1) What is the "Level x" about? Do we earn experience as we race or what? I thought that was only in B-Spec mode.

If you look at the trophy list, you receive a silver trohpy for reaching level 40 in both B and A-Spec.

And I can't help you with #2. :)

I have stopped watching videos of the game that people are posting all over the internet because, at long last, I'm just over 24 hrs from having GT5 in my hands. This brings back memories of February 2005!
 
Wish me luck on Wednesday guys. There's supposed to be about 6" of snow by then...and it's my first time driving on snow. But, luckily, the mall is only 2 miles away, and I just plan on getting there, picking up game and strategy guide and coming home. Still...most accidents happen within 20 miles from home. I just hope I survive so I can come home and warm up with some GT5 action.

Just drive smooth and steady and you'll be fine. I hope it doesn't take too long to get home and play though:nervous:

I was just informed by a sales assistant in Game, that Australia is definately NOT getting a GT5 signature edition here! Only the standard and collectors editions. I told him i had the Sig edition on preorder at JB hifi and he continued to tell me this was rubbish, as there is no SIG edition made for us?
Can someone please shed some light?
 
My Gran Turismo just updated, 133mb download.

online is working, jaggies seem to be lessened but the draw distance of trees is still looking iffy.

I just went to "my lounge" and the disk is doing an install, 17 minutes it says....so lets see what my lounge is, seems big?

when I went online I received 5 museum cars, with interesting info on them.

hope to race you all soon!

As long as you don't plan on speeding and stay alert driving in snow isn't too particularly bad. If the roads become dangerous then I would just wait. I know you really want to play the game but risking your life isn't worth it if the worst comes. Good luck, hope the weather somehow changes.

P.S. A two hour drive in ONE direction? Wow I give you a lot of credit. I would go crazy to drive 4 hours.

:dunce: I meant two miles, not 2 hours. If it was 2 hours, there's no way I would drive that far in this weather. I think a short 2 mile cruise will be fine, though.

Don't know about OZ but don't necessarily believe the shop assistent, as you can see i'm in South Africa and i'm picking my signature edition up tomorrow, so I don't see why you guys should Not get it, good luck mate

The guy sounds like a complete tool - here in New Zealand you can still order the Signature edition at some places, it's definately avaliable here so I'm sure it will be in Australia aswell.

Yes I will haha. Because if I fall asleep behind the wheel in GT I don't have to pay insurance for crashing the car and I won't run the risk of killing someone. That's usually a nice thing to not go to jail :sly:

Nope, he's Bsing you. Every GAME within my region is selling Signature Edition. I'm in Western Sydney BTW.

He has no Idea. We have the Signature Ed,and I have recieved a call from JB saying that it will be available to be picked up on the 25th. EB also have it listed as well. If their staff have no idea about a big release like this I wouldn't go near them in the future.

When you get it you should go to the store and give him a look at this fabled signature edition.

Of course even the countdown they have would be wrong because that doesn't even count down to midnight here...

There are clearly not enough copies in existence for all those who ordered the game.
We have had the banking collapse that shufled virtual money around eventually to nowhere. Is this the beginning of the game suppliers crash? I think virtual stock quantities of GT5 have been spinning around the globe.
There has been trading in "Toxic Turismos". Deals that can never be resolved. The tyre has burst. The G25 steering wheel has come off in the hands at 200mph.

Me too. But, it doesn't really matter 'cause I've gots to install it and everything. Shouldn't be too bad. It's supposed to be bitterly cold Wednesday, though. Not even supposed to get out of the single digits.

That's some rough weather. You can have it:) It's normally like that here. Not bad so far this year though. I am getting a DFGT tomorrow,then my Gamestop pre-order on Wednesday:tup:

Starting from 22 November. People in Estonia can buy GT5 in ON OFF stores.
I got mine yesterday. Looks good, feels good, sounds good!

with GT5 only hours away I took a glance at the first few pages... we've come a long way. After reading those first few posts its hard to believe it will be in my hands in a few hours... feeling slightly emotional
