You know, this is kinda sad. Here we all are staring at a computer screen in hopes to hear news of when our favorite game will be coming out. Why not just get outside and do something else. Jordon and the other video game people will let us know when we can go pick it up. To get our undies in a knot over a game is a little silly. I think it's time to take a break from these forums for a while.

I was pretty mad when my boss told me that we'll be on a business trip from 2nd to 6th November but now that GT5 got delayed I'm really happy about it ...this way I can't look 10 times a day on GTP for news and just enjoy the trip
And hopefully see some good news when looking at GTP on November 7th. :D

To get off this topic slightly... I just looked at that official Red Bull blog about the X1... has anyone noticed it says:

"It’s the first and fastest car that players of the eagerly-awaited Gran Turismo 5 video game will drive."

It's the first car we will drive in the game...??? That seems pretty clear it's the first car we will drive.. I wonder if/how/why that might be the case.

Maybe a licence test... or like NFS most wanted an opening race?

Sorry if this is off topic, but I spotted this on Wikipedia. It's about PSN.

"In May 2009, Sony announced their intention to make the PlayStation Network an "open system". This change will facilitate the use of the PSN in devices other than the PlayStation 3 but no specific plans have yet been announced. Sony CEO, Howard Stringer said that the PSN has a lot of potential and that only having it available on the PlayStation 3 was limiting the scale of the service.[74]"

Since then, they have expanded it. It is a available on the PSP and via Internet by MyPSN.

So it isn't only me who does that? Comes here 10-100 times/day? My girlfriend thinks Iam kinda sick at this. But then again, my girlfriend lies to me(like Sony) so **** what she says.

Drive the X1 first? Why would they make us do that?

To show us what epic car we won't be able to drive again until we have a 100% game save?
I think it's the same reason as in Forza 3, just to show you what awesomeness lies ahead and to introduce some new effects like damage, day/night-cycle and weather maybe. :D
Since the X1 is premium, I'm eager to see it getting damaged.

Uh guys(and others) I don't know if this was known about. Or maybe they just have got it wrong... But I just read about the "Oslo motorshow" and in the article they say that the "game will have 1000 cars, but only 200 of them will have damage modeling due to time limits". Yeah that about "time limits" is funny cause they don't have any limit appearently.

But is this magazine missinformed? Or Am I missinformed? I though there were damage on all cars... For you who can read Swedish -

Mechanical damage will of course affect all cars, it's only the visual damage that is limited to premium cars. Standard cars will become scratched, dented and dirty (through mud and/or snow) though.

Every single car has a damge model. The premium cars, however, have more comprehensive visual damage.

Ok so at least they don't look 100% alright after loosing grip in 400km/h and banging into the wall.. That's at least better then nothing.

For a couple of reasons (if it's true). I think a lot of people don't know what they're working for in a racing games single player mode. If you drive this then you know what the ultimate goal is. Another reason would be because most people will probably never get to the point where they're able to purchase that car. So at the very least this gives them a taste of what it's like. And on some level, it will be a quick way to shut people up that claim that GT has no sense of speed. :P

Yeah. One of my less intelligent friends bought GT4. But he just complained about the speed. Of course, he never drove anything fast! He played maybe 4-5 hours. I think that is one of the things that makes GT into the special game it is. That you realy start low and then work your way up. All the way up, to the R8 and Minolta and all those super cars. Toyota GT One. YEAH!

I think that's super lame. I also doubt the X1 will be the 100% reward. It'll be hard to get, but usually PD chooses relatively obscure cars as rewards for the near unattainable achievements. The X1 is a big part of this game and most people will probably never make it to 100%

So there are quite a few people who look 10 times a day on GTP! That's relieving, I was afraid I was the only one obsessed with GT5! Well I definitely need a trip too... :)

Yeah and on top of all I'am unemployed at the moment and probably will be until I start my Engineering education next fall. So I got plenty of time beeing here when I don't play Bad Company 2 and listen to my girlfriends lies about everything.

Yeah I have a little money as it is now, but my last savings will go to GT5!
