Funny that you complain about jokes not being funny when you can't even seem to notice a rather obvious one ( funny or not ).
Just to make clear, I was talking about Porsche as in the carmaker ( or former hedgefund according to some ), not relating to a Forza context ( as Porsche do exist beyond the borders of a videogame ).

Who's debating? Not that interested in Porsche either.

Further clarification ( can't actually believe that's even necessary ), it wasn't meant to start a debate about Porsche either, just used it as another example of a topic seemingly on an endless loop.

Starting off on the same tune as fanboys with some "cardboard" comments only to attempt the high-horse thing with the "let's not get into it" a sentence later is equivalent to the whole "No offense, but..." comment opener. It's pretty transparent.

According to my clock, Tokyo's 14 hours ahead of me, putting them at 9am Friday. Considering the chances of a weekend announcement are slim to none... Sony and PD have 15 more hours of the last work day of October to hold on to the promise of a new date...

Asides the news of "ruts" in the snow, what is there to discuss really? The rest we knew already.

The mechanical damage is being discussed somewhere, or has been at least, so erm... have a look there? All I know is that it sounds like what I expected when I heard of the mechanical damage.

I guess i have to repeat myself. I said I can have fun too. Meaning when you guys joke, I can joke as well. The tone you take, can be the same tone I take. I don't want to get into the Forza debate again but let's put the things right.

GT4 came out in December 04 in Japan and February/March 05 in the rest, Forza 1 came out in May 05, so this one doesn't really count because they come out around the same time.

The "Forza 4" that you said is just Forza 3 with Kinect controls so no, this doesn't count either.

Turn10 have released Forza 2 and Forza 3, that is a fact, but PD have also released during that time Tourist Trophy, GT5, GT PSP and in aproximately one month we will have GT5 so..

Having a look at the UK and US GT sites, just noticed the US collectors edition is $99 but includes a scale model car in that... the Euro CE only has the Apex magazine and there's no car, only if you shell out megaloads for the Signature edition instead.... Is that right.. The US CE is quite a similar price in real terms to the Euro CE but we don't get the car... fail

Personally I'm really getting the CE for the Apex magazine but a scale model car would've been nice... it's just the issue of similar pricing, totally different packages that bothers me....

I don't want tourist trophy, I don't want a psp game, and prologue is a big demo that doesn't represent the final game. I want GT5. "Forza 3 with Kinect controls" is Forza 4. It will be called Forza 4.

This isn't the GT PSP forum or the tourist trophy forum. This is GT5.

My point is just that development is taking a long time. And, for what it's worth, I think GT5 will be better than Forza 3. But I don't care about Forza. I'm just using it as a timeline.

The car is to entice people to buy the much more expensive Signature Edition over there. Because of the SLS competition.

It's almost getting surreal! Like we're stuck in a mobius strip, every month the demo pops up at a car show or game show, we all get excited about some new feature or something rumored to be in the game and then nothing so things start to simmer, someone mentions the dreaded "F_za" and then the sniping starts Oh man, please let them say something tomorrow about a release date...

I have been invited to a GT5 release event and after the game was delayed i have been waiting for the new date of the event.

I just got an email asking if i will be availible on December 1st.

They have been waiting for cofirmation of the release date so maybe this is when they will receive the first copies.

Edit: Just been told that no release date has yet been announced. But they are having the event anyway! FAIL

Well, this isn't a Forza forum either.... And the development is taking a long time, yes, but because this itineration is a monumental gap respect to the last one and because they have to do those other games too. Maybe you don't want any of them but that doesn't matter, they cost development time either way you like them or not, just saying.
