So only 3% of the entire GT5 budget was spent on the actual game. Nice. :dopey:

The GT5 budget was $60 million dollars not $60 billion. However, that's $60 million solely for producing the game. Making the millions of copies of the game that they need to will probably bump it up. Plus, you've got the TV ads and everything. The final cost just might hit $80 million, which is the amount allotted for the game.

Either way, GT5 is the second most expensive game ever made. The first, is GTA IV 'cause of all the music licenses.

Operation GT5.
60 million dollars, right there.
Chinese and Somali Pirates 'aint nuthin' to *WUTANG* with'.

@Supershouden so technically GT5 is the most expensive game ever made, because the dev dont make the music they just pay for it.

Which got me thinking, maybe that's why they use MCR for the title song, to save money, probably costs less than established hits, or songs from "hotter" artists.

You forgot Starcraft 2 in your little sequence

Yeah, the only list I could find is from February. So there could be a couple more additions to the list, including Starcraft 2. Although, I don't know what Blizzard would spend their money on to make it cost more than $80million.

EDIT: You guys should realize that you can't read sarcasm. It's impossible. So, if you write something sarcastically, expect people to take it seriously.

Yeah, but they were also working on WoW stuff and Diablo 3. And they don't have to pay for licenses. Plus all the BlizCons in the middle of production would have slowed things down a bit, as well.

If one is to assume GT5P, was just something they were able to put together while building GT5, and to assume that the 60 million included the develop GT5P. Then PD and Sony already made their money back from the sales of GT5P, Everything else is profit.

Nar the G logo stands for General. It's an age classification so it means a 5 year old can buy the game without parental permission.
Alright, Now about the box; wouldn't or should it have a 3D logo on it. Even on the cover of the Disc Case? I didn't see it on neither.

Too funny! Someone should photoshop a picture of a truck on a California highway with the contents spilled out after a rollover for the North American edition!

I was going to post a picture of a suspicious white Ford Bronco with GT5 copies falling out, but I figured it was too much work and I would probably get some stupid infraction for being funny

Or a 18-wheeler 9-wheeling about to tip a block from Gamestop with camped out GT5 goons and fiends looking by, not knowing wether to panic for the destruction of such precious and valuable cargo , or to celebrate potentially free looted copies!

GT5 needs to come this imagination is driving me nuts.

Hey guys, I have some info which could be a release date.

I just got back from a local department store (The Warehouse lol) where i caught up with an old friend who works as a local distributor for..... a certain website in NZ. After chatting awhile about different games i asked him if he knew anything about GT5, "such as a release date" i said. He smiled, (that "i knew you were going to ask that" smile) and told me only one thing, they are allowed to courier the game out on November 30, which confirmed my suspicions. This means the release date (for NZ at least) is probably either the 1st or 2nd of December, (as various websites are allowed in NZ by game companies to send the game out a day early to allow for couriering, i got GTA4 in 2008 a day early! lol)
