Guys just remember, when the game is finally released, it will be the best driving experience you've ever had, and will last for years, probably as long as the game has been in production for. Now wouldn't you rather wait for that than get a game that is buggy and flawed today?

Guys look at this link of gtplanet.net ages ago when in August 2005 we were allready thinking of gt5's release date, 5 years on and we are still waiting on a release date.

Yeah but after 6 years, why this 3 more days that ended up with the delay...

EDIT: And really, I don´t care anymore... The hype has gone a long time ago... It´s ready when it´s ready... Maybe I´ll buy it on rls. maybe I wait a bit... For sure I buy it but the hype is over... They did it tooo much...

C'est en tout cas la date indiquée par notre partenaire Amazon sur la fiche du jeu. Une sortie de Gran Turismo 5 le 8 décembre collerait avec les propos d'Andrew House, le Président de Sony Europe, qui déclarait récemment que ce jeu de courses très attendu serait disponible avant Noël. Rappelons toutefois que le jeu a connu un nombre important de reports successifs, à tel point que certains groupes de fans déçus - ou plutôt trop impatients - parlent de le boycotter le jour de sa sortie. Si cette menace de boycott s'avère aussi efficace que pour Left 4 Dead 2 ou Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2, nul doute qu'elle risque de faire trembler Sony...

It's pretty amazing that Sony is worth less than $34 billion. Although they only have themselves to blame.

Excluding real driving is so true. I went to Mercedes Benz World this summer while I was in England. Played a GT5 demo there and then went out in one of the AMGs with a pro-driver. Just worlds apart. Any game, no matter how good comes nowhere near to conveying the sense of speed and momentum you get from the real thing.

Alas most of us can't afford to buy AMGs let alone get them on a track. GT5 will have to do - if it ever comes out that is.

You know what really grinds my gears? The fact that we still haven't seen the Bugatti Veyron, in any of the GT5 pictures or videos. I'm starting to doubt its existence in the game.

@CoolColJ: I really, really hate the Veyron. One of the ugliest cars in the world (imo). But I will buy and drive it just for the moving rear spoiler action.

This will sound really daft and I too question its validity but I thought I'd pass it on. The brother in law of a close friend of mine is lead tester at Sony in the UK, (This part I know to be true). I was discussing GT5 with my friend and he mentioned the delay. He said that his brother in law told him it was purely down to ironing out bugs which they had expected to be sorted but were proving troublesome...So as far as he's concerned it was excessive bugs in the game. I told him, I'd heard it was most likey blu-ray production issues and he said this wasn't the case.

Nope they didn't, Porsche tried to take over Volkswagen and failed, it backfired enormously and Porsche ended up being taken over by Volkswagen ( they're now part of Volkswagen ).

That Veyron only a slightly tarted up version of the standard PSP model amazingly enough, but I'd be surprised if it didn't get premiumised for GT5.

I bought Gt5 prologue today .. For the 3rd time!!! I'm still amazed by the graphics. I did get slightly bored but maybe the bigger choice of cars and tracks will make gt5 much more exciting

Dude did you look at the photo's on the previous page? the Veyron was made from scratch in premium then ported to GT PSP not the other way around.

I wonder why they bother making premium cars if people think that Veyron is premium! There's angular wheel arches and no panel modelling for starters. GT5's rendering system works wonders though.
