Actually, looking at that photo, it would appear the Subaru is the only one with it's lights on...so...it could mean we'll have the ability to turn on our lights. Maybe we can flash them at slower traffic.

Or maybe you can turn lights on at night races :embarrassed:

San Gimignano, Italy

There is the place, you can see the stairs and the tower pretty good, but the rest of the photo is too blurry unfortunately.

Thanks a lot !

Just have a last request, I know it's not really the place but answers are fast in here :D
Can someone give me a list of the "Photomode" locations in GT5:P ?
By this I mean places like the streets of Bonn, the Park in Germany, the temple in Kyoto, the Nurburg Castle...
All those places I've seen on screenshots with a car displayed in those places.

Would be very much appreciated :)

I could give you coordinates for the German places. :)
Gimme a second.

EDIT:
Nürburg: 50° 20′ 47.25″ N, 6° 57′ 14.66″ E
Ahrweiler Marktplatz: 50°32'31.11"N 7° 5'38.43"E
Niedertor: 50°32'37.89"N 7° 5'55.39"E
Lennepark: 50°32'30.07"N 7° 9'18.37"E
Bonn: 50°43'49.89"N 7° 6'12.91"E

That thing with the park is a bit strange, when you search for the Lennepark it directs you to a place which cant be the one from GT5P, but the "Kaiser Wilhelm Park" nearby looks like thats the place.

Thanks GT Ace !
I had Nurburg, Markplatz and Lennepark but not Bonn and Niedertor.

I may have the coordinates for Shorenin Zen Garden but not sure.
34°58'0.02"N 135°47'59.73"E

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong ;)

Name given for that location is Kamakura (Japan), I don't know the exact coordinates.

How strange, I think that's the first time its been mentioned, I think that's practically official. Unless there talking about the financial year. Then its a bit obvious.

It says (translated) "4 Quarter 2009," which is what we've been hearing for a few weeks now. Looks like a launch before Christmas is a sure thing now. Well... as sure as it gets with Gran Turismo.

It depends on if they are going by calender or fiscal year, if it's calender than December is almost guaranteed. However if it's Fiscal it would be from January to March(going of the Japanese fiscal year too by the way).

Elegant super sports cars, perfectly designed tracks, ***LOST TRANSLATION***, intricate graphics and a rapid pace which only Gran Turismo can duplicate.

The players are "spoiled" with a choice of more than a thousand dream cars. They can capture the checkered flag in speeding, impressively realistic ranges of cars and can race on the PlayStation Network for free trophies.

The NASCAR and WRC championships are two new entries in this racing title to expand the "Gran Turismo" experience. Players are challenged to fight against racers from around the world to gain a place in the rankings.

I expected it to reveal more than that, but oh well ;]

Although it was inevitable that trophies were coming, it has got me excited about them even more, im looking forward to the platinum. :) I like the fact they say that they're spoiling us with a 1000 cars, just sounds funny. Gets you excited.

I wonder what challenges they will offer for trophies.

1,000 cars

That's every car in GT4, every car in GT5P, then add 300 more.

PD doesn't want to just one up Forza, they want to crush Forza

I thought it was many cars from GT4, not all of them as you say. I'd guess around 600-650 will be carried over, leaving us with 200 new (give or take a few) cars in GT5

I don't mind driving the same cars from GT4. The question is how will they carry over those GT4 cars? Just upscale them to HD? Completely rework them? :nervous:

Yea, this remains to be seen. I'd want a lot of GT4 cars to return, but some could definitely be cut out. In an ideal world, 600 would be kept, giving us 230 never before seen models. Is this plausible? I am not sure. Are there 230 worthy models to add?

I don't use interior view for my driving. But having 1000 cars seems amazing to me because I am tired of people using the same cars in GT5P, for midsize car everyone choose integra, sports car is NSX, and super car is ford gt 40, with 1000 cars there should be many many cars at each size that is competitive so you can see a broad range of vehicles in each race. Infact I think having 1000 cars is more important than having damage, but both would be nice. :)

ummm....I think yall mean "600-650 cars carried over and then 350-400 new cars" that would equal 1000 cars. And some of those we already know of. Like a slew of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, the Veyron, the new Nissan GT-R and 370Z and the newer Corvette C6. (and Maserati might appear too) so....It sounds like there will be a lot of surprises.

650 + 230 = 830, that's 170 short of the 1000+ we've heard from several sources now

GT4 has around 650 cars

GT5P has around 70, but many of the 70 are cars from GT4. The Vipers, the NSX, the Ford GT, the Mustang, etc etc and some are just newer models of cars from GT4 like the Corvette C6, which shouldn't be counted as a "new" car but should be counted as a "GT4" car in a sense

=ReBeL=

1,000 cars modeled to full PS3 spec/GT5P quality is a very real possibility. Remember all the 600 cars in GT Mobile have interior view and somewhat decent graphics. Why shouldn't all the GT5 cars have interior view and GT5P quality graphics? Remember how the info said 20 tracks / 60 variations? They probably focused on modeling the cars and not tracks. They probably will release many many tracks via DLC.

1,000 cars = no GT6 and ALOT of DLC confirmed in my mind.

Are there 230 worthy models to add?

Heck yes. The Ford GT90, dozens of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bugattis, and Maseratis.

Classic Ferrari Formula 1 cars

More stock cars.

The Lola Aston Martin , the Dome S102, the Audi R15, the Peugeot 908, Aston Martin GT1 cars et cetc

etc etc

etc etc

I could find 200 worthy cars in 2 hours lol
