Spreading someone's faults and bringing them up over and over again is immoral and I think you should learn that.

I never lied, I played a joke on this thread since it was really dry heck! even right now nothings going on. You should be happy that I brought a little bit of entertainment to this thread.

Some members even found it funny I mean can't a guy have a laugh once in a while or is that a crime as well? I actually even got people thinking of new ideas.

There were many mixed reactions and those who got really really really offended only got offended because they/you thought I was legit when it was obvious I wasn't.

If what I said is giving you sleeping problems then that's your problem.

GrandCobra,
You were caught in a lie by a member of staff and you were asked to either prove your claims or make a clear public retraction. After your retraction, that in all honesty attempted to make light of a situation that we take very seriously, you then act all surprised by the communities reaction to your lies. My advice to you is soak it up and refrain from posting in this thread unless you are prepared to remain on topic.

Edit:

The video is old but dubbing a soundtrack on it is new. I'd prefer it if he didn't say he did it by himself in the video description just to mess with people lol

Goddammit.

Man, that's a bummer, really got excited, now i feel betrayed.:ouch:

Btw owen.c93, thanks for pointing out it is just a false dub using real life sounds.

I said there is a Santa Claus. Well, I just woke up in the middle of the night on Christmas eve to go to the bathroom, heard a commotion, thought "IS HE HERE?!" and ran to the living room only to discover my mom putting presents under the tree while dad takes a bite out of the cookie I left for Santa.

The AUP.....

....you broke it. Don't try claiming you didn't lie. You clearly did and do so knowingly, what you 'intent' was behind it is totally irrelevant.

Let me be clear in regard to this, do it again and an infraction will be issued.

This line of discussion ends now.

Scaff

Oh, gee, thanks, we all wanted this to continue.

You, too. We appreciate it.

Actually feel more anger towards that guy who posted that false clip on youtube, which i'm glad not being the only one who walked right into it, than that guy who made some claims i didn't quite believe in the first place.

Dudes, hold your horses, gotta read the description once in a while - its not sound from GT5:
"Thought I'd try something after seeing someone do a GT4 replay with realistic sounds so this is kinda the end result. If this is well liked and generates many views, I may do more of these.

Sound is from Takahashi Kogore's 2007 Pole Lap at Fuji Speedway"

edit: err, a "little" late :D

Yes it's a false one but I don't blame this guy,he said it into the video description!!

No he made it clear enough, i'm just blaming myself mostly for being so gullible and getting excited over something, well, really exciting.
You are the one to blame however posting it in the first place.

I think I wanted to believe it, but a few seconds in (after a gear change) my "summets-is-up-o-meter" started a-ringin' and a-flashin'... then came the downshifts :indiff:

Good attempt nonetheless 👍

If you look at the video though on the steering wheel there are sum numbers that go down dependant on the steering angle. Does anyone know exactly what these numbers mean.

It's nice to see some more variables in the cockpit view that you don't get in HUD.

👍,I was so much excited by hearing that mettalic sound:sly:!let's hope we get sound like this in gt5,I say it,let's hope!!!!!:nervous:

That should be the speedometer, I think it's just not finished.
The dials in the SC430 don't work at all.

No... GT5 is going to have i think either 400,000 or 500,000

I dont know how much prologue cars actually had but i'd give my left nut that in GT5 they wont have a single extra polygon.
Not that it matters, polys in cars are the last thing that needs to be improved.

There are various sources which tell use they are in the 300,000-500,000 range.

Prologue was 200,000-250,000 I think.

My take on it is the car is modelled at ~400k poly and show at that level in the menus. But for the race I believe they will be down-sized to around 200k per car.

Other developers do the same thing. Turn10 modelled cars at 200-300k for Forza 3, but inrace they were significantly lower, and it was very noticeable.

I never played GT4, but is photo-mode separate from the races you partake in? In other words, could you pause a race at any point and take a picture, or do you have to enter photo-mode to take pictures?

You either have to start a photo-drive "event" (solo, like hot lapping), go to special photomode locations where you place the car and camera, or you can take photos from almost any replay, I think 👍

Even then, I don't think you can pause and take a snap.

You had to enter photomode(either by the icon for locations or "photo drive" for an on track pic), or "Replay Theater". I would love the ability to pause and take a pic, especially in the endurance racers as sifting through hours of footage to find one pass wouldn't be worth it.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you could only take pictures of your car in motion by doing a photo drive. The photo mode uses the higher-poly model for the car, the ones you see in showrooms and in the garage, while a regular race uses the lower poly one.

Thank you for furthering the GT5 discussion, and not filling it with needless spam. :indiff:

Anyway, is anyone interested in our "garages" looking like this? Because of the polygon limits of the PS3, we'll probably have dozens of these garages (folders) to sort our cars with. This is something I asked for several years ago for GT5. I really like this concept and the way it looks.

I'm guessing the front page screen with the garage showing will be like the home page in Prologue. You can maybe pick 5 of your fav cars, and the game displays them as such

Ah okay, and if your at a photo mode location, like Bern, can you drive the car around the location, or do you just select a spot and the car appears there?

In photodrive you have to drive around first, then take pictures during the replay. Alternatively, you can save the replay of any race and take pictures from that as well.

only the wheels differ

In GT5 from what I have read, you will be able to take a pic anytime you want in a replay

It'll be hard to pick just 5 of them, but the brand and color are pretty obvious.

I wouldnt really give much importance to that, could be PR and whatnot...

Well sure, i know they do, of course i meant the models used ingame.
Anyway, i doubt they'll be changing the cars that were already in Prologue, they must have accounted for higher poly models for menus/photomode, would be pretty stupid redoing them.
