nope, it's 16 max, positive.
Also the XMB chat has the same limitation of max 16 participants.
Coincidence or system limitataion?

Neither, 16 is an efficient number because it's a power of 2, that's why they both use it. But I've seen games with 24 online (Battlefield BC2)

And it actually dealt with them fine, I beta tested on it and the connection was great it was so ashame the gameplay was alwful and the maps had holes in them.

I don't have the game unfortunately.. Been meaning to get it but never got round to it 👎

Anyone know anything about what @GTPlanetNews just tweeted?

"Heading to an appointment at McLaren headquarters in Woking today. This should be fun. :)"

Interesting...

If anything does ever come out don't expect to hear about from Sony.

Come to :gtpflag: to find out all the juicy tidbits of info.

Or you can do what Kaz thinks everyone that has GT5 would do...Just log in to twitter!

Well, up until the catastrophe in Japan, GT5 got some nice updates that showed to me that they were listening to the fans.

It depends on how you look at it. Patch 1.0.6 was definitely going in the right direction. Their rush to patch the money cheats (1.0.7+1.0.8) instead of fixing the bugs and shortcomings is what I was referring to. They seem to selectively listen and prioritize issues.

I think we all need to be patient with patches ... Japan and its people have far more important things to do right now , i for one dont expect a patch anytime soon

I agree, give them some time, there are after all some things that are more important than a game. And I'm enjoying the game plenty enough as it is.

I hope this doesn't sound stupid but it proves a point- Firefox 4 came out somewhere around 24 hours ago.

New York City downloaded 40,000 copies.
Tokyo downloaded 90,000 copies.

They have computers, they have internet connections, PD even said on the disaster day from his twitter that PD was OK. They've probably had 1 or 2 days off, and then back to work.

Nothing really interesting as Tokyo wasn't affected by the quake. What I do know is that the cellphone networks in Japan are mostly wonky at best. Have been trying to contact people way south of the disaster zone that weren't affected at all and it's still luck of the draw whether we can connect or not.
PD have far bigger things to worry about than a weekly update that most people couldn't care less about anyway.

^ agree.

Yea the only thing my GF(lives in Yokohama) talked about was alot of tremors in Tokyo/Yokohama//Chiba etc...other then that, Tokyo was not majorly affected, pretty much, apart from some seriously swaying skyscrapers in shinjuku and roppongi and other high rise locations around tokyo, Also Tokyo tower bending at the top...i really hope it does not happen next year when i move down there. apart from that, The quake really never effected Tokyo, In fact, Tokyo was taken off the rolling black out procedure, but Yokohama and other close by cities had no choice, So Kaz and his team are fine. unless they lost relatives in Sendai. that could also be a case.
