There were reports "from Kaz" clarifying that all cars had cockpit view too, a few months back...
I think these reports may be true. In one of the many videos I have watched over the last few days I saw one or more of the Stingray showing from cockpit view. The dash was featureless other than shape. No gauges but still had the correct shape of dashboard, windscreen and steering wheel. This surely was not a premium model so I take that as confirmation of cockpit view on standard models.

As said a lot of times before, it was premium, it said so in the car selection screen.

There are much more iconic car's than Veyron... Veyron is fast only on drag race but not on track... McLaren F1 (F1 LM) are musch more iconic car and he win so many races! :) Alo Ferrari F50 and Lambo Diablo:sly:

Which track is it not fast on? Seriously, it weighs 2 tons, of course it won't be the best or fastest on all road tracks. Being slower than a handful of cars doesn't make it slow.

Instead of face palms, can't you find an exorcist pic with her head turned round.

Sort of a halloween vibe going on there too.

I'm being sarcastic here:crazy:, but at this point, is there any evidence of the full build of this game, beyond mock-up screens & the Course Maker video.
I believe all reviews up to this point have been from one of the many demos shown.

I guess I missed that then. Perhaps it appeared featureless due to shadows then or not complete in that build. It looked like the dash was blank.

Anyway would be cool if the cockpit view is there on all cars even if that view is very bland which I suspect will be the case but if not then no biggie really. I do like the addition of the hood view while keeping the older roof view camera.

In the rain and snow it will be difficult to drive in cockpit view but will be cool to see the rain and snow causing serious vision problems. I really hope that we have this option on all cars. I also hope that there is a way in the online lobbies to force racers to use this view if desired as in the rain a hood view would be a big advantage over the cockpit view.

Just for you Spagetti :D

With the face palms again...Really now? :indiff:

Sometimes pictures say more than words ever could and I only used a picture not commonly seen and in general I don't use facepalm pictures other than for a special occasion, and yes this was a special occasion.
Can't believe people still think that Corvette is somehow Standard ( I and many others have gone into quite some detail explaining the reasons that cockpit is dark and appears, not is, less detailed in several threads already ) or more importantly think Standards have any cockpits, detailed or not, at all.

Nothing personal by the way HBR-Roadhog, my apology if it appeared that way ( I really like cockpit view too ).

The only experience I have with the Veyron is from FM3 in which it is very fast but drives like a sled.

No problem. I am rather new here so there are many threads and posts that I have not read yet. I used to lurk back when I was playing GT4 but just starting really paying attention over the last couple of weeks hoping to find new info on GT5. I think this may be the first time I have ever been waiting to see how long I will need to wait.

No problem there!

You'll probably unfortunately have more than enough time left to read most of them though before playing GT5.;)
Again my apology for being a bit harsh, it's just that your suggestion has been made several times before and answered several times before.
Welcome by the way.:)

I hope the mods start giving out warning's for facepalm pic's. Not funny anymore.
I thought this was :gtplanet:. Not facepalm planet

Yes it does IMO, ever seen a Veyron in races or track events longer than lets say 40 minutes? I guess not. Because Bugatti can't asure that the brakes and tires can take it. It will be quick for one or two laps, but then your tires and brakes will start to fall back. The Veyron is nothing more than a showcase of what is posible in total luxury. The weight is to high to make it fast for a race longer than a few laps IMO. It just isn't a car designed for racing. It is fast for a few laps, but if you can't finish the race because of all this you will be last and over a total race length that is slow.

Veyrons aren't the type of cars to be built for spec racing.
