Are you talking about selling or shipping? Shipping 5 million for the first months sounds about right, but it'll take it forever to sell a million in Japan, if it ever happens, and the series appears to be in decline in America.

The vast majority will be sold in Europe.

Ship or sold makes no difference to PD.... ship means somebody paid for the copies... and no it won't take this game forever to sell a million in Japan 2 and a half 3 months tops. You are right tho, The majority will be sold in Europe.

After looking into it further make that 7 months... SW sales in Japan have been in a decline.

http://gthq.nl/en/home/news/387-gt5-komt-sneller-dan-we-denken this is where Jordon got the launch party details... it says confirmed but disclosed, does this mean it was actually confirmed by sony? and what does it mean by disclosed?

Sorry guys, I just don't want to rush into this to quick, I want to be 100% sure this launch party date is correct.

Actually it says
A confirmed, yet undisclosed source.

Meaning that they are not telling who.

Look, my comments are for France only. I agree 500k is very low for all of Europe, but more than enough if it is for France or even surrounding countries like Holland/Belgium etc.

Anyone knows how long it takes for a game to become sold, from shipping to store?

It varies greatly. There will be a big difference for a world-wide release. For example between first shipment sent to, say France and the final shipment to say, USA, there could be 3 weeks in between. All regions need to be fulfilled before sales begin.

Well, I would assume there are multiple BD printing plants around the world serving different regions.💡

Thats not necessarily true. I know PD wanted a worldwide release but the game could be released in say France at the end of the month and the release date for Australia be mid Dec.

Yes, but I was assuming the release schedule to stay within +/- 3 days. All I'm saying is that all shipments must be received before sales begin.

And yes there isn't some master BD factory as I made it sound. :ouch: Of course USA shipments and France shipments wouldn't share the same supplier.

Hopefully they do stick to the worldwide release plan though, no? Lots of angry posts will be made on here by the less privileged if not.
