lol, not your fault.

But hey, think of it as more money to spend on your cockpit, if you do have one. Chilicoke's adapters with MOMO steerings are a must for super-hardcore gamers.
 
I am rather disappointed with GT5.

Basically, the premium cars and tracks are the game! All the rest of the crap is making up numbers.

I have found the Non premium cars to look bland, as well as the tracks.

You can't use a standard car in photomode, like WTF!!

Damage is pretty awful, I mean, glass smashing, well it don't smash, it crumbles like a door I guess.

There is just some odd things that really ruin my experience thus far.

At the moment..

If you are today in Madrid, Spain, and you go to the Game store in Preciados street at 20h, Kazunori Yamauchi will sign your Collectors Edition, and that will cost, just during the event, the same as the regular edition. Also, six tickets for the next day's presentation will be raffled.

Your opinion which Is fair enough but you do know that there is no such thing as standard tracks.
 
Just got back from a GT5 event in San Francisco called race through the bay. I was one of the participants in the event. At the after there was tons of free GT5 related stuff(three different keychains, Gran Turismo 5 ps3 cover and lots of other things. One of the keychains is the one that you get in the collectors edition. Had lots of drinks, played GT5 with a DFGT(not too impressed with that wheel) and talked to lots of people from IGN and 1UP. I was by people at IGN that reviews would be up on wednesday and the IGN office in America just got the game on Thursday. The person who is reviewing it has had if for "quite a while" and the review is coming from there UK office. Also some people from sony told a few of the other contestants we will all be receiving free copies of GT5 in the mail. Oh and they were playing full builds not demos. I know because I played a course I created in course maker. Oh and there is a playable full build of GT5 at the Gamestop on Powell St. in San Francisco.
 
:grumpy:I called my local EB Games today to see if they were opening at midnight tommorrow and was told no not enough interest. This is the last time I pre-order from them,$300 and I have to wait until 9am sucks.:grumpy:

Same problem here in Brisbane with EB, Apparently there pre-order sales have been "up the creek, without a paddle" All staff have been told to push pre-order sales of GT5.

Well its all falling into place for me now. Heading to Dick Smith to pick up my DFGT tomorrow, then heading to EB for my collectors ed on thurs. Swaped my day shift for an overnight on thurs so ill get a whole day in before I have to start. Should be a good few years!
 
Again, Australians, if you want a midnight release, hit up your nearest K-Mart. They're 24 Hours.

They won't sell the game till you til 12:30, but whatever.


I have to wait till Thursday afternoon for mine. Poo.

Qld doesn't have any 24hr Kmarts as far as I'm aware.

I hope someone has the answer to this question, I ordered signature edition as part of the package was the chance to win a real life SLS AMG. I have now watched two unboxing vids but there was no mention of an entry form or any such thing, is this won trough an on-line race? or what is the procedure

Not 100% on this one, but I think the card with the code is in the wallet.

This guy told me that face tracking works like the analog stick. I'm a bit disappointed :( I expected more lateral view, up and down, back and forth....
 
Hey guys, I know this thread is for the discussion of news but i didnt want to create a thread for this simple question.

I'm used to playing my Xbox 360 and on that you can Private Chat or Party Chat

Now me and a few friends have went and bought the official Sony PS3 headsets so we can chat while playing but will we be able to?

I mean is there a chat function whether it be in-game or on the console? (excluding playing online as we will be playing GT-Life when we want to chat).

Basically I want to be chatting to my buddys while playing - i cant imagine playing without doing that, its like going back to the dark ages pre - xbox 360
 
Anyone that has the game seen endurance races yet ? I turned lvl 20 A-Spec yesterday, opened extreme, and to my suprise I did not see any endurance races. Maybe I was just to sleepy to notice ... did anyone see any yet ?

Yep for those 18 or over and resident in a participating country, the chance to win a real-life Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG ... in a comp like no other etc ...

The comp code is in the wallet ... the comp details are still TBA but given this was one the selling points for SE - expect see some detail coming out from launch event in Spain.

it enabled dynamic weather and add online experience.

At first look it seems it fix some shadow problems, add a new driving aid, afford to install more data on your HD, up to 8 Gb

Got it, but didn't receive any pre-order bonus-unlock for the mazda.. Is it automaticly installed? BTW the install will take about 45 min, but it states "11 minutes left" all the time... frustrating :S

That is a bit of a dissapointment, but then again it might be a horrible thing to configure if you wouldnt be sitting dead on in front of the TV/camera. I hope that it is at least a little bit smoother than using the analogue stick, since it has this auto-snap-to-center thing going on (at least it had in Prologue)
