Is it just me or does it seem like no one really cares about the PSP version?
They do, you just have to leave the GT5 threads and enter the GT Mobile threads to find them.

But GT5 has the bigger buzz because it is the bigger game. I think the only portable version of a game I have seen that is getting more buzz than its large console counterpart(s) is Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and that is just because Hideo Kojima is focusing on this and not the upcoming console game.

I know I fully intend to buy GT PSP, as do many others, and many people are looking at PSPs just to get it. Daan recently bought a PSP as well as one of my real life friends, solely for GT PSP.

Also, look at the News page. There is plenty of GT PSP news.

If you don't see GT PSP being discussed in the GT5 forum, it just means that people are staying on topic.

I Haven't seen the news here about the interview with kazanuri yamauchi(??) with a frence gamemagazine. K says that GT5 will be released very quick after GT psp. So probably this year maybe even october or november

Gran Turismo 5 confirmed for 2009!

In recent months we have already heard news about a release of Gran Turismo 5. Almost never did the news from the mouth of an important person, till today.

Kazunouri Yamauchi, director of Polyphony Digital, has confirmed that racing simulator Gran Turismo 5 rap after the release of the Gran Turismo game for the PlayStation Portable will appear. Gran Turismo for the PSP will be available October 1 in the shelves are. This means that Polyphony Digital three months time, after the release of the PSP version, to GT5 for the PlayStation 3 from them.

''We are grateful that so many people are interested in Gran Turismo 5. The game should appear soon after October 1,''said Yamauchi.

GT5 is currently playable in game one of the larger events on earth, GamesCom. Also, the race game also playable on the Tokyo Games Show, on a Monday A release date is in the air!

I have a PSP, but still couldn't care less about GT PSP. :rolleyes:

Lemme guess...the reason is the years it's taken for it to get out?

LOL

One of the excuses I used to myself to justify buying one, was GT5 interaction... GTMobile was a just a dream then. I'm very glad I bought it now.

Not agree, well, at least partially. I'll buy both, but I think there are several reasons why the hype is less on PSP version:

-. It's a portable version what means less features, and GT5 is the "big brother";

-. We already know release date, gameplay...;

In short, about the PSP version I'm relaxed because I know nearly everything about it and when I'm going to have it. But GT5 still has a lot of secrets.

A really nice video.

One thought...I can't remember if any of the cars in GT4 had lights on but, if not, they are in GT5. Could this mean night races are in?

I'm definitely buying GTPSP.

It looks fun, it will make the 2 months of waiting for Gran Turismo 5 go by faster and after I unlock a ton of vehicles, when I get GT5 I will have them in that game from the start! [if that's how it works]

I want the pre-order for the Bugatti Veyron - that would take a while to afford in GT5, so that way I could have it right from the beginning! :sly:

what do you guys think about a couple versions of the racing line? I was thinking a beginner one where it is green where you need to be on the gas, blue when you should feather/ coast, and red when you should brake. Then maybe a second "intermediate" version like the one that is already there, and then off for expert.

Oh Lord, it sounds like they adopted the Ferrari Challenge AI.
Or the IGN guy kept purposely blocking the AI (more likely) and then complained when he got bumped as a result.

Hey everyone, I got some news here!

Polyphony Digital boss and the father of GT, Kazunouri Yamauchi has confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 will be released shortly after GT PSP.

Right now, they are working hard on the PSP edition of the game, but they are aiming to have it out after the release of GT PSP on October 1, speaking in an interview, hosted on DailyMotion.

“[We're] just thankful that so many people are interested in Gran Turismo 5″, said Yamauchi, adding further “[It] should be out shortly after that date”.

It come as mounting speculation is growing that the game will release before Christmas. That speculation grew bigger when GT5 was, surprisingly, playable on the showfloor at GamesCom. It’ll be at TGS next month.

Sorry if it's already been posted.

Actually, looking at that photo, it would appear the Subaru is the only one with it's lights on...so...it could mean we'll have the ability to turn on our lights. Maybe we can flash them at slower traffic.
