That's nothing new, really. The drivers in GT5P had a suit matching each manufacturer too.

Not with the logo like that. We have the GT logo in the middle on the GT5P suits, he had the Lambo logo, so maybe GT5 will have different suit layout, or the ability to edit them.

Well, after a quick look the suit appears to be same in GT5 Prologue, just different manufacturer logos (obviously) and colours. Although, as you can see in the screenshot you posted, the Ferrari race suits have Gran Turismo logos, rather than the Ferrari emblem.

When I first saw that sign on the racing suit I thought GT was hyping up the fact that they had finally gotten Ferrari on board after all these years.

Since Ferrari is one of the most esteemed car manufacturers, and GT is the premiere driving game, it would make some sense to link the two together, as if that they are both of the same quality and at the top of their respective fields :)

I wonder if we can race general races as specific drivers and then eventually once we get further in the 'career' we will be able to become our own 'driver' and change the way he looks? Because we have of course 'trained' him to drive much like the b spec driver

Alright, I tried solving this by Private Message, but since dave_sz refuses to apologise despite the evidence in front of him, and since I was publicly insulted, I must now make this public. I presented dave_sz with these three links, and I could probably find more, proving each engine sound in GT4 was individually modelled, even if through GT4's sound engine.
Read about the vehicle sounds in "overview":
Link

Now look in the 2nd paragraph under the 3rd picture of this old-school review, even though it's technically for GT4 Prologue:
Link

Now read the third paragraph under the "Real Driving" heading in this review of GT4:

He refused to apologise for making a public mockery of me, and doesn't believe three sources, 2 of which are official. I want to clear my name by proving this, and also show how ignorant and rude dave_sz has been to me. That is all.

GT5's engine sounds may not be the greatest sounding in all of gaming land, but they are more accurate, since each one is idependently modelled. Every other game will just say "Right, it's a V6, insert generic V6 engine note here".

Uhh, you couldn't be more wrong!:ouch: GT is the prime example of using either same sample for multiple cars, or even worse, wrong engine sounds on some cars!(ie. V6 sound on a V12 car and similar crap) 👎

Really? Every single car is different? I would be willing to bet you that many of the cars share the same sounds, albeit, modified by PD.
I bet you some nissans share engine notes, same for hondas, toyotas, ferraris.

I very highly doubt it. To YOU they may sound similar because they're from the same engine family, but they were all individually modelled.

You keep believing that.

@Paulie: Sound is so subjective, I wouldn't let "fire-and-forget" forum members get to you. Most of us can tell when a post is meaningful or not.

Also,
THAT LAMBO VID was awesome, and he was *really* pushing it to the edge.

that Gallardo looks unfinished - no paddles? Steering wheels looks strange
Good spot. It's funny that people were complaining that FM3 & NFS:Shift drivers were shifting with the wheel even though the paddle shifts are stationary, & yet, I'm watching GT5 do the same thing.

BTW, spoiler isn't coming up on the car either.

look at 1.40 in the vid
this shifting doesnt look normal i think i mean he move the hand than just on finger !?!?
at 0.55 you can cleraly see him shifting an this looks normal

Since when had the Gallardo a moving spoiler?

The music INSTANTLY killed it for me. 👎

I know,so many people add music to their vids and i don`t understand why? :scared: I want to hear in this vid a V10 lambo straining through the gears to 8000rpm (and all of the other cars naturally). Not a rendition of what appears to be STAR WARS music :ouch:

Just like the 5.0 model, the Gallardo (along with the Murcielago & the Reventon) have a rear spoiler that arises at 80Mph.

Well, given that the videos were filmed off the screen in a very noisy hall of some sort, you can't hear much of the game anyway. Anything you could hear would not reflect the actual sound in any way, so before people jump on the "the sound has gotten much better/worse!" abdwagon again, dubbing over some music is the better solution.

Is that a white enzo in the vid, it doesn't really fit the car...

Yes it is, i wouldn't choose a white one myself either, although i'm glad to see there probably gonna be more colour options than just red.
I'll have mine in Blu Scuro Dino please....

Yeah, and it pushed the Lambo in the straight, seems like AI finally managed to use full throttle in the straights to take advantage of that big V12. The Enzo was left behind in the "tight" section of the track, seems that AI still suck at taking corners.

Just because a source says that was the case it doesn't mean it's true.

Unless I see videos of PD individually modelling each car's sounds, or someone enters the sound files of GT4 (can't be too difficult for someone who knows what he/her is doing) and shows each sound is different, I will remain unconvinced.

I'm even doubting every car model in GT4 was individually modelled. The Mazda Miata S-Special lacks its distinctive rear spoiler. You would expect PD to pay more attention to a feature that instantly distinguishes the S-Special from the other Miatas.

Well, i do remember the Shelby and A.C. Cobra's being respectively LHD and RHD in GT4, a detail many would have thought insignificant or even irrelevant as both cars were for the large part very similar.
