Headlights and glasses are strangely clean too.
I wonder if in the final build we will be able to use wipers AND the washer to clean dirt from the windshield.

When in cockpit view, the weather trailer showed snow accumulating in the windshield, no? (err, kind of "same thing")

Maybe it got the same limitation\unfinished state as rain and damage (lack of droplets and headlights\glass not "shattering").

Why is everyone taking a no-name website Russian over the bigger name websites?

I was in a hmv store 4 hours ago and all of the release dates have been changed by means of a new printed sticker being put over the original (this was on all of the large scale boxes on the shelf. I was hoping it could be a mistake ,but i'm now wondering if the store has sticker'd the box's before it should have ?

How could SCEE allow the screw up of the release of a game in the region where it will make the most money? I expect bad news tomorrow and an angry reaction that will be 100% deserved. How could you drop the ball on something like this?

I really can not imagine how this place is gonna look like, when they should announce a delay indeed.

Without sounding childish or annoying, but when they announce a delay longer than one week, I will NEVER, EVER believe a release date again, untill I am holding the game in my own hands, looked in the box and see that there is the blue-ray-disc I want.

I don't believe it, it's some email that one retailer claims to have, yet Sony has said nothing, so i still will not believe it till it comes straight from Sony to major news sites.

I am with you there buddy, PD and Sony really hyped everything up for the 2nd Nov and the other release dates, and now if they delay it? TORCHES AND PITCHFORKS!

From what it sounded like on the news page, there was some sort of issue with the Russian version of the game, and if they didn't get it resolved in time, it could have delayed it an entire month if not longer. However, from the looks of things, everything has been resolved without such drastic measures. From what it sounds like, it sounded as if they had an issue with their translator.

It's not getting delayed. There's NOTHING you can fix in a month that can be fixed by a patch, even a release day patch.

Consider this, by the time the game goes gold and gets to retailers, you've already ate into your "extra time", which could have been avoided by doing the work behind the scenes and no worrying about the release date slipping.

May not be the "PD WAY" but, let's be honest, consoles have internet connections and hard drives now.

It seems like they have problems with the production (again the crap ps3 news page)... I don´t wonder, when they work on the game till 2 weeks before release... We still did not get any "Gold" confirmation for GT5...

I think it looks good. Car looks quite dirty near the bottom half.

Thats probably where we will only see dirt on the car.

But seriously, I don't think most of us really talk about this anywhere else. Just here on GTP.

As stated before, I got a lot of things to worry about too, especially maintaining my GPA at college. But lets not forget videogames such as GT5 offer an escape from reality for a while and having to wait on something that everyone has looked forward to is a major pain when you are less than a month away. Just a thought

Theres too much financially for Sony riding on this to screw up release dates. The deadline date was announced months ago-Sony would look really bad, and lose some credibility with retailers and fans if this date was not met.

A post here earlier reckoned the Russian delay was due to Production-not development...I think the same. The development side should be finished. Production for one region is affected...Sony can't allow any other regions to slip. Bottom line is they can't find a Russian translator for 1000 cars

I'm not too worried about this only because I Googled 'ModNation Racers' 'goes gold' and got no hits that directly stated when that happened either. That game, of course, is already released.

My point is that we may not be given that information when it happens. At the same time, I must confess to looking at all of this very simply: when it is released, I will play it.

Hmmm... this may just be a Sony thing with "late" production or the fact "going gold" usually has to be announced by the company and, even if it did, we'd probably never even hear about it.

I heard they've scrapped GT5 in favour of making an HD remake of Omega Boost, that's why it's been delayed.
