New seasonal events are available now, the last one is 5 laps in Rome with the Citroen WRC, 1.500.000cr and 120.000exp! Yes!

Edit: I've beaten it now, it was too easy!! I got 1st like on lap 3, and I'm not a fast driver. But the cr. and exp. earnt felt really sweet.

I'm going for another event, 5 laps in Trial Mountain (reverse) in a Ford GT '06. Engine tuning is allowed as well as every type of tires. Prize for a victory: 1.000.000cr and 90.000exp.

Its amazing ! 5.5 million copies in only 6 (or maybe 5) weeks for a difficult simulation game with 84/100 rating is AMAZING !!! :drool:
for example GT4 sold 11 million and it had +120 PS2s & better reviews !

I'll agree that it's a sim, but it isn't anywhere near hard.

TC settings can't be changed in normal A-spec races or Online. Basically at all.

When did this happen? I did it using my DFP during the Dream Car Championship last night...er this morning, technically.
 
A while ago, the option has been grayed out since or around the update.

Anybody know why the Give to Friend option is grayed out in my account? I get on another account and it's not grayed but it doesn't have the car I want to gift.

Neither of these things are grayed out for me, or weren't as of 12 hours ago.

1) Are you sure you're connected to the Internet?
2) Have you tried turning it off and on again (the PS3 and the Internet)?

In other news, those seasonal events are easy, especially compared to last weeks, maybe PD took some complaints? Although 1,200,000 XP is still ridiculous for one event.

Which is EXACTLY where I got the idea from.
After a bit of research, it apparently fixes 90% of all computer related problems!

I found those seasonal events harder than last time.
I was pleased about that too!

EDIT: Never realised that there was a third set of Seasonal Events, I was comparing the 2nd seasonal event to the 1st seasonal event.

Have any of you guys tried them with God mode (skid recovery force) off?

I have not had time to try the new events yet but I would hope they are difficult with God mode off. I think the last events were designed to be played with God mode. I loved the challenge they offered, it has been the highlight of my GT5 experience so far but I think seasonal events should be very hard in a standard car with no assists, this makes it fun for people like me but also make it easy for those who just want the credits and XP by upgrading the car and/or turning God mode on.

Personally I hate turning on skid recovery force because the car does not feel realistic.

Yes to both, checked and functioning. Might it be that lower level players can't send cars now? The account is at level 6.
 
TCS control on the DFGT is working fine, for the record. Used it multiple times today when switching between all the new cars for the new seasonals to turn off TCS over and over again.

You need to use full stock cars, with just oil refreshments and sports hard tires.

The sports hard tires are the most important if you wanna have a fight.
Ignore the race tires... Golded all three without the most stupid forzaish option, Skid recovery... You want to avoid this option...
 
Skid recovery feels like god himself is on the tires. I did nascar seasonal event with it on and i went full throttle around almost every turn and nothing happened. It was so boring because i was in first by the end of the first lap. Skid recovery is crazy man, if your a Sim racer you shouldn't even look at that option
