Question:
Has anyone done the WRC events yet? How do these work?
Please tell me its randomly generated point to point with co-driver reading out instructions!

Exhausted ... 02:03 AM ... yesterday was 06:00 AM ...
Finally S-License done, lvl 15.3ish

SPOILERS:

MAJOR SPOILERS COMMING UP, DON'T WANT TO RUIN YOUR LICENSE ENDING

DON'T READ ON IF YOU LIKE TO ... ah well here it comes

I got a Race Tuned S2000, but didn't unpack the car yet. To tired.
S Class was suprisingly easy to get at least bronze, some IA License tests were harder. Basicly all 1-Lap Battles on all the tracks featering cars from the Alfa Calzone Compicone .. something to the McLaren F1 on the final test. I would have guess Nürburgring to be the last test track. But ... Super Stage 5 :)
Seems like S is the last license. A announcer voice said: "Gratulations yada yada", and a message appeared "You have done all the licenses" "Now race to your hearts extend .. something".

Good night for today ...

Yes, you get a navigator voice, and the minimap is oddly in the middle of the screen and you can't move it, somehow ...
Random, don't think so. At least when you retry the same event it's the same track ... some of the WRC tracks had graphics bugs, flickering grounds, wired tree shadows like popping up much to late. Good shadow texture, detailed, but coming in to late, very very noticeable and near popup effect.
On the last video why do the shadows disappear at 1:24?
Exactly that effect, just in front of you. In the fast race you normally don't watch much for popup effects far away, but they are sometimes so close that you notice "something" instantly changes. Could not tell what going 300 in the viper but very noticable.
Well I can live with some buggy shadows, does not bother me that much.

Good night :)

PS: Point to Point in WRC

This may be a stupid question, but for Formula 1, will there be a "Grand Prix" or is it just like a 1-car on track race.

I have looked over YouTube and only found videos of 1-car on a track on the prologue unfortunately as this will be a key factor whether I buy F1 2010 or GT5.

I saw an article questioning if GT5 would steal F1 2010 players so there must be something big in it.

Thanks for the info! Not sure if I like the sound of the minimap :S Is it point to point or Circuit? Do you unlock Point to Point for the Course Creator.

If you've already gone, thankyou and good night :)

EDIT: Thanks for the info in your edit :D Night dude.

Cheers aigners!

Personally I aint bothered about the spoilers. They're not spoilers for me anyway. I'll enjoy the ride all the way through from start/stop to Super Stage 5...
...and beyond.

Anyway, online is gonna be frigging great! Roll on Wednesday.

Ive asked before and looked around, sorry if its a stupid question, but what about wheel width, size and tire pressure? Tuning camber and rebound rates are there and so on, but what about your tire psi? Contact patch, overall grip, flex and what-not is in a large way influenced by your wheel width/size, as well as tire size and pressure. I would like to know more and Im surprised its not a bigger topic. Sorry if I came off as ignorant.

On a somewhat unrelated note, imagine the traffic this site is going to have just before launch, after launch, and when the review is posted...

Something I would like to know more about too. I really liked Forzas telemetry screens depicting it.

Now that we cleared the AI issue, what about damage?
I know we've seen a few damage shots but what about MECHANICAL damage. I've haven't seen anything about it. Maybe it's just me not constantly looking at every message in every thread ....
What's the verdict?
On or off in arcade mode? If on, good or bad?
What about career mode?..... I can't hear any weird noises, I can't see any steering or shifting problem.

Please talk to me

after playing more than 7 hour, i did come up with point which are good and bad. i have that i'm pretty disappointed by the standard cars,it's are poorly done and have no interior view. it's more like "normal car=gt5 cars" and "standard cars=gt4 cars", but the game is still great and worth it.
But 6 six years after gt4, i don't understand why those cars don't deserve a better treatment.
an another point is that the game slowed up sometimes (i'll try to play in 720p to see if there really an impact on perfomance)
on the other hand there's good thing like having three adjustment setting in interior view you have "large, narrow and very narrow", playing with my g25 on SS5 and SS7 with the gallardo is very thrilling!!!!
the other thing i'm really happy about is the track editor i tried it with the toscana landscape, it me gives a couple of exiting track.
i'll will buy the ps eye to see how head tracking works.
hope, that all for me have a good night

It's gets dark in race time (2 laps). Longer races will probably take longer to transition.

I wouldn't understand that logic...

If i.e. I want to drive 2 laps in daylight it shouldnt get dark on these "time-tracks".

The only explanation which would make sense is that this race in the video was a special "event-race" / "license-test" or such which is unique ?

May I ask which field of view you play with? Do you use the largest setting or the most narrow?

Well you wouldn't pick the day night version. Just select normal Le Mans circuit.

But for the Nürburgring there aren't different kinds of the track...

I hope that soon someone tells us this is adjustable ! Anything else wouldn't ... be ... good...

In Race Driver Grid (i know arcade...)it happens the same thing cause if you put 24 hs race you can not notice the transition but if you put 3 laps races or 2 like in this video automatically makes that the time change as the 24Hs race in those laps. (it is like a 24Hs race resume in 2 laps.
In games such rFactor or GTR series you can choose what kind of transition do you like...and choose time of the day too (i saw that in one video of GT5 with change time of the day from 6:00 am to 18:00 pm on tracks with time changes)and for example in Rfactor you can choose 2 laps races with real time change or % changes like we saw here in "le sarthe".
I don´t know how it works in GT5 but at least we can choose the time in some races but i don´t know if we can change "real time change" or "%".(i guess is automatic)👍
