Question;

People have stated you can't change the HUD other than making the map appear or not. Well here is a screenshot from a replay with a different HUD. Is this for replay only because I prefer this (GT4 style) to the bar thing that runs across the bottom.

The one I prefer but have only seen in replays;

The only one I've seen during actual gameplay in bumper cam;

I think you could change between analog and digital in GT4?

Seems to be the only difference between those screenshots. All the information is the same...

Oh I don't remember doing that. Yeah I know the information is the same but the tachometer in the middle and actually being gauge shaped is better to me than a bar way down on the right lol.

*sigh* I suppose HUD is the only thing i don't like about GT5 atm, except intro music of course... based on the info i've seen at least.
I wish there was an option to turn some useless info... like those AI racers names and best lap time.

The HUD changes depending on what view you are using. Bumper cam uses the one with speedometer and rev counter as dials, the rest uses the second example.

Oh maybe it's me mixing up my videos then. I could have sworn I saw a guy driving in bumper cam and it was the long bar looking one.

Thanks for clarifying!

anyone confirm if the dlc cars will be available right away for free or will you have to purchase the car when u get enough credits ?

Are you talking about DLC cars as in extra cars that we can download from the PS store?If that is what you mean then i don't think this has been confirmed 100% either way.If you're talking about the ''Stealth" cars you get a code from whomever you pre-ordered the game from and download it like that.Could you clarify what you meant?

You can't change the HUD.
Those 2 are different because the camera angles chosen are different. One is bumper and the other is hood cam.

Does anyone know if Wal-Mart will be stocking the collector's edition in-store or just the standard edition? At first I was okay with the standard. But the more I think about it, the more I want the collector's edition, but it appears that all of the online pre-orders have been sold out everywhere.

i meant like, preorder dlc cars, can use them right away or do i have to purchase them in game to race with them.

What exactly transfers to GT5 from GT PSP? Does it unlock cars for arcade mode that I have in my GT PSP garage? Just wondering so I know whether or not to play a lot of GT PSP before Wednesday.;)

I am pretty sure you can use them straight away but i would think that they are only usable in arcade mode.I may be wrong,someone else care to elaborate?

Too much crap on the hud.

I could do without G meter, opponent list, lap and position. Makes you pay attention more i find. GT4s hud options were good enough, when you overtook or were overtaken, the Position popped up, when you completed a lap, Lap popped up.

I do like the 'digital' layout but i find the analog tachometer much more accurate and intuitive.

It's notlike were asking for anything extra, just the abitlity to remove clutter.

@bradkinder The PSP cars go into Portable Garage in Arcade mode. All PSP cars can be imported to Portable Garage.

Totally reasonable. Most games have this option, it shouldn't be an issue.

Best bet is to call your local store. Which I may do if the Gamestop I preordered from isn't doing a midnight launch.:nervous:

asked at my Gamestop location, (Greater Seattle, Washington)
They said they are on for a midnight release!👍👍

I'm ready for this to drop. 2 days, just got my fanatec setup this last friday!
Cant wait:scared:

If you have two of the same car in GT PSP, does it transfer them both? I mean, do they go to the PSP garage as individual cars, with the psp settings and color, or do the GT PSP cars you have just unlock the same models in GT5's PSP garage as selectable (in any color, un-modified)?

So, cars in the PSP garage can be used in all arcade modes? Single player and two-player?

I want to know if I should play GT PSP as much as I can before wednesday.:dopey: I'd rather not, since I hate it:crazy:... but completion in GT5 is worth it.:D

If I remember correctly, that in GT4, when you were driving with the bumper cam, you had to pause the game and press select and it would change the bar type tachometer to the gauge type tach... It was a start of race ritual cuz I hated the bar type tach!

I guess I will call on Tuesday to confirm. I will still be happy to have a copy of GT5, but I will feel a little disappointed that I didn't just get the CE while I was at it.

For the hell of it I went on Sonystyle. For the collector's edition, it says find local or online. There are NONE within 100 miles of my home avaliable. You could try this site to see if any one near you has it. I even tryed Cleveland, nothing. So I typed in 90210 and 4 stores came up, since nothing came up for my area I thought there was something wrong. So I guess the Collector's Edition has done quite well. I like it.👍:):dopey:

Hmm, none found. Quite concerning.

Sorry if this has already been covered but does the data from GT prologue transfer over to GT mode or can those cars only be used in arcade mode???

One thing I havn't seen is the addition of AI racers on the course marker. Does anyone have any footage of this. Ive been looking for a while and can't seem to find evidence.

If AI racers are on course maker, I believe that it then will be even better! Maybe not that big of a deal but I would like to know.

Do any of you guys know where I can get a official clean printable list of all the cars available in the game? I checked granturismo.com and couldnt find any thing.

Thanks.
