So it looks pretty certain that the delayed release date announcement has been delayed but that doesn't mean the sky is falling in. The below was posted earlier on the Playstation EU blog, it might not mean anything but I'm hopeful there will be an update this week. If you don't agree feel free to go into meltdown!

It has regrettably been a quiet week on the blog, and that’s down to me finishing off a long, boring project behind the scenes. Rest assured, we’ll be back to all cylinders next week and I already have some posts lined up for next week that I know you’re not going to want to miss...

No! All the demos are old builds from an earlier time, like last year or earlier this year. It's probably been fixed and or was just an disc read malfunction with the PlayStation console.

Yeah. Of course things can happen with the console. It's not realy that unusual that it gets a little disc error when Iam playing games, and then screw things up for a while. So let's hold our thumbs that's what happened! Beside, aint those consoles on in a little cube for very long time? There might be some overheating issues then.. I guess

I think you can be absolutely certain if nothing is announced next week there isn't a chance GT5 is being released in 2010.

If alot of you are so disgusted and feel so deceived, then why are you still here? Why do you continue to check if you won't believe anything anymore? If you are officially convinced its not coming out this year (or in some rediculous cases, at all) and you can't trust what anyone says anymore, then doesn't constintly checking here for something you've apparently been "lied" to about contradictive?

Actually they said they expect to have a release date by the end of the month not that they would and that was later changed to "in the near future" The GT Awards seems like a likely time for them to announce it at this point.

I'd rather it got forgotten as soon as possible, the game needs to be making a lasting impression, not the freakin presentation.
Screw old school showbiz and slick ricks rambling about the Move yet again, just a date would suffice, keep the shiny lights and bling for Christmas.
