Sorry guys for off-topic but I have a question.
Can I play PS3 games in 3D with other than Bravia TV?I'm thinking of buying a cheap 120Hz LCD monitor (Samsung or LG).Can't find the answer...

You need a dedicated 3D TV... you dont need a BRAVIA 3D tv, but you need a 3D TV...

Apparantly it has to do with this.

I read somewhere on this website that it is to do with drag racing.

And analog, if the Maseratis are premium, then why aren't they listed as such in the Master Car list? Is it yet to be edited?

There are two times in drag racing. The time from when your wheels move and the beam at the starting line connects to the time you break the beam at the finish line, and the time between the green light comes on and you break the beam at the finish. If two racers run the same E.T. (time beam to beam), and racer A's reaction time was .1 as opposed to racer B's .3 reaction time, Racer A's would win by .2 (racer A will get to the finish line .2 before racer B). Racer B got beaten by racer A being quicker to react to the lights on the christmas tree, and not his vehicle's or his driving performance, hence the term racer B got "tree'd".

That's a completely different story I won't get involved in ( a moderation issue ) but trust me they are Premium ( every car new to the series is and some cars which previously were included also received the Premium treatment ).
So no that list isn't up to date.

Judging by that post, and your sig, you have a problem with moderators. How big do you want that problem to be?

Thanks. Made my day 👍 :D

It doesn't. The ANA / HANA chip isn't an upscaler. It was all BS PR by Microsoft. But despite that, the 360 can STILL do native 1080p.

Someone did a Black & White pixel test on YouTube for both the PS3 and 360 and the results were very very clear to anyone who watched that video. The 360 was clearly up-scaling and not producing solid black & white pixels, whereas the PS3 was. He used an image with a chequered black and white pattern and it was displayed on his screen at true 1080p resolution which is 1920x1080.

It wasn't too long ago that MS themselves said the 360 would do better running at 720p or even below that due to the fact that it struggles doing up-scaled 1080p let-alone true 1080p.

All Maserati cars are new to the series, so therefore they are Premium ( with cockpit view ).
Standard and Premium has nothing to do with the type of car, just the way they are modelled.

Not exactly, see in the GT official sites description of Standard cars, 3 are pictured.

The Alpine A110 1600s, Audi R8 LM Race Car, and Lamb Countach '74.

2 of which are 'new' to the GT Series introduced in GTPSP, but they are nonetheless Standard Cars, so I don't believe strictly all NEWLY modeled cars will be Premium just as not ALL returning cars will be Standard. Thank you.

They were also in the PSP version. If a car has never appeared in the series before then it's going to be premium. As analog said, Maserati's are completely new to the series, so all of the Maserati's featured in GT5 are going to be premium models.

Ugh... I give up.

Indeed SolidSnakex, GT-PSP is part of the GT-series so those cars aren't new to the series, any car added to GT5 which hasn't been in any previous GT game is automatically a Premium car.
Some which were seen before are also Premium because they were selected by PD and remodelled entirely.
No new Standard cars, only those cars in GT4 or GT-PSP which haven't been remodelled ( the vast majority ) are Standard.

That's still not accurate. What about the GT5P cars? They're part of the series and they're Premium. What about the Celica Rally car from GTHD? It's been in at least 2 other GT games and it's premium. Then there's the Ferraris. The Enzo was in GTPSP as was the F1 car, but we know both of those are premium.

MOST new cars will be premium and MOST returning cars will be standard, but there are exceptions. I don't know of any "new" Standard cars, but I'm sure they're in there.

I highly doubt that there will be any. The description of standard cars specifically mentions how they've appeared in previous GT games and have been recreated for the PS3. So that should exclude any new additions to the series.

As long as they have a lower view in the hood cam, I don't mind the standard cars not having a cockpit view since that is pretty realistic aswell. The way the camera is in GTA4's vehicles is a good example of what I mean and also need for speed prostreet. The hood cam in GT4 was pretty high up but I hope in GT5 they implement a better version of it.

None of that conflicts with anything he said, which is that all cars not previously seen in any GT game will be premium and a majority of cars which have appeared previously will be standard. He did not at any point state that only new cars will be premium - he explicitly stated the opposite.

edit: whoops, nvm.

Arrgh, not this again. Well, it is GT5 relevent at least so there some comsolation (barely)

Does another developer have the Koenigsegg license.
Similar to the Porsche agreement with EA.

If Koenigsegg are not in, that would be another blow to the encyclopaedia of cars.

So what kind of agreement does Porsche have with EA? Lots of Porsche cars in Forza 2 and 3. Could it be possible that EA is going to do a new Porsche Unleased soon? That would be cool if they do it right.

Forza also has some of the Koenigsegg cars as does EA so no idea there.

Ignoring the first part of your post as I, and others, already pointed out this isn't accurate ( just read what I wrote and you'll see I already took all those suggestions on board )
The second part is also inaccurate as it's mentioned many times before ( and mentioned by Kaz himself ) all new additions ( not necessarily new cars, classics as well ) are newly modelled using the new standard of modelling called Premium ( or at least that's how they call the end result ).
Not only those but in addition to the new additions some cars seen before are remodelled too.

This makes sense as Premium cars are the new way of modelling ( future-proof apparantly to an extend ) eventually fully replacing the Standard cars, they just don't use the old way of modelling anymore as that would be pointless and a waste of time so no new additions to the series are Standard.
Standard cars are just old assets, modelled before developing GT5, graphically retouched to add variety ( according to Kaz ) or filler ( according to me ).

Or to put it simply, something they had lying on the shelf and deemed to be still usable.
