just too much time without any important info about gt5 .... i dont know but i got the feeling somethung big is comming ...

there were the videos from mimaximax but it looks like the guy didnt have any videos anymore ... and they didnt show us much new stuff so the last "new" thing that we saw from gt5 was the gow3 trailer right ?

It actually does :)

here is a standard one in GT5, with teh white roof - about as big a proof of customisation and livery as any!

The only thing that goes against proving that there is no livery editor is the fact that a red one with exactly the same decals is in the last picture. Maybe the AI have set liveries for each customised car and the colour only changes. Or maybe that is a Mini Cup of some sort, which could mean that there may not be a livery editor. It's all speculation.

I second that. Though lovely if livery editor is true, still not that optimistic for it to make it to the final game.

Your first line says it all. I often think about how much we know about GT5; and it's not too much! It really isn't. Then I think about it philosophically: The less we know, the more there is to uncover, especially when KY says the game is HUGE in scale.

As for your last comment; oh lord. I sure hope so. Last year was supposed to be big, but it wasn't. Shall a year change that? Hopefully.

it's obvious, we know all know that.
But what we don't know, its when.

Don't know about anyone else but i'm getting bored of these vids by mimaximax, I need some fresh videos or something, not just the same CES demos.Wish they would just give a frickin release date, surely no other run up to a game has been like this??

Wouldn't be so bad if he'd stop putting silly music to them.

 If it wasn't for mimaximax, we wouldn't have seen the improved AI, the new driver animations, close up of the Tuscan, McLaren, etc, etc. mimaximax has given us a lot to talk about.

Agreed mate, however the A.I. worries me a little when they all kick up dust on the exact same turn, hopefully they'll fix that before the eventual release.

I suppose mimaximax's videos are bette than nothing but still after so many it does get a bit stale.

And we're not likely to see anything official until E3 probably. If they are indeed doing some solid work on making the AI better and adding some other finishing touches they won't want to leak anything new.

Even though I'm sure they are aware of the growing indifference and constant complaining of many the fans, they'd be keeping a very tight lid on production atm.

As SrRd pointed out the less we know, the more there is to uncover.

+1,000 for reading that.👍

[metaphor]Silence is a tricky concept. It can be so frightening and discouraging (like it has been for a long time during GT5's extensive development). But at times, I sort of like the silence. It will only lead a to a crescendo of bliss. It has to. It cannot get any more silent. It just cannot. It is leading to something; something loud.[/metaphor]

Well, people have been wanting to see screenies of new cars. I'd think videos would be even better, even if they're almost all cars we've had a sneak peek at before.

Actually, he does. Don't add any music to it & YouTube won't disable the audio....

There is no music in his original videos, just a whole lot of background noise from the Toyota Mega Web

Instead of leaving the noise in, he chose to use YouTube's replace soundtrack option. I'm guessing he doesn't have a video editor or want to bother with one

I'd say he doesn't have an editor nor has the technical incline to do it too. I mean looking at the footage it could have been shot better or if he was working at whatever stand this was at the show he could have plugged in a feed to his cam from the TV, simple cable job.

The curse with the new media (web 2.0 etc) is that we have got used to the idea that news should be produced by the hour, sometimes even by the minute. On news websites we get updates after updates after updates. By clicking 'refresh' we expect something new to have come up.

I think that this idea of news and information is what haunts many GT5 fans at the moment (or basically, for the last couple of years...), because the information released or uncovered on GT5 - either from PD, Sony, or some magazine - has on an average (only estimating though, haven't actually done any calculations on that) rather been on a monthly basis. Which would have been totally fine only a few years back when we were used to getting new news on a daily, weekly, monthly or even bimonthly basis.

Today the information flow in general is so rapid and overwhelming that the news on GT5 seems to be absent, which frustrates a lot of fans and adds to a general suspicion that the game won't be released for a long long time - or maybe ever. Almost as if no news (or not so frequent news) is bad news.

But I'm not so sure about that. Sure, I guess PD could have done some twittering now and then, throwing us a little chewing bone to keep us occupied while we wait. But on the other hand I really think that the information habits is totally up to PD to decide, maybe they don't want to fully release all the information for a reason. It might be the case that something is horribly wrong (if you're a pessimist) or it might be the case that they want the dramatic effect of surprise. It might even be the case that they are bad on public relations, what do I really know?

But I don't think of PD as bad at communicating, and I trust PD to do an awesome job. Instead I prefer to see GT5 as something like a surprise -a christmas present (hold your horses! I don't mean imply that it will be released for christmas!) - and that we simply have to practice the noble art of waiting until the magic release.

Cause it will be magic.

Yep, totally. Same cars, same track, awful music, nothing new...I mean, I sound totally ungrateful, but that's just a result of the complete lack of real news since they announced the delay for Japan. I mean, who cares about the "AI avoidance" and other stuff we've seen in the vidoes? It's not like it changes the final game or anything, or makes it launch sooner.

I don't mind the music, and if I don't like a particular track, I hit mute. What's the issue? Music is about as subjective a thing as you'll ever find. Granted, the videos don't really show anything "new" per se; but then, we'd be perfectly satisfied if we didn't think that there's (got to be?) something special in the pipeline, and we're all anxious to see what that combination is.

eran0004 is on to something with the impatience and the "I want it now" attitudes. Most people would rather have it now, but the reality is that you can't - accept it; you'll have to wait like everyone else. Complaining about mimaximax's vids is about as childish and ungrateful as anyone can be, short of sending him death-threats, that is ;)

Videos are now very repetitive. What about to show us interior view of McLaren F1? Thanks for them though.

Because in GT5 replays you can only watch the incar view of the car you drove with.. and repetitive is better then nothing, i can't believe people are whining about the videos now.. sjees.
