E3 and TGS will likely be the source of much more exciting news - like a clarification on the 20/70 tracks, damage, diurnal cycles, weather and, of course, a frickin' release date.
Now there is a word one doesn't hear everyday. :dopey:

I had to look it up and got this answer:
diurnal: active by day; as opposed to nocturnal

Indeed. Diurnal cycle just means anything that happens on 24hr cycle - like day and night :D

Wait, I mean *shakes* All signs point to yes.

Soon

that made me laugh. Soon alright.. like one year isn't a very long time to the Japanese.

I've read the last 20 odd pages and it's nice to hear that a car is making a debut to the GT series HOWEVER the most concerning thing it is that Famine initially mentioned TGS.

Now call me old fashioned or whatever but that at least signifies the release date is at least no sooner than September. We know the game has been delayed...and people have been speculating a November release based upon the christmas/holiday season...but I always thought it would be delayed for a few months, not half a year, and be released in the summer.

For me this is bad news. Consider me angry.

Famine
A simple mis-speak.
All these games fairs tend to merge
Into one big fail.

Consider your anger salved.

I have no information about a release date, nor when any information is released by Sony/PD. I meant to say one game fair abbrevation, but said another by mistake. No significance should be attached.

It is quite unreal the fuzz this one car can make in the forums. The dude only knows that one specific car will be in the game :D

This shows how much thirsty we are, and no there are no news in the horizon to refresh our hopes.

I've been hunting the net for news, but there's nothing new to show. :(

Its not really a news but i was reading ps blog , and found this:

Hi Stephanie.

There are a lot of us GT fans over at the forums, and we’d love to have you come participate there. We really like the communication, and would be very happy to have you join us on the race track sometime as well.

This broadcast type of information is great for the blog, but those of us trying to be active in the online community, that is building around GT, feel that the most interested fans are the least appreciated. Maybe that’s not the right wording, but we feel some of our concerns and questions have gone unaddressed, even though those issues wouldn’t spoil info about GT5. A lot of what we would like to discuss relates to Prologue and GT4, and just the GT formula as a whole.

Having an active employee in the forums would do wonders for PD’s image with the more hardcore gamers out there, who are familiar with the way other online games have their communities taken care of. If everyone there is too busy, I can work cheap. I’ve done a pretty decent job manning the forums on my own time, and I’ve earned the most Kudos there. I’m a fan of the series, an devoted volounteer for our league and a pioneer of racing events in my own right.

Not sure if this has been posted up before (search turned up nothing though), but it seems that bestbuy claim 3d firmware arrives in July:

Last week reports surfaced that the upcoming PS3 3D Firmware update would arrive in June, and today retailer Best Buy has let slip the date of July.

Sony has previously confirmed that a simple PS3 Firmware update is all that is required to make the PlayStation 3 system compatible with 3D gaming.

Unfortunately, no specific timeframe was ever given for the anticipated patch until today.

To quote: "On a 3D FAQ page, Best Buy has given the first solid timeframe for the PS3 3D patch.

Clicking on the first tab of this page will reveal the following tidbit:

To watch 3D Blu-ray Discs, you’ll need to add a 3D-ready Blu-ray player (or update your PS3 with the appropriate firmware when it becomes available in July).

Yup, that’s right. Best Buy seems to have let the cat slip a bit early; either mistakenly or intentionally."

Hey, I resemble that author.:dopey:

Now, if you look at either of the top two pics there, and look where the edge of the radiator grille meets the bumper at the right hand side (left side is behind rope) you'll notice the normals shading error.
I see just tow nice blonde girl,I don't notice anything else!!:sly:

GTP isn't mentioned anywhere in that post/reply. I think she meant the official GT forums, which is common knowledge.

Note how the car lands unevenly from the jump - assuming it's right hand drive, then the weight of the driver is there :)

In the recent "night" trailer, the Esprit lands unevenly to left

Although really, the demo I spent several minutes just came across a bug (unfortunately I could not photograph it) you see at a speed of 150 -160 km / h on a straight road (find us at the finish) I became Auto prance like an American dragster.

Review for yourself:

It looks like he is driving with the D-Pad, but does anyone know what he means by the bug? The only thing I could think of was the Spoiler coming up at the back, but that appears to happen around 100km/h?

I think it's something he didn't film, that happened on the long straight at the end of the lap.

'Auto prance like an American dragster'? front end bouncing around?

**** TGS. Yes, I said it.

E3 should be IT. I just want all the facts there. I don't mind even if some secrets remain. And I'm sure we won't get 100% until we play the game ourselves, but I expect 95% of the information to be revealed in June. September, at TGS, they should just announce a PSN demo and maybe a final trailer.
