With the original upload being taken down, my guess is Sony asked him to remove it, but we already screwed up their GDC trailer I think.

I just posted this in the other thread, but I'll do it here too as to keep everyone informed:

It was taken down because the original uploader stated on on Neogaf that he would be taking it down soon. Looks like he did.

Perhaps I am being a little hopeful here, but the original SSR11 did have such elevation changes.

Indeed. It is, as far as I can tell, the entrance (or exit, on the reverse track) to the tunnel section underneath the main straight on the original SSR11.

Is anyone else wondering, if night racing on every track is allegedly possible in GT5, why PD is choosing the one that always has been a night course only to showcase it?

I mean, yes, we know they like to be secretive about pretty much anything, but please...

You know, if you overdo it, excitement turns to disappointment. Which I feel has happened to many a hardcore fan.

If I know PD, there will not be night racing the way everyone assumes. There will be SSR5, and it will be dark as always, and that's it.
But they're be able to advertise "night racing", and gullible fools will assume that means on all tracks.
And there will probably be one or two tracks with rain as a possibillity, and through that they'll advertise "dynamic weather".
Just like through 600 Skylines they advertise 1,000+ cars.:dunce:

It's all BS - the things GT has always been good at it will be good at, the things it's always lacked it will still lack.

Good things are graphics, physics, career mode
Bad things are options, online play, supercar selection.

Everything else is in the air, but I will admit the supercar selection has improved, though I do believe they'll be missing some very good ones still.

Has anybody noticed that on every GT game there is at least a few races where, no matter how hard you tune your car, there is always one AI car that pulls so far ahead of everything else that it's near impossible to catch? This is one of the first things that PD needs to sort out.

Yeah that's always annoying that is. That needs to be addressed and hopefully already has been.

There's only one way to fix this...qualify session....

Yeah that's for sure. I've always wanted that. Most of all for the Enduros and now that there's a grid of between 12 and 16 cars Qualifying sessions are a must have feature.

I could be wrong but I seem to have the idea that this was caused by the player choosing an inappropriately powerful/fast car for the event and that by choosing a more appropriate car there would be a more even field of cpu cars. Like I siad though, I could be wrong or thinking of a different game.

Well there were a couple of really hard races on Prologue where you had to choose a specific car. The difficulty encouraged the player to cut corners and use standard physics.

If the player has to resort to such means I think they made it too difficult.

That blinking F40 race where you had to beat the Nissan GTR Black Mask from last to 1st in 1 lap. I hated that one....many many many times.

You do know that GT4 already has Qualifying Session in most of the races. Although it's called Practice, it's essentially for grid placement (ie; Qualifying Round). While Practicing (aka Qualifying), you get an timing indication at the end/beginning of each lap of how far ahead/behind you are to the leading AI car. You can also return to the pit, look at your current grid placement, modify your car's setup and attempt another run (by Practicing again).

I had never noticed that..!!

Only for championship races, not single races

Noticed sth. while watching the trailer for the 6th time or so, at exactely 1:37 when the Citroen Rally Car hits the Subaru, it looks to me at least, that the Citroen is damaged too, of course at the place, where it had contact with the Subaru, I mean the right headlight, not sure though...what do you think guys?

Me too o.o

that video is named "intro" on YouTube.. interesting. If that is the intro then the game is obviously being released soon. But then again it could just be that they decided to name the video intro for some strange reason.

All those stupid "Overtaking" missions were a pain in the 🤬. However, the first two ones were quite easy (One was in Daytona Oval and the other in HSR, both were done with a Honda Integra).

Here's hoping a qualification system just like GT1, available for each race and with bonus cash for getting it.

Sadly, I vote for the later :(. It's the most realistic option.... Though it would make sense it was the actual intro, since the music is very similar to that one in GTPSP intro, it heavily features the car in the front cover, and has a big "5". Only time can tell...or Amar...

They just called it that. The original video (which the person downloaded, zoomed in and re-uploaded) wasn't called an intro if I remember correctly.

To get a lot of hits for example....
and I suppose that nobody else beside me sees the damaged Citroen lol oh well...

Hi CarBastard, congrats to Premium^^ but now on topic: what's with Amar by the way, I heard he left Gtplanet? is that true?

I'm trying to my friend, but the exact moment you describe happens so fast I haven't been able to pause the video on the spot and have a good look. Perhaps if you took a capture of the exact moment and show it to us, we'd be able to discuss it :).

EDIT: This is as close as I could get Alex ;):

I guess we'll have to wait 'til there's an HD version of the video because it's very hard to see. However, I believe that there's a rear bumper falling off, there's a patch of something on the Citroen's hood, and the C4 seems a bit "bent" around the front end.
