Porsche is amazing i really wish they where in GT5P. I just don't get why they wouldn't want their car being represented by one of the best racing games. On Friday the 7 of May my life took a positive change. I am a personal trainer, and one of my clients has a Porsche 911 Carrera it is beautiful. After our session i asked if i could take a look at it, not only did she let me look at it she let me drive it around town for 15 min. Besides having my health, family, and the birth of my little girl it was the best experience in my LIFE! I'm not going to front i was so nervous at first, My 1ST turn i did in the car felt so weird i am only use to fwd cars. Turning the 911 felt like it was on rails it was simply amazing! The suspension was very stiff you could fell every bump on the road, but i loved every bit of it. The power was crazy i didn't push it that hard however, because it was not my car. In the end i had a lot of fun! I really hope one day PD and Porsche can come to an agreement.

Compared with GT4 manufactured list GT5 is big step forward we got Ferarri, Lamburgini, Bugatti and McLaren!!! Porsche will come in future... until then we got RUF'S:sly:

... you almost see a 911 every day ( they were even used for many years by the Dutch traffic police in full police colours and flashing lights.........).

Holy cow, lucky Europeans :grumpy:, the only 911 997 I've ever seen were in a dealer nearby to my workplace. I wasn't wearing an Armani, so I didn't asked them to take a seat, I'll surely try when I travel through Europe.

I saw many 993s and 996s, they were imported when taxes are slightly smaller and tend to be running at our pothole-printed roads more often.

Agree, although the GT-series proved you can have a great driving game ( and an enormous amount of fun ) without all those brands, having all these great brands finally included in GT5 only enhances the series.
As much as I like Porsche it seems to me like just icing on a very large and already delicious cake, nothing more.
Porsche is out, get over it and move on ( I already have ), now how about Maserati? Are they in? Could they be in? Or Bentley? Or..........;)

( Dan_ those police-911's were replaced in the nineties by Volvo-stationwagons, don't ask, times change.....)

Once read a story about the Bristol showroom in London, where a tramp carrying a frying pan walked in and started to talk to the salesman about that frying pan for almost an hour.
The salesman politely replied and treated this man with respect and when the man finally left a couple of moments later they got a phonecall from this man's secretary ordering the most expensive Bristol.
It appeared the man was a millionaire acting as a tramp to see whether the company was worth buying from.:D

I mostly agree with that (only because 4 manufacturers in 5.5 years seems....low).

But, however, I honestly believe there's still 2-5 manufacturers left to uncover in the near future. And when you consider all of the car models that have come out since GT4's release, GT5 will be epic:

RUF produced 4 incredible cars since GT4

Lamborghini has produced many impressive cars (lp670-4, 550-2, etc)

Ferrari will be amazing as it matches Lamborghini at every model

McLaren will be cool if we get the MP4-12C PLUS the F1

Lexus joined the supercar league with the LF-A

Chevrolet shocked the supercar world with the ZR-1

Dodge impressed the world with the beastly ACR

Bugatti's speed record

SSC's supercar, Ultimate Aero, setting new speed record

Sweden joining supercar world with the CCX

Japan's Nissan GTR destroying cars at half the price

So much to celebrate in GT5.👍

Really? The SSC? Think Kaz is more impressed by something like the Devon GTX ( as shown in the picture :)) as it's not all about setting a land speed record.........

Yes, really, the SSC Ultimate Aero. You read it right! :)

Also, that (Devon), could be one of the new manufacturers I was referring to. That along with Maserati, Gumpert, Koenigsegg, and some others.

I was afraid I'd read it right ;), sincerely doubt Kaz would consider something which appears to be drawn by a ( not so talented ) ten-year old who's only seen a Lambo from a grainy picture once and then build by the local mechanic who has even less talent ( and a drinking problem ) and lack of resourses ( due to that drinking problem ), but ofcourse this is just my opinion.:D

, although the SSC isn't styled as a Ferrari, I think it looks good overall, like a late 90's supercar. ;) However, when it comes to top speed you can't deny the the achievements of this beast. It's particular, and unique, I'm not sure about the handling or skidpad performance, but I would like to take it for a spin.

I won't forget the first time I heard the 8.0L V10 when I was on holiday with my family in LA.

Nothing like the sound of a dump truck coming from a flashy coupe.

Although a very accurate one.

I'm sure some would call Sarah Jessica Parker a good actress, although I sincerely doubt she will rank very high on a Hollywood beauty contest and as for taking her for a spin.....think I'll pass to put it somewhat politely ;).
However I'm not argueing against any brand or car to be included, just think it highly unlikely not just for the way it looks but it also appears to be poorly executed, but my main objection is that it's such a cliche of what a supercar should look like and its only claim to fame appears to be a very high topspeed....yey.:indiff:

IMO, SSC Aero is just a desperate attempt by Americans to beat the Bugatti Veyron. Remember, Americans are good in Drag Racing. :D So those speed record is easy for them to achieve. Even 1000HP car is just a Honda civic to them. :) But in car quality and style, American car is one of the worst. Just my opinion, don't pull a shotgun on me. :D

Sony have just officially announced Little Big Planet 2 with Move support.

I hope this isn't going to be the main focus for Sony's E3 conference or mean another AAA title they don't want GT5 to encroach on sales.

A lot of people said that the March release could have been put back due to the Uncharted 2 and GOW 3 releases.

Saw the features list on NeoGAF, any chance you would know if thats an official list, because it looks absolutely incredible :)

The same goes for Porsche Panamera and Madonna, they're competent in what they do, however I wouldn't want to take none to a quick spin. Well, at least the Porsche sounds good. ;)

Yes, one is an already outdated, largely disappointingly performing concept which due to a cynical marketing campaign and loyal supporters still appears to sell by the bucketloads, as for the Panamera, I won't even go there.....;)

As an engineering masterpiece, the SSC Aero is nothing on the Bugatti Veyron, but more along the lines of a Koenigsegg. It is widely regarded that the Veyron is a masterpiece (Though I don't care much for it myself).

The reason being (Although I may be wrong) it will not be as stable as the Veyron at high speed, it will not be as good in the corners as the Veyron, it is not as useable everyday as a Veyron (Though I wouldn't know... That was part of Volkswagen's vision for the car. If you own a Veyron, please do tell us how it is to drive everyday).

It would suffer the same problems as the Koenigsegg IMO. Not stable enough at top speed etc.

And I bet it would start suffering from reliability problems much earlier than a Veyron if used in the same way repeatedly.

Im starting to fear this E3 will be like the Ridge Racer thing, except it would be like...

And Our AAA Title for this E3: Its MOOOOOVEEEEEEE.......

...

...

...

ITS MOOOOOOVEEEE!!!!!...

then Kaz Appears shows a little video with the New AMG SLS, Ferrari 458 and Corvette ZR1 all racing in Tokyo!!!!...

After that, he leaves the stage and GTPlanet goes Kaboom :)

The Aero doesn't have much of anything on a Koenigsegg, either...none of them if I'm to be honest. The Aero was built for one reason, and one reason only - and that was to take the top speed record. Just for that reason alone I can never take it seriously because it doesn't set out to accomplish much, it's just the atypical American attitude of "We can one-up you." Or, at least it seems that way. Koenigsegg's have a thought process, they bring something to the game - whether it be the unique crackle of the V8, or their dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors. They even hold patents on a couple of engine development aspects, so, they have something to back them up.

What does SSC have? 1,183 (or, 1,287 using the '09 model) horsepower with a theoretical top speed of 270+ mph (300+ from what I've read, if they want to push the limits of structural rigidity)?

If I were ever given the opportunity to, I would drive one in a heartbeat...but I'd never pursue one as in wanting to own it.
