Fourthly, the 360's 1080p IS upscaled. Bungie themselves mentioned this when making Halo 3 when asked if the game would support full HD. They said, that the 360 isn't really capable of full HD, even with the HDMI, (either 'cause of the discs or processing power, I can't remember), so a lot of the games are made in SD or 720p then upscaled to 1080p. While this means that ANY game on the 360 can support 1080p, it's not as nice as true HD which is what Sony's Blu-ray technology was made for.

Sorry to burst your bubble, I agree with you as far as Burnout is concerned, but everything else you said is wrong. The 360 can do native 1080p.

It's strange then that the graphics are BETTER on the 360. I used to own one but sold it due to alot of issues with it. However, all games I've played on both consoles(Resident Evil 5, GTA IV, Burnout Paradise) looked BETTER on the 360. No matter what anyone else says. Altough it was very little difference, but it wasn't worse.

You do realize that most developers for multiplatform games develop for the 360 and then port over to ps3. And even at that, there is no real noticeable difference in graphics between the two unless you're really grasping at straws. If you want to talk graphics, the ps3 exclusive games that are developed for ps3 specifically such as KZ2, Uncharted, etc. have much better graphics than anything seen on the 360.

Okay, first of all, Burnout Paradise looks exactly the same on both systems. Trust, me I've played it on both, there's not enough of a difference to make an argument over. Secondly, GTA IV looks better on the PS3, as well. The lighting is much better. Thirdly, you can't trust Gamespot AT ALL when it comes to PS3 vs 360. There was one of those where PS3 had the better graphics on a lot of them, but GS said the 360 was better essentially because they liked it better...which is BS. MS paid off GS for the longest time and GS is probably stil on MS's payroll.

PS3 can handle the complex lighting of games a LOT better than the 360. In GTAIV, when cops are chasing you at night, you get their lights reflecting off of everything, but not so much with the 360.

This isn't the place for a fanboy war, that's your opinion, many people would beg to differ.

Shouden, this cuts both ways. This isn't the place for it, even if you believe you're correct.

Yeah, that's possible. Well I havent played alot of exclusives on the 360, maybe Halo 3, that wasnt to impressive. Anyway, I don't realy care about graphics, just wanted to point out what I have experienced on the games I've played on both consoles.

Sorry, yes you are correct. Word of mouth hasn't done me any favours this time :/.

Glad you understand.I don't need to write a poem for you ;)
Also Burnout Paradise actually looks and feels better on PS3. (I have both consoles and WII)

They even don't understand that this laughable article is almost against Forza :) Ha-ha!Seems the truth always wins! ;)

I don't know anything about Gamespot, I'am just going on my own experience after owning both consoles....

I had Resident Evil 5 for 360, it could be played in 1080p. I did that. Now I have Resident Evil 5 for PS3, it only works in 720p. It only says 720p on the back of the box. So I don't understand what people are talking about realy, maybe it's different on different regions? I don't know.

And I don't understand what anything of this has to do with fanboism, it's such a missused word, mostly by underaged kids.
Like I said, I play the good games, not the consoles.

720P is the native res on many PS3 games so it played in 720p. If you set it to output 1080p it would. As for the 360, I'm assuming the game is upscaled from 720p to 1080p like most games.

For goodness sake, who cares? Take this stupid console argument elsewhere, this is not the place for it.

WRC 2010 is a terrible game from what I hear.

This is not realy the correct thread to talk about WRC 2010, but since GT5 has a WRC license too, why not:

This is a translation from the WRC 2010 review in a dutch TV magazine (Veronica)

We could write about how bad the rally cars can be controlled, how sad the environments are, or how amateuristic the menus look. But it is easier to state that there is absolutely nothing positive to report about this racing game. The WRC organization should be ashamed and refrain from now on to give licenses to money-lusting amateurs.

Watching D1GP and noticed all the cars have GT logos like the Nurburgring 24 Hour race. Formula D was also sponsored by GT5 a couple years ago. But this is the first time I've seen the drift cars with GT logos.

Worse is that They're bored and geeky at the same time!! :scared:

Even my youngest bro played and deleted the demo in 5 minutes.

WRC 2010 demo. Not GT5.
Downloaded few days ago, and just deleted, bad driving and not so fun at all... well it appear like the car is flying, without contact with ground. Nice voice for the copilot, try to crash with something, he will say: Ouch, are you fine? Ahh!
Very funny...

So I think its officially an order that any car racing game from those guys should be avoided at all costs.

Talking about that WRC game being the official FIA licenced game and with a new NASCAR title coming too, it does make me wonder how this whole licencing actually works with GT5 both having a WRC and NASCAR licence.
Granted that GT5 probably has a different approach or a 'lesser' dedication purely to those specific series alone but does this make it therefore also more feasible to expect more F1 cars this time for example even with F1 2010 having the official licence?
It all depends on several different legal aspects too ofcourse but still.

Yeah I looked it up on youtube and they wrote some very positive comments about it.

Sometimes I trust them and others I'm just in disbelief.

i have to disagree with you there. although i have come to realise that it is not very realistic in terms of driving, i do think that the graphics are very good (not as good as gt5 however) and that the challenge of trying to master the cars round the corners is very entertaining, even just on the free demo.

FIA keeps F1 very closed. Mainly because of Bernie Ecclestone.

Is it just me or has this thread gone downhill
in the last few days?

I can't work out if it's serious conversation or just a push to get to 2000 pages, which has no real significance.

Either way, a lot of good regular posters have definately kept away from posting in this thread recently.

Speaking of which, I am hoping that GT5 can do something with my desire for a good console rally game. It looks as promising as Loeb's career, but I'd hate to count my chickens before they're hatched...
