Like I mentioned before, think I'd rather have a Tourist Trophy sequel purely devoted to bikes for several reasons.
Although speaking purely from my own perspective, I wouldn't mind the convenience of having them both ( cars and bikes ) in one game.
As I like both, for now indeed just release the darn game.

I don't really think that there's a market for motorcycle racing games as a standalone product. So making them part of GT5 would make a lot more sense. You'd have a lot people willing to pay the small amount of money it would cost to purchase a few bikes.

I like the fact that GT5 will already support bikes. I'd glady pay for something like a "performance bikes" pack. I dont really want bikes in from the get go but it is a good feature to support for the future. Perhaps it may even pave the way for further bike integration for GT6

Really? How about Tourist Trophy or the Moto GP and SBK series?
Perhaps not as big as GT or car driving games in general but there is a market.

I'm not talking about them simply existing as a product i'm talking about them from a sales perspective. TT sold well because its connection to GT but those other bike games don't really sell. I just think that PD could make a lot more money just by using their GT5 userbase to sell bike to rather than trying to make an entirely separate game.

Kaz mentions in that quote that they can run bikes in the environments that they've created so there really isn't any reason for them not to be DLC. They could add additional content along with the bike DLC to make it more fleshed out, such as customization, bike specific events ect.

Surely if they know that the game currently supports bikes, then this must mean that they have bikes operating within GT5 in a testing environment. Just knowing this is quite exciting as far as possibilities are concerned

I guess the buying demographic which bought GT and TT are largely overlapping but there are also those who only buy one or the other which if they incorporated TT into GT would 'force' those only interested in bikes to buy a car game they probably won't use or at least didn't plan to use.
If they released TT2 they would also make money from those who are interested in both and who already bought GT5.
Not sure which would be the most sensible decision marketingwise, again from a selfish point of view I wouldn't mind bikes in GT5 but I also wouldn't mind buying a seperate game.

At least for me it would make an online trackday on the Nürburgring more realistic perhaps.:)

Bikes with the same level of fidelity as GT5 cars!? The GT5 physics engine already support bikes!? And PD is only waiting for (TT) fans demand!?

Hard to think that's even a posiblity, when people will probably be so busy asking for PD to phase-out standard cars (and possibly tracks) through DLC.

NO BIKES!!! :yuck:

👍👍👍

This would kill the GT feeling for me :yuck:

I don´t know if this exists in english but here in germany we say "less is more" in directly translation :D... Seems like they wan´t to put everything in GT5, 3D,Move,Head Tracking,GPS,Bikes... that can be go wrong...

WHat's wrong with having bikes as DLC? the game is done, it has cars only for now so it's not like you HAVE to use them or are missing out on cars because they were too busy working on bikes instead.

I dont see how having a premium bike pack as dlc affects any of this post release. Take it or leave it, it would be up to you. More choice cant be bad

Isle of Man TT track in GT5 please. Forget the bikes tho.

Please PD, no bikes: give us THE game! ;)

What is the problem guys? You don't like the bikes? :D

Variety is good, after all original GTHD concept had cars and bikes in the same game and I see no problem with that.

Bring it on PD.

My problem (and I believe that this problem is sharable with many of us) is the release of the game. I won't see a news that says: "GT5 delayed again for the introduction of the bikes".
I just want the game but I love both motorcycles that cars!

Was it ever promised that it was gonna be in it? You're the fool if you were expecting something that wasn't so much as even mentioned much less promised for this race.

I wasn't expecting it,
I just can't understand why the hell they make it a "24hr - endurance race"
By the way, you shouldn't call me a fool in my opinion.
Since when are commercial engineers fools
