netherlands Gran Turismo 5 will be presented to the press and fully playable. After the presentation the people from the press can try the game for themselves. At this moment it is unclear whether a Non Disclosure Agreement will be in place.

Black ops related? Or at least a contributing factor.

That's great news.

PEOPLE, PEOPLE! Calm down! Nothing's confirmed, let's turn off our speculation antennaes and let Sony properly announce this, while nothing's confirmed no need to panic!

Right now the release date is Nov. 2, 2010!!! If tomorrow that date is changed we'll complain, but as I speak the release date is Nov. 2 so NO NEED TO PANIC (yet).

Keep in mind that each division of the company has some amount of autonomy. SCEA simply may not know if the EU version of the game is being delayed, and in order to prevent any SoA-style screwups are simply deferring the questions to SCEE or SCEJ before they say anything concrete.

But there was nothing stopping them from saying that nothing has changed in regards to GT5's US release date. It's just worrying that they weren't contacted about a possible delay of the game in a certain territory but wouldn't mention that nothing has changed for the US release. That would've put a lot of people at ease. Just based on SCEA's response i'm pretty much expecting a delay now.

Unless SCEA gets a directive from SCE, they're not position to either confirm or deny any rumors or news. It's the way most corporation work. If the rumor gets out of hand and SCE is aware of it, there will be Press Release to either confirm or deny.

Bad thing, no car shadow and look at the ground..

There're few instances- a few glitches here and there but for most part you get shadows underneath the car n both the rearview and side-mirrors. It's a video-game not real life, things like this is excusable.

i think it may be only russian problem,

Shipment may be late or something or it can be to strong demand for a game retailers in USA EU, so they will send mayor part of shipment to EU and USA and dalay premiere in some countries.

Hence in UK it's 5 not 3rd !

There's no way that it won't get out of hand. GT is the biggest series that Sony has and the next game in the series is 3 weeks away. So any rumblings of a rumor is going to spread quickly.

Could be what they meant although it would seem strange that they get it a whole month late.

I'd hate for this to be the reason, but it could very well be a political thing. It is Russia. There might be a couple cars or companies in the game that they don't want their people exposed to, and to remove those cars for the country, it would probably take a month. But, I doubt that...at least I hope that's not the reason.

Maybe it's meant as a punishment. I heard somewhere that 95% of PSP (UMD) games played/owned in Russia is pirated. Although I would assume it's no different from anywhere else :)

So this speculation is purely based on one source, a Russian site nobody heard of before ( or at least the non-Russians, maybe those who are Russian can tell us more about the reliability of this one )?
I'm not worried one bit yet as one source is no source in my book.

The site is not reliable, but the press release from SCEE Russia is real. All Russian video game retailers already change release date for GT5 from Nov 5 to TBA or Nov 30.

Maybe there adding some Russian cars for there version of the game.
Anyway away from the delay fears should i buy a dfgt ? they have a £50 discount on them at argos (now £79,99) don't know weather to go for one or not.

Might as well. You could probably get it cheaper elsewhere.

But definitely worth £80, so long as you have something to attach it to.

AHAHAHAAH the idiocy in this thread is amazing. You are likely the same geniuses that keep reposting that fake car list every day and going IS THIS THE OFFICIAL LIST? Brilliant.
