You can get one with either one stripe off-centered or two down the middle.

Traditionally, its only on one side from all I've seen.

The Tokyo pictures on the official site show the stripe on the driver's side, just as in the latest trailer and real life. Perhaps the image you saw was flipped?

edit: Just remembered that I didn't see the pictures of the purple and blue ACRs on the offical site. In any case, I would venture a flipped image if you saw the stripe on the other side.

I'm not sure about the ACR, but the ACR-X can have a single stripe, down the left, right or centre. Or it can have a double stripe, down the left, right or centre. (At least I think it can be on the right... It can certainly be left or centre. The .pdf colour scheme file on the Viper site isn't working)

Vipers of old traditionally had a double stripe down the centre.

Can anyone find a couple of Viper pics from new and old to compare? The ACR-X is a different model.

Actually no. Click around gtplanet until you get to the picture of the ACR viper at the top of the page, and you will see the stripe is on the left side/passenger side.

No, just pointing out I found it amusing the topic most discussed a day before E3 info was a real life car and its stripes, not anything GT5 related.
If tomorrow they would announce a livery editor for GT5 you can put stripes on any car on any place you wanted.
