I hope those notification are online only, cause it will get annoying soon.
Don't know about you guys, but I'm getting sick of that 370Z

I know that we had seen Tokyo many times, but this ,maybe,is the first time that we see Tokyo during Gt academy contest!!

It is the Spanish GT Academy, did you read the uploader`s comment? The translation of that comment is "2nd race cancelled due to disconnection from one of the players". The guy says "glitch" so in the conversation i have listened one guy had a disconnection and the race was repeated.

I'm pretty sure it's online only (also different, with nicknames and smaller notification boxes).
I couldn't care less of the AI overtaking another AI....unless races are really competitive offline.

Yes,it happened the same thing in the first round of gt academy finals in Rome(Tokyo)!!I was there and the guy who was losing the race won the the final race in the Ring(3round race)

I wonder what they are going to do with those Information EVENT_OVERTAKE things, they obviously are not final, but will probably be used...

that notice actually shows the players names in the Aussie Finals. Guess they were too lazy in the other countries...

I agree with you, but Sony announced at the CES that the 3DTVs will be available in Sony Stores in summer, which isnt a fixed date, but at least a time window which is realistic.

Sony intros 3D-capable STR-DN1010 A/V receiver
By Donald Melanson posted Feb 18th 2010 at 2:31PM
Sony's already introduced 3D TVs and 3D Blu-ray players, and it's now finally followed those up with a 3D-capable receiver for those who need to pass through 3D video while internally decoding high res audio. That model, the STR-DN1010, is naturally a 7.1 A/V receiver, and boasts 110 watts of power per channel, along with four HDMI ports (including one with Audio Return Channel plus three component), support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, upscaling of any video source to 1080p, support for Sony's S-AIR wireless system, and a Digital Media Port to accommodate iPod docks and other accessories, among other standard fare. Look for this one to land in March for $400, along with two other new non-3D models (the STR-DH710 and STR-DH510) that will run you $300 and $230.

Ok, HOLD ON!!

This is based on a gamespot FORUM post?!?

LOL, we have been had.. this is a old joke from gamefaqs where people acted like a insider by posting this "this post has been removed by (insert company name)" on random games who had a lot of hype but not a release date yet.

GTA4 springs to mind, even vice city had this joke.. nevermind this rumour, someone is having a laugh right now. ;)

I can't believe people actually fell for this. This has been a gamfaqs prank for years.

You know even after all this time. GT is still the only game I find myself actually watching the replays and enjoying it as much as playing it. Why? because the cars look so realistic and how they move and the cameras. It just has that extra something no one else has achieved even if they have better other things, on Console or PC

It's all about the cars

Bugs can fixed online with patches
This is often not true at all. Forza 2 did get many patches, in fact, the car physics were patched periodically to fix unfair advantage cars, though that caused a number of annoying leaderboard resets. However, they were never able to fix the problems with the livery editor, the garage crashing, the crashing in the auction house and a few other things.

With Forza 3, they were only halfway able to fix atrocious file handling issues, with photo and decal folders crawling, still don't have a decent public server system which worked fine in Forza 2, and still have hideous compression on images uploaded to the Forza site. Instead of fixing these things, they seem to be doing nothing but making more DLC.

Forza should be a HUGE warning sign that you need to get your game code right to START with, and not release buggy, poorly performing software, hoping you can fix things like magic later. Remember, modern PC software perform better when it's coded right from the start, and sometimes, patches need patches... :P

As for the Gamespot board entry, it could be a hoax. But I recall that our very own Amar had to pull a post he made, jumping the gun on something here. One guy saw it and made some kind of astonished post following before Amar deleted his, but I never did learn what it was about.

By the way, here's one more avid Gran Turismo replay watcher. ;) 👍

Yeah but if they fixed the problems then it would cut into making Forza 4! Which is going to be EVEN BETTER than Forza 3!!! Which FM3 should've been good in the first place:crazy:

To be honest Codemasters is at least equal to Gran Turismo.

not!

The cars in all Codies games look like crap. They don't even move realisticly
The colour palette is horrible and the excessive bloom is terrible

You would never pass off anything from them as something you might see on a TV broadcast

Just for reference Avatar DVD is expected in April, BUT, the 3D Version isn't going to be out till November if
http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/18/james-cameron-sees-avatar-on-blu-ray-3d-in-november-hdtv-manufa/ is significant to the PS3 being updated to support 3D.

I'd guess that date is to do with a broader selection of 3DTVs available, seeing as it's more to do with Panasonic than Sony. Also, a 3D release too close to the regular DVD and BR will hurt sales.

3DTVs start shipping in just over a month and a half (see below), and Sony have already said their line-up will be available this summer, so if the GT5 delay is only for 3D (and that's a big only), then this summer seems as good a time as any for release.

I watch the replays of almost all races I do, but my favourite is the ferrari event from prologue, I play it with a F40, then I race it again with a california, F430, 599 and even 512BB.

Ferrari + Suzuka replay = Win 👍

I can't wait to watch the nurburgring replays in GT5, 458 Italia at the ring, it will be one of sexiest replay combos in my opinion. Also, I'm lookin forward to drive the LFA, it's engine is porsche carrera-gt-like according to some reviews, I'm convinced it can beat the GTR on the ring if the right person is behind the wheel of course.

Hehe! I was being sarcastic, there were people complaining about the trees at Tokyo a while back now.

Can't say I've noticed the lack of texture filtering on Indy - you'd have thought it'd at least be anisotropic, anyway!

Whole game use billinear.Anisotropic use TONS of memory bandwith. At 60fps it's impossible on PS3.
As for Indy.Go through very first corner and go straight (forward not on left) - you will see the BIG tree from 90's.....BUT PREPARE! ;)))
(go right and forward)

TRD3 is Acceptable, for pc you can turn off the Reflections which is essential, their circuits look very good, but there is too much Sun Glare\Bloom and their wheels look like toilet paper rolls.

But i find Grid just terrible its like NFS for the spatially challenged.
